This place is magical. We went here 5 years ago as well and booked again. Then saw the reviews and got a little scared. Really have to say it was so lovely again. I would recommend booking a bungalow which is at the spacious part of the hotel with sea view. So beautiful. No the bungalows are not build yesterday and are a bit older but everything was comfortable, didn’t find any stains anywhere. The breakfast was good. Nothing outstanding but everything you need. Fresh eggs made for you. The coffee machine is a bit slow so you have to wait sometimes 5-10 mins. But there is also a pot of filter coffee when you don’t want to wait. We are on a holiday so no rush right :) A motorbike is recommended but they also have pendel busses. We stayed here for a week and had the best time. Miss it already 🌺

I don’t understand why the reviews on booking are so low thank God I checked Google reviews before I checked. My stay it was exceptional! the resort is operating in European standards super clean perfect spot the island is tiny they are offering shuttle service and the beach and the pools are to die for. I wish I had booked all my stuff in Koh Tao to this hotel!

The booking.com reviews confused me but I saw some YouTube vlogs on how this resort is and Google reviews and I am happy I did otherwise I wouldn’t have booked! I would definitely would come back! I have nothing to complain!!!

Haadtien is located in a magnificent bay with superb views (also from the restaurant) and a splendid palm tree garden, including a beautiful pool. The bungalows have an authentic and unique style, offering everything that is needed (the daybeds are awesome). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and even supported us in organizing a transfer on Koh Samui, for which our next accommodation would have overcharged us. The resort is located a bit off the beaten track — this is something that we enjoyed very much, but of what you should be aware of. In sum, we liked it so much, we even extended our stay for an additional night.

The one thing that Haadtien really needs to improve is the breakfast. While the coffee is good and there is an egg station, for example, we really missed fresh fruit juices. Frankly, we were a bit worried because of some of the mediocre reviews lately. We understand the criticism that many things are quite worn-out (e.g., the mattress, parts of the interior, the sunbeds). For us, this rather conveyed the impression of a Thai jungle feeling and did not have any impact on how much we enjoyed staying at Haadtien. However, the resort must pay attention that it does not reach a tipping point, where more people start to feel uncomfortable.

The beach, the breakfast, the location and the rooms and the way the hotel was built are fantastic. It’s a beautiful place and the hotels blends and hide in the scenery. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Rooms are good but could be better for that price.

No one was waiting for us and helped to take our luggage to reception when we arrived. It’s was a bit slippery and would have been nice to have someone to help. No welcoming drink as it usually happens in hotels. Staff in ge eral could be more friendly and helpful.

- there weren’t enough sun beds available by the pool on the lawn. another row could easily be added - no member of staff was monitoring who used the pool and sun beds, which resulted in people from the beach using the facilities - unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish on the beach. this is not the hotels fault, but more could perhaps be in place to help collect the rubbish that washes up during the day - free shuttle service could be extended to slightly later hours

The location was beautiful and having toured around the island, we felt was definitely the best location on the island. It feels as though it has it's own microclimate and is sheltered. One day when the other beaches were windy, the sea in our beach was very calm. The sand is white and powdery. We stayed in a lovely cabin which overlooked the pool and sea. It was a perfect location. We were glad not to have stayed in a room on the beach as there was little privacy. The room gave us an upmarket glamping feel , which was great. We hadn't expected luxury as this is Tao not Samui and it's nice to have some comfort away from the crowds, so a compromise was to be expected. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we like the shuttle service. Despite being a little shabby and low in drawers, the room was super clean and this makes a big difference for me!

We were really disappointed that the onsite dive centre was not operating and had actually booked this hotel for that reason. The website still indicates that it is, when in fact it is not. We had to go into town to use a dive company which meant getting up very early. Onsite food and drink is not too expensive although they add on extra for service and tax. The spa was poorly staffed and was expensive (for Thailand)so I ended up getting a daily massage in town.

The beach has two residents turtles and its a must for snorkling. Boats from outside come to the beach, while if you stay here, you can have the beach for yourself.

It's a lot of money per day, though the place is amazing. The beach could have more organization among groups that come on the boats out from the hotel. A very sad event occur during our stay, when one person got lost while snorkling and got picked up uncounscious from without breathing. The hotel provided a very quick response with an ambulance entering the hotel, but again the tours entering the beach should have more staff on the water boats and surveillance in the water. Be aware of the danger while swimming without life saving vest as it can be easy to get lost from the boats or your group.

The hotel has a beautiful beach, and the staff were very kind and attentive.

1.The hotel has two restaurants, Thai and Italian, but the food was truly disappointing. We were let down as we had to leave the hotel to find good meals. 2. The bed linens in the room were clean, but old stains remained on them, which was unpleasant. The hotel corridor floors were dirty and not cleaned regularly and The restaurant chair cushions were also stained and unclean. 3. The massage salon prices were overpriced. While you can get a full-body massage in the city for 600 b., hotel prices started from 1800 b. However, I believe these issues can be easily resolved and improved. I hope these comments will be taken into consideration. Wishing you success!

The location, I believe, is the best on the island; the beach is gorgeous, and the cabins are spaced out well, so there is a sense of privacy. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to assist. The pools are clean and relaxing and the brekky buffet was excellent. Our room was always cleaned and tidied and super comfortable. The transfer to and from town was really helpful.

Sadly, too many tourist have too little regard for the beautiful environment of Koh Tao and leave their litter lying around both the ferry and the island which ends up in the water. Some would pluck the plastic out of the water and place it into the bins.

Getting collected from the pier. Location and hotel grounds are spectacular. The pools are stunning. The proximity to great snorkelling (and turtles)! The free kayaks. The complimentary shuttle service to and from town. Special mention to Dave the manager who seemed to have a genuine interest and concern for the guests. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful

In general the rooms and premises are looking a little tatty and ready for a refurb. Our toilet required maintenance from us as it stopped working quite often. Parts of the hotel grounds were a bit like a construction site with rubble visible The linen was a bit old and tatty, with tears in the duvet covers and sheets. The towels also looked tired. Given what we paid for our stay, I feel we did not get value for money
