First of all i want to say, that staff are amazing. Very helpful and extremly nice. Owner of the hotel is educated guy and a great person as well. This hotel is good for short stay, especially for young couples or travelers, that probably come to learn scuba diving in Koh Tao. Room is pretty clean and cozy with comfartable bed. But, once again-staff is outstanding. Can strictly recommend for short stay.

May be it is kind of Thai hospitality, but i was a bit surprised and ever shocked, when saw that during quests arrival to premises all staff run fast outside, include women (mostly so nice people from Birma) and just carry on so heavy big bags (luggade) for ever young people to the lobby. For me it is looks bad. That is not kind of work, that staff (at least woman) suppose to do. It is completely redundant. But it is only my opinion.

This is a simple comfortable hotel run by a beautiful local couple who have been on the island for decades and will give you all the inside tips. I was given such a warm welcome and there was always time for a smile and to make sure I had everything I needed. 12 hour reception and they live just behind the hotel if needed out of hours (WhatsApp numbers on a handy reference sheet). The room was simple but thoughtfully set-up with some lovely touches such as refillable flasks rather than more plastic water bottles. Very clean. Great bathroom. A nice desk with lots of natural light made a super little office during my stay. Relaxed location on an interesting lane lined with cool coffee shops for breakfast leading down to the stunning bay with relaxed bar/restaurants and the excellent Hydronauts dive centre. Lovely beaches and viewpoints within easy walking, kayaking, scrambling... distance. When you want more lively entertainment Sairee Bay is a short taxi ride away. Taxis, laundry etc all organized and at local prices. Turns out (chatting...) that the hotel is named after the owner's birthday. This is just so fitting and sums up how integral the hotel seems to their life.

Don't expect high end luxury. But who wants that on Koh Tao anyway?!

The staff was very helpful. They sat down with us and explained the hotel rules, gave us plenty of recommendations for good spots, beaches and restaurants. Free taxi service to and from the pier. The room was cosy with lots of storage space. Cleaned daily. Good laundry service! The pool was super nice too!

The shower head holder wasn’t adjustable, so in order to take shower, you have to hold the shower head in your hand which makes for example washing hair difficult. It leaked quite a lot too, but the room was a wet room anyway, so that’s okay. The water coming from the bidet shower was very smelly.

Good quality for the price Friendly staff willing to sort tickets for ferries and activities for good price which is very helpful You will need to hire a bike/scooter to get to this hotel really ( hotel charge 200bht per day) as hotel is slightly out of the way from Sairee Beach. Impossible to walk to every day as too hot in summer. 30 mins each way at least. Staff give many good tips on where to go for trips AC in room very good/cold

The shower head in our room needed a bar attaching to move it up and down. It currently has just one fixed position high up the wall which isn’t helpful for showering . This meant you had to remove head from wall every-time you wanted drenching and then soap up separately, this is not how a shower should work. This is a problem a handyman could fix in a few hours. Drilling a sliding frame into the tile wall. Tea and coffee weren’t filled in everyday so had to ask for more. Pillow was really hard and not relaxing used my travel pillow instead. Hopefully once those little improvements are made it will really put this hotel in a top class for its price which it does well with anyway.

I have NEVER awarded a property 10 before but wow does this place deserve it. I stayed with them during the monsoon rain when there were flash floods and intermittent electricity black outs. I therefore tried to leave for Bangkok earlier so I could make my flight. The staff could not have been more kind. They drove me to and from the port multiple times for free as I tried to book a boat out, held my room whilst I found out if I could leave early so I wasn’t homeless, and refunded the days when I had booked to stay but no longer could because they’d promptly sought another customer to take my place. The room was spotless and comfortable, with free water refills. The pool was lovely and pool towels were provided. There is a newsagent right next door for basic snacks etc and food cafes restaurants within walking distance. WiFi is good. Shower pressure and heat is good. Cannot recommend highly enough. Book book book!

Loved it all. Maybe the staff being available via WhatsApp might be helpful for those customers who cannot make telephone calls / need a response quicker than via booking.com chat - but this is very minor!!!

Best thing about this hotel are the staffs! They’re very attentive and so ready to help you with anything you need. The hotel is located in Chalok area which is not far from the pier and also Sairee beach. There is also bike rental service provided which is so easy compared to other bike rental. Also if you fancy snorkelling, there’s equipment for rent for just 100thb a day with a good quality. Taxi from pier and back to pier also provided for free! The room is so clean and cozy. Housemaid cleans the room everyday and fill up coffee, cocoa and snacks for you everyday! There’s also water refill station in the hotel which will help you save up cost of expensive water on the island! How thoughtful of them :) All in all, I had a veeeerrrryyyy impressive stay at MAR24!! 100% recommended and will definitely come back again :)

For us this was our best hotel in our trip through Thailand! This hotel is not so big which makes it more personal. The staff is super friendly, kind and helpfull. They provide good advice for visiting the area. They provide fresh water in the hotel, different snacks in your room every day, and they have options for renting a motorbike and snorkeling set. The beds are comfy (not so hard like many hotels in Thailand) and the room is clean. The hotel is also located close to nice restaurants and the night market of Koh Tao, all at walking distance. We 100% recommend staying in this hotel when you visit Koh Tao!

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. They offer pickup and drop off at the pier, scooter rentals (which didn't require passport or a deposit when I was there), and tour and ferry bookings. I really appreciated the introduction about the island, places to eat and things to do, upon arrival. The room was modern and had all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel plus snacks, which was a nice addition. There are quite a few restaurant options and a 7-11 within a short walking distance. It's also a short scooter ride to the free entry point for sharks bay (I went in the evening, around sunset and saw about 4 sea turtles with no crowds!).

It's very much the indoor/outdoor living type of building so there are a lot of lizards and other critters in the hallways. There were ants in my room. I didn't feel comfortable getting in the pool because the water was cloudy. The owner stated that it was because the chlorine needed to filter through the filtering system and that it should clear up, but it didn't clear up over the course of my 3 day stay.

On arrival the man & woman at reception were very friendly. The man on reception was super helpful, he talked us through the island where has the best viewpoints, sunsets and even where we could do laundry. We werent suppose to check in until 1pm but the owners had the room ready for 12.15 which was brillaint after a long day of travelling. The hotel is kept so clean & if you dont want your room cleaned the cleaning staff leave a little basket outside your room with a little snack, 2 towels, toilet paper, tea bags, coffee & sugar which is such a thoughtful thing to do. The hotel is at the quiter end of the island but still has little restaurants, brocoli places, food stalls and 7 11 within 3-4 minute walk. The beaches, viewpoints and busy area is only 7-8 minutes on a moped. Parking outside the hotel for your moped also. Good pool and has outdoor showers and a toilet right next to pool. Free pick up and drop off to the pier which is also a plus. The man & woman both advised us about a boat trip that we could book through them and gave us the best option which was to do the boat trip with 25 people that leaves at 9am to beat the busy period on nung yuan island. We ended up booking this boat trip & they were both so helpful rang up for us to book us in, the company was called oxygen & they were absolutely fantastic. The staff were so lovely, helpful and friendly & we had the most amazing boat trip.

We stayed here whilst doing an open water course with Ocean Sounds (which is a 5 minute walk away) and the location was perfect. Lots of nice places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk. A short taxi to Sairee Beach which the hotel will arrange for you if you don’t rent a bike. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. It was also quiet so we got good sleep. We walked to shark bay in 15 minutes for great snorkelling. Really, really lovely staff, we had a great welcome briefing where they went through the best places to go snorkelling/to the beach and restaurant recommendations. They leave a basket outside your room each day with fresh towels, snacks, water. You can have your room cleaned, you just need to ask. We didn’t use the pool however it looked lovely and clean.

A bedside lamp would be great. Shower was slow to drain and smelt a little bit but the actual shower was good.
