Minel is close to everything including the T1 tram. Great breakfast.The staff are all friendly and there is a real sense of community from the neighbours from the other hotels and shops. Minel is on a little quiet backstreet complete with neighbourhood cats. Thanks Faruk for all your help

The rooms are small but manageable for two, if you are wanting more than a place to sleep do check the room size first

Little hotel with amazing location near all of the main places and historical monuments. Tramway, shopping, restaurants - everything is just a few meters from hotel. Location is quiet, the staff is very nice, breakfast was so tasty. Cute cats are all around and they also have a little house in front of hotel. Nice place to stay. It was not luxurious, but the price-quality ratio was fine. We liked it there.

The bathroom could be a little cleaner…

Great team, all members of minel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Any question we asked, any assistance we needed, they provided with a smile. Really cozy place, I mean, our room was a little bit small, and the stairs were a little steep. But I guess that's the price for the stay in the hearth of old city for a reasonable money. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you, Minel hotel team.

The spiral staircase was very unexpected

They serve a wonderful breakfast with a wide variety of items, including sweets and traditional foods, in a cozy and lovely dining room. The hotel is situated in an amazing location within a historic area. The reception staff was very helpful, allowing us to store our luggage at the hotel for several hours after check-out so we could continue exploring the city.

There are a few small drawbacks to this hotel. The main issue is the stains, which can be difficult for families with young children or even dangerous. It would also be helpful to pay closer attention to the stains on the pillows and bedsheets, as they make the linens uncomfortable to use. Lastly, the smell in the bathroom is somewhat unpleasant.

I loved the location and the staff: the hotel is not easy to find, it's in a small and narrow yard, you have to go down the steps. First time I arrived there, the taxi driver left me on the main street saying he couldn't drive closer to the hotel, so I struggled a bit trying to define the hotel's exact location, a man passing by asked whether I needed any help, then he showed me the location of the hotel. The location of the hotel is just perfect - you can just walk to many main tourist places. There are many cafes, restaurants and mini markets nearby. The personnel - Mr Faroukh and the lady who was cleaning the rooms and preparing breakfast were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily, the towels can be changed upon request. Breakfasts were very good + you can fill bottles with water from the water dispenser. I also loved that the room had a refrigerator and kettle with cups and glasses. The reception area is very cozy - I loved the art corner with books, drawings and glass crafts. The hotel is located in a quiet place - we had a comfortable sleep. As a cat person I loved the presence of beautiful cats there.

The rooms are very small. The furniture is a bit old, in general the rooms need some renovation work. The drain hole in the shower was clogged and the water got accumulated on the shower floor. Also there's no light inside the shower cabin. There were no bulbs in the wall lamps next to the bed - I informed the owner, he promised to fix the issue but unfortunately this problem was not solved during my stay. Also there's a smell constantly coming from the bathroom - I mostly kept the door closed. The stairs between the floors are a bit challenging - you should be very careful when using them.

The room view is straight towards The Topkapi Palace and the Gülhane garden. The hotel is located in the center of the old Istanbul, just between The Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia Mosque. You can literally walk to each in under 5 minutes. Also, with a less than 10 minutes' walk through the beautiful Gülhane garden, you can reach the coast where The Golden Horn meets the Bosphorus strait. The Minel hotel staff were all friendly and nice. They helped us in every aspect of our travel from the moment we walked-in to the last moment. We just felt we are staying at our friends' house. They also have lots of cats which pet owners might like.

As your friends' house may have some dust under the bed or around window frames, or a few ants, this is also the case for the Minel hotel. The room refrigerator wasn't in good shape, however, in a short touristic stay you wouldn't need one.

It was over expetactations. As a solo traveller I felt at home. Everybody was friendly and Farouk is a very good host. He makes you feel at home. The location Is Amazing, very close to all the central attractions and very close to public transportation and around the corner there Is an Amazing park where it's nice to rest and enjoy the nature. The room and the bathroom essential and Super comfy. Highly recommended the Minel Hotel

Staying at this cozy hotel in Istanbul was a delightful experience. Its convenient location made exploring the city a breeze, and the welcoming staff added a personal touch to our stay. The highlight, though, was undoubtedly the delicious breakfasts served each morning. Highly recommend!

Location is very good. Tram stop, Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet are near. Walking distance to ferry boats and spice bazaar. Faruk was very friendly and helpful. Everything was easy to deal with him when our flight was late. Breakfast was basic but ok. We liked the cozy atmosphere of this place. Could easily go back again😊

The stairs are a bit steep as often they are when in Istanbul😅

First of all the location of the hotel is one of the best locations you will find in istanbul, in julhaneh and just one minute walking from julhaneh tram station and 5 minutes also walking to ayasophia mosque or serkci station. The hotel is simple and his manager called farouq will make you feel that you are in your home Besides the price of the room it is always one of the best prices You will find it in sultanahmet old city. Simply i advice everyone to make it his choice. Really big thanks for farouq.
