What a piece of paradise on Koh Samui, we had a fantastic stay at this exceptional and tranquil resort. We stayed there a week with our 10 month old daughter, and couldn't have picked a better place. The location, the facilities, the pool, the breakfast, the beach - everything was great. We do also want to give a special mention to the incredibly friendly staff including Oom, Mam, James, An, Noom, Pang to just mention a few. They were extremely service minded and also took great care of our daughter. Would love to come back to Sala Samui, and this comes from a couple who never goes back to the same place twice!

This was the first hotel we statyed at on a 2.5 week holiday in Thailand and it was the perfect way to start our trip! The hotel decor is simple and understated, but it still felt luxurious and special. We stayed in a double deluxe room with varanda, which had an open bathroom and was a perfect size for two. The varanda area with daybed almost doubled the size of the room and was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The gounds of the property are exremely well maintained, including the beach and the two pool areas, and considering the property is over 10 years old, it feels practically brand new. Having an adult only pool was great and it was a very peaceful and serene area to relax in, with a gorgeous view of the sea and beach, with beautiful views of the sunrise! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, and was included in our room rate. There was a buffet style area whith a huge amount of choice of hot and cold items, including western and asian options. You could also order items from the menu to order, such as eggs, and special juices which were delicious and different every day. Everything was amazing at the hotel but the standout for us has to be the staff. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the staff couldn't do enough to help us. Every single staff member was polite and helpful, always making sure that we had everything we needed. Although not expected, we gave a small tip to each staff member that brought us drinks or food to the pool/beach, as we felt the service was worth it and they were more than deserving! I requested a special gift in the room on arrival as it was my partner's birthday and they left an amazing cake for us. The reception team were always happy to help us order taxis, change money, give information about the local area and they also booked our boat tickets to Koh Phangan which made life much easier for us!

Although the food was delicious, and not bad by any means, we felt that the dinner in the restuarant was slightly overpriced. We had some other meals at restaurants along the beach front and although the restaurants were much more simple compared to SALA, we paid a third of the price for tastier food and larger portions.

Absolutely everything! From the warm welcome, super nice explanations and showing around to the very last transfer to the airport. Everyone was super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The villa was simply amazing, I was a bit nervous about the outdoor bathroom, but the feeling faded instantly and showering next to palm trees proved to be so nice! The restaurant was super cute, by the beach and there is really good food. We tried the Spa on a rainy day, which was a very nice experience as well. The SALA app is easy to use and being able to book transfer in different places on the island is a plus. Thank you for a great holiday!

Flawless experience! The AC was quite loud on the first night, but the staff reacted super fast and fixed it, offering us another room at the same time, which fortunately was not needed in the end.

Everything about our stay at the Sala was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. The facilities were spotless - it was honestly impressive how well coordinated and cohesive the team at the Sala were - we witnessed a member of staff identify a minor issue and within minutes it was resolved by maintenance. Our pool villa was perfect - the bed was comfortable, we had consistently good sleep throughout our stay. It was always a treat to come back to our room in the evenings to find a new nighttime tea before bed as part of the turndown service. We spent much of our time by the pools/beach - the loungers were very high quality, seating options were varied, pools were pristine. A huge shout out to the "beach boys" and bar staff who made our stay so great. Some of the best service we've had. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL. We cannot fault it - plentiful options, very high quality and service to match. We looked forward to it every day. Our experience at the Spa was very comfortable and worth every penny (we would highly recommend)! That said, guests should note that there is an independent spa operating on the beach right next to the resort which is very affordable - not to be missed if you want a cheap and cheerful massage while listening to the sound of the waves! The attention to detail and thoughtfulness around the guest experience - creating little moments throughout our stay to make it feel special - was such a treat. We don't often stay anywhere more than once, but we will certainly plan on returning to the Sala with no hesitation. Brilliant stay.

We really do struggle to find a fault - we can't think of anything!

We loved our stay at Sala Samui! Service was some of the best we've ever had, attentive yet unobtrusive. They continuously went above and beyond. Special shoutout to the guys working at the pool. The room terrace was incredibly relaxing and the outdoor bathroom provided a unique experience. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious, with an amazing selection.

Impossible to open the door to the bathroom when the curtain is drawn because it swings open (design error). Means we had to go through the terrace to use the toilet at night... New Year's Eve Dinner was a letdown. Buffet was super limited and entertainment quite tacky - we were expecting more considering the cost (our most expensive meal in Thailand).

Lovely hotel with beautiful pools and a stunning location on the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to ask, though sometimes a bit too distracting for our baby when she was trying to eat. The restaurant was great and worked very hard to cater to the allergies of our daughter and we felt very safe eating here. Small but useful gym, good spa/massage.

There were so many mosquitos around our room, which didn't seem to be an issue in the public areas or at the next hotel we stayed at which was near the jungle. the outdoor bathroom was sometimes inconvenient as a result.

What an amazing resort! We have just departed Sala Choengmon after an incredible six night stay. The location is gorgeous, tucked in on a beautiful bay, white sand beach and plenty of options for water sports, swimming, restaurants and massage. Only 10 minutes from the airport so very handy. But - we barely left Sala! The resort is stunning, two beautiful pools, plenty of lovely bales and beach beds under the palm and fig trees, or next to the pools. But what really makes this fabulous resort so wonderful is the team. From Mr Wee who was so helpful, to the amazing Ms Oom and Ms Mam, who manage a team in the restaurant who always strive to make your experience one you’ll never forget. There are so many wonderful staff, and I’m sorry I can’t name them all… Pang, Pen, Poy, Pui and Noom and Parn by the pool, just to name a few. The food is out of this world - super fresh and incredible Thai flavours. Thank you again - we are already planning our next visit to Sala Choengmon on Koh Samui! 🥰

The best hotel in Samui, I mean… you will never find better stuff than this hotel. The stuff are so welcoming that you feel they are part of your family. That’s alone make the difference.. We came for our honeymoon, and we were so happy so chose this hotel. Garden pool villa was the best choice we did. If you are coming to Samui, specifically couples, don’t think twice. Take this hotel! For families it’s also good, but for couples it’s just perfect.

10/10 Breakfast is good, but there is a room to improve it which will match the high level of this hotel.

The villa with the pool was all money worth, private and we enjoyed the private pool; the sunbeds were comfortable, the staff was excellent and so nice, and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was of top quality. The resort and villa was quiet and calm (good sound protection). In the neighbourhood there are restaurants and places to visit/dine/coffee.

We could recommend a “bar” area other than the beach bar, were you could enjoy a pre-dinner, before entering the restaurant.
