The private double-bed room was super spacious, lots of closet and desk space, very nicely designed and comfy. AC and Wifi worked very well. Water and cleaning services were provided daily. Soap and shampoo are provided. The description said the room included a water boiler which wasn't there but they brought one to my room after I asked for it. I read comments on problems with the call for prayer from the mosque right in front of the window from the room which almost deter me from booking this accomodation, but I honestly barely heard it a few times in my stay and never after 10pm or 7am (and it has waken me up before in other places) and when I did hear it, it wasn't loud, not more than the cars running down the street. The staff were kind and helpful booking tours and transportation. All in all a very pleasant stay during the start of low season.

There is a very nice spacious hang out space next to reception but there is no ambience there and it is barely used. Unlike the reception, there is no AC in this space which would be a very big plus. Like I read in another comment, the place has unexploited potential. There are even guitars hanging from the wall, I assume for anyone to use. If they would put AC and some nice music the place would be really attractive for people to gather or simply hang out there.

Bed was rock hard Noisy at times - to lock the door behind you have to pull it hard so bangs. Chairs scraping on the hard floor, traffic noise. Need earplugs but as expected for a hostel No social activities facilitated by hostel, the ones advertised were not running

The location is quiet nice because it's right in the middle of Ao Nang road. So you can walk to the beach or to another side. Back to the hostel review. You will pay 300 baht deposit for a key and a towel that the receptionist will give you back after check out. I stayed in the mixed dorm on the 3rd floor for 6 days for $73. I was okay with carrying my 15 kg luggage on the 3rd floor by myself even though I didn’t expect that so be prepared 💪 Our room had 6 beds. Mostly people were staying for a night or two. Everyone was respectful of each other’s space. Each bed has a curtain and a drawer space for your belongings with a hook to put a lock on it, but the hostel don’t give you a lock. I guess it would be weird if they had access to your stuff, right? You can use your own lock or buy one in 7-11 nearby. Showers and toilets were clean most of the time. There was body wash and shampoo available there as well. Most of the staff was friendly. 95% of the time I was talking to one lady that wore hijab that she is an angel! She was super helpful with all the questions I had and helped me booked a few trips with discounts applied.

I got foot fungus from showering once without slippers in a common space shower

The locations great. Staff was friendly. There’s laundry right next door. The storage lockers are very large. Ac was nice and cold. Soft comforter. Very fair price.

It could be cleaner. The laundry area had a lot of issues. The staff did correct those issues for me though. The biggest thing I disliked was the way the beds are setup. I have never stayed in a hostel that had the opposite beds positioned so you are facing each other (like foot to foot staring at each other). I found this very strange, slightly uncomfortable esp considering this hostel has limited partitions/curtains. Esp considering if the other bed has their light on, there is nothing to block it. I ended up hanging my towel there and that helped some. I think a partition should absolutely be placed between the beds to improve guest comfort.

The private room was such a nice size, really comfortable bed and lots of windows so it was very bright. Also really good air con. The hotel is in a good location about a 10-15minute walk to ao nang beach. The hotel staff were also so helpful whenever we needed them!

The noise from the road outside is quite loud, maybe this was just because our room was at the front but we got earplugs and slept fine!

This is my second time going back to Pop-In Ao Nang and when I go back to Ao Nang, I’ll probably stay there again. The staff are great, super friendly and helpful. They even remembered me from my last visit (probably because every day I had new questions). They’ll arrange any trip or transfer you want/need to do and the prices are better than getting it from the street. The rooms are clean and cool, even without the air con on. Beds are comfy, you get a towel when you arrive. I

I have zero complaints about this place.

The staff were super friendly, I asked them so many questions we were on first name terms very quickly. They helped me book anything I wanted to do, taught me Thai words, gave great advice for trips that they thought were better than the one I was looking at and what to do in my next location. The local was perfect, a 10 minute walk from the beach and right amongst all the night life, but not so central as to he noisy. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Ao Nang.

The beds were super hard. I like a firm mattress but I found these a bit uncomfortable.

We booked into a very spacious private room and were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and ensuite bathroom. The staff at the front desk were super helpful with booking us tours and transfers on from Krabi. The hostel is within walking distance of Ao Nang beach, with plenty of restaurants and bars along the way.

The hostel is located near to a mosque, which meant an (unexpected) early morning wake-up call. But it didn't last for long and we easily managed to get back to sleep.

Nice location, 15min walking from the beach where you can take taxi boats to go around! Quiet area, with cheap shops, delicious street food and restaurant! Small room with fan and AC but comfortable beds, socket and light for each bed. It's available your own drawer under the bed, big enough to store your luggages, you need a lock! Deposit is requested and refunded upon check out and a towel is provided. Nice receptionists available to book easily tours and transfer! Relaxing common area

Toilets and shower "in the halways" in between rooms so could be a little noisy sometimes, quiet clean but always smelly!

Really clean facilities. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal and very near the beach too. Other people in the hostel were so friendly but it wasn't noisy at all or the party kind. They allowed me a slightly late check-out as well. Loved my stay here. Would highly recommend it for any solo travellers or groups.

Only thing was I wish the sinks had a flat surface to keep my things and the toilets and showers were a little more lit up.
