I really enjoyed my stay at Terra Cave Hotel in Goreme. I had a cave suite, which was very comfortable. The weather was cold and snowy my entire stay, but the room temperature was very mild; I didn't even use the heat. The bed was comfortable and there were 2 chairs to sit in. There was a fireplace that I could have asked for wood, but I didn't use it. The front desk person, Aisha, was a joy. She was so nice and I enjoyed talking to her each day. The breakfast served up on the terrace was lovely, and the staff there very pleasant. I was able to get several bottles of water each day, since you need to drink only bottled water; I appreciated that they provided this free of charge.

Even though the weather turned during my stay, and I was unable to do the hot air balloon, or even to see the balloons take off at all, staying at Terra Cave helped make up for it. I was comfortable and enjoyed my little cave suite very much.

The first day we were welcomed by Ayse with a lovely smile. She was the receptionist who did our check in and even though we arrived early, our room was ready and we were given the key immediately. Ayse was very helpful providing information about the tourist attractions around Göreme. We stayed for 2 nights in a king suite style room. The room was cozy with a spacious bathroom and a nice bathtub. Amenities such as slippers, bathrobes and shampoo were also provided. The buffet style breakfast was included and the ladies in charge of the kitchen would ask you if you want omelet in the morning. There was freshly made warm food and also cakes and sweets to go with your tea or coffee. The day we checked out, Ayse gave us some turkish sweets to take home with us. That was really nice of her. Also, the guy who was at the reception after 5 p.m. on the 15th of Feb. helped us contact our transfer to the airport. I didn't get his name, but thank you for your help!

It was a beautiful stay and our first experience in the caves. The hotel is centrally located and not too much up hill and a short distance from the center which makes it a cherry on top. It has a terrace which is mist in Cappadocia when the balloons are up in the sky. The staff is extremely helpful and warm which sometimes can be rare in turkey . Always ready to help whenever needed. The breakfast was really nice and actually had lovely taste. The heating was amazing and even in December room was warm and cosy.

The floors everyday could have been mopped better - they need to start their on terrace restaurant and make it more lively in evenings

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Terra Cave Hotel in Göreme! Abdullah, the manager, went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. Our room was stunning—cave-style with a cozy fireplace that made it so romantic and warm, especially during the winter snowfall. The hot water was reliable (a big plus in the cold!), and the daily breakfast was fantastic—delicious, with a lovely terrace view of the balloons floating over Göreme. The staff were incredibly supportive throughout our 4-night stay, providing fresh water daily, helping with laundry, and organizing tours like the Green Tour. They also gave excellent advice on where to go and what to do, which made exploring the area so easy. The location is great, too—close to everything yet peaceful, with beautiful views. We loved every moment of our stay and highly recommend Terra Cave Hotel for anyone visiting Cappadocia!

Location was very good. Good view. Good neighbouhood to walk around. Good heating of the room (I went in December). You could sleep in the room without blanket even. Staffs were good. Everything was clean and looked traditional. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was great.

Bathroom shower was a little oldish. You will have to turn two nobs to get the correct water temperature. The hotel does not have a lift. Not a problem if they could provide some assistance to carry your bags while check out. In my case they could not. So I had to carry large bags through stairs for 2 floors. It will be excellent if they can keep this arrangement. They have cushions on the roof to watch the baloons, but those were not clean and the colours have faded. I hope they will change it.

We spent four nights at this hotel and were very satisfied with our stay. The atmosphere was lovely, like visiting a favorite grandmother's house—clean, cozy, and with delicious food. Since the hotel is small, there weren’t crowds or noise; we never had to wait in line for breakfast, and there was always enough space for everyone. In the evenings, we enjoyed quiet moments on the rooftop, and in the mornings, we took great photos with the balloons and the city in the background. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options, including tasty fresh fruits, and they prepared eggs to order. My favorite was the juicy vegetable omelet (Special thanks to the ladies who cook and serve breakfast!) The hotel grounds are charming, featuring two rooftop terraces with lots of interesting details in the decor to explore. The staff was very nice and helpful; they assisted us in booking a hot air balloon ride and arranged transfers. While waiting for our return transfer, we enjoyed evening tea with snacks on the terrace.

One downside was the weak ventilation in the bathroom. However, I understand this is likely a feature of the cave construction and climate.

Really enjoyed my stay. Nice quirky hotel, very conveniently located. Goreme is a small town, so everything was within a short walking distance. The room was huge and full of character. Massive bed, good WiFi. I especially liked the bath - just what was needed after a long day of winter hikes!

Nothing that I didn't like as such. The breakfast could have had more choices, but this is not something to complain about. The omelette was nice, the women who served breakfast were lovely, the fire was a great bonus, and the view from the breakfast room was gorgeous.

Rooms: We booked suite rooms. The rooms were large with 2 sofas for sitting, both inside and outside the rooms. Breakfast: Not the greatest variety being a small hotel. The quality was good though. There was an option to get hot omelettes. The views from the breakfast place were awesome.

Parking: to take your car out of the nearby parking at 9:30-10:00 is a challenge. Reception Staff: We encountered 2 people - the one who welcomed us was courteous. The other one who was present on Day 2 and checkout time was rude. And sorry - handing over sweets at checkout won't get you a 10/10 rating. Rooftop: Not the best views of hot-air balloons in the morning because of the location and orientation of the hotel.

The best experience in our life ! We’ve been there in november 2024 One of the best hostels in my life ! The location is amazing, one of the best view on Goreme and the baloons with the rooftop, the breakfast is also very well down, well cooked best one we had ! The room was breathtaking we never experienced anything like this before And the owners, workers are so gentle, sympathics, they helped us many times to book activities, to advice us for some, and restaurants, also they helped us with our bus to leave Thank you for everything !

Nothing, everything was perfect

I think from all my travels, this was probably one of the best places I have stayed in. The cave room is incredibly spacious, comfortable and well presented. When inside it feels like you're your own world, it is quiet and peaceful. The furnishings are perfectly suited to the room and are extremely comfortable. Breakfast has a combination of made to order omelets and also pre-made local dishes. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Terrace is perfect for viewing the balloons in the morning.
