The staff were always helpful and went above and beyond for us to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was an incredible mix of western and Thai cuisine and everything tasted great. The beach was clean (the staff cleared litter and debris every day), and the room from the bungalow was so serene and peaceful. There weren't many people during the time we visited so the beach often felt very private and quiet. The hotel has scooters and golf carts for hire and you can easily book a massage. Everything was amazing and really made our honeymoon the most romantic and mo¥emorable it could have been. Thank you to everyone at Mira Montra!

Nothing - the place is unreal!

We loved our stay at Mira Montra. The stuff were amazing! Very kind and helpful and always there for us. The hotel has an overall relaxed ambience with tones of quiet luxury. We stayed at a beachfront villa which was very pleasantly decorated with natural materials and a very comfortable bed. We loved relaxing on the porch, gazing at the birds flying over. The beach was lovely! The food at the restaurant was great! Breakfast was fine too. We really miss staying at the Mira Montra. We definitely suggest it and hope to re-visit.

Although a bit apart from other resorts and shops, the hotel is situated in a beautiful position with tremendous views. The rooms are modern, well equipped and very clean. The restaurant was good, the complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea were very good. The staff were very helpful and attentive, although there were some communication difficulties at times. The swimming pool and surrounding areas are lovely, but the beach and sea are almost out of bounds due to sandflies and sea urchins. I have great memories of this place.

The only one thing that let the place down was the really poor WiFi, which caused us difficulty trying to book ahead on our trip.

Location is quite isolated so be sure to rent either a bike or golf buggy to explore the rest of the island! To be fair you will need some form of transport to get around the island regardless of where you are staying and it’s only a short ride to the nearest centre. The pool and beach are nice. Rooms fairly spacious. Welcome drinks were nice.

Some of the staff could have been a bit friendlier. The staff in the restaurant and on the grounds were all friendly though :) also in the rooms I think they could plant some flowers or shrubs along the balcony area to add some wild life.

In terms of value for money and comfort, Mira Montra is the best choice on Ko Mak. The staff are all exceptional…polite, friendly and attentive. Special mention to Chanya on reception who is just wonderful and even remembered us a year on. The breakfast is decent and I appreciate being able to choose from a range of complimentary equipment, I.e. kayaking, snorkeling, etc. The rooms are excellent, the fittings and small details make all the difference. The grounds are beautiful and a real credit to the gardeners and maintenance workers who keep it so. Even when it rains, you’re super comfortable.

We thought long and hard about this, and it makes one realize that they have thought about almost everything.

Breakfast is great, varity, both American, and Thai-chinese. The beach is very peaceful. The location is excellent.

Too many uploading and downloading the luggages, too many time. Since we got to Trat land pier, downloading and uploading to the small truck, and one more round from the truck to the boat, when we reach the Koh Mak Pier, we go another round to the truck, and the last round from the truck to the room. But this is not about Mira Montra, it's about the regulation of the island.

Such a wonderful place, the Hotel has the most beautiful beach on the island. The staff is incredibly good. I loved them. Beautiful, large rooms with incredible sea views. The hotel services were excellent. Great service, great breakfast and excellent cuisine. I think this is the first hotel that has free kayak, paddle board rentals. A surprise for me was also the tee/coffee time every afternoon where you could refresh yourself. You can rent a stylish scooter directly at the reception for a fee of 300bth per day, which is great. I have been traveling to Thailand for many years, but this was one of the best stays for me. A small minus during our stay were some ill-mannered noisy guests who did not respect the peace of the night and, for my taste, many families with babies. Maybe the hotel could consider closing the part where the pool is in the evening.

Great location. I like the view from our room on the hillside. Staff are great. its very chilled and relaxing. Don't expect any nightlife on the island. Scooter hire opens up the island so go exploring. Day trip to Koh Kham recommended. We did not have any issues with sand flies.

Stayed top floor of a block on the hillside.The smelly water from the shower was a negative. Had to run it a while each time for the smell to clear. Could do with more sun loungers at the pool and beach.

The non-existent wifi (simply unacceptable for a hotel in general, let alone a hotel of this standard). We did not feel sure about the water quality in the shower. The minibar was empty upon arrival. The uncomfortable balcony chairs. The Thai options of the breakfast. The lack of information about the hotel facilities and area at check-in. The smoking area can be made more comfy.

Really nice hotel at a beautiful beach with a lot of possibilities to do. You can rent a motorcycle for a whole day directly at the hotel, kajak to little islands from the hotel beach and go snorkeling. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a large selection with good quality and it is really tasty. It just could be a bit more Thai food but you can get rice and a little selection of different Thai food every day. We can really recommend to stay there.

The beach is really nice and it is possible to rent kajaks or SUPs for free but the water is a bit flat. You need to go inside for a while before it is getting deeper.
