Location was superior. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was not as expected. I was expecting more diversified breakfast and more continental. I guess breakfast is good for Arab taste but for sure not for European taste.

The breakfast was excellent, the food was delicious, and the hospitality was top-notch. The location is perfect, with easy access to city sights – the metro station is right next door, and the tram stop is just a short walk away. We opted for Haveist for airport transportation, and the metro and tram made getting around a breeze. Most major attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, and Topkapi Palace are within walking distance. A word of advice: while the location is great, watch out for the pricey restaurants on the street where Maywood is located. Instead, head to places like Meşhur Filibe Köftecisi in the Hocapasha area for more budget-friendly dining options.

It would have been good if the hotel gave us complimentary water bottles instead of chargable water bottles.

The breakfast is very bad.. although it is the 5th time we stay here, we choose this hotel only for the location and cleanliness.. the breakfast is rich, but the same things every day, the lowest quality of all the products. The whole menu should be changed, it goes a lot on low cost..even the coffee is very bad (I know that ness is served everywhere, but the one here is of very poor quality).

The breakfast spread was excellent! From fresh pastries to a variety of hot and cold options, it catered to every taste. I especially appreciated the fresh fruit selection. The hotel's location couldn’t be better. Being close to key attractions and public transportation made it easy to explore the city without needing a car. Plus, the surrounding neighborhood had plenty of charming cafés and shops within walking distance, adding to the experience. My room was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was plush and inviting, and I loved the little touches, like soft lighting and high-quality toiletries. The view from the window was a nice surprise, and the quiet ambiance made it easy to relax and recharge after a day of exploring.

The only downside was the occasional noise, which could be a bit disruptive, especially during the night, or early in the morning.

The hotel has the best location. Employees are attentive and kind. Breakfast is quite varied. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

The walls and tables in the dining room did not look very clean.

The hotel is located in the very center of the old city, very convenient to walk to all the central attractions, we never used public transport to move around the city. Excellent work of the hotel staff, they were very attentive to us and kind. They told us the necessary information about the accommodation and the city, offered their help and services. It was nice and unexpected to receive a small gift from the hotel. We had a spacious triple room with everything you need for living. Comfortable beds, variable lighting in the room, there were 2 small balconies overlooking the street. Good varied breakfast, a choice of different dishes and drinks, we did not go hungry. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and we can recommend it to others.

The hotel is located very close to the historical center and main sightseeing places. At the same time, the street is not very busy in comparison to the next street with the tramline. The personnel was helpful. Good breakfast. There is a possibility of transfer to IST Airport (40 euro max 4 passengers).

Hotel was very nice, comfortable and clean. Staff were very hospitable from the reception, cleaning lady to the egg cooker. Lots of hot water, big safe, very comfortable beds & pillows which I appreciated when I was sick for 6 days out of 10. Ac/shower all worked great. Great quiet location for tram, metro, ferry

The noise from the bar restaurant across the street. Clapping, singing every night till sometimes about 3 am. But closing the doors did eliminate most of it but the ac caused me to cough. The breakfast although very plentiful was the same nearly everyday. The wifi did cut out every time you left the room and had to go through the whole procedure to sign in constantly, the door key card frequently wouldn’t work, annoying but they fixed it.

Hotel Maywood is located in the heart of the Old City, Istanbul. It is literally within a short walking distance from the main tourist attractions, such as the Aya Sophia and Sultanahmet Mosque. The tram stop and train station are right on the doorstep. The breakfast offered plenty of healthy options, including salads, cheeses, vegetables, fruit, and my favourite, watermelon. There was something for everyone. The staff were excellent, especially the front desk team—Ahmet, Oğuz, and Mustafa. They always had a smile on their faces and were generous with their advice and tips. Eda ensured the room was thoroughly cleaned, and she even came to check if I was satisfied. I do not regret the choice made. The positioning of the hotel in front of the main attractions in Istanbul is perfect, located in the immediate vicinity of the Istanbul train station, metro and tram. In the area of ​​the Istanbul train station, there is a parking lot where you can leave your car for an unlimited period. The price was changed from January 1 to 550 Turkish lira/day, the parking is quite safe, I had no problems. What I appreciated the most was the staff, who far exceeded expectations. In particular, I want to thank the person who greeted us at the reception on the day of arrival, a blond gentleman who provided us with all the information we needed to spend a wonderful stay. I recommend this hotel with confidence, the price-quality ratio being a very good one. We will definitely return to this location on our next visit to Istanbul.
