Fabulous location, love the area with its hip local small cafes, restaurants, and artisan shops. The room was basic but nice, comfortable bed, small bathroom but fine, great shower. Water and coffee available in reception. Very helpful owner, Alp, very nice. Be prepared to party all night on a Saturday night, as nightclubs there are very loud all night long! You might need earplugs. Alp moved me to a quiter room the next day, and the other 3 nights were great. He really did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. Great value for the price. I would stay here again. Best of luck!

Nobody there when I arrived to help carry suitcases up several flights of steep stairs, so I had to call the owner. He sent someone immediately so that was fine. Some issues with the room, and I had to text and send photos on arrival after a long journey, but again Alp moved me to a clean, quieter room the next day. A stressful start, and couldn't sleep at all that first night, but all got sorted the next day. The rooms need some more places to put things, but Alp knows that, and is still making improvements. All good in the end.

Very cozy room and friendly and an extremely caring host. But the main thing is location. It is in one of the best areas of the city to hang out, but not overly crowded. Lots of great places for breakfast or night out. A lovely wine bar and a cocktail place next door, 7 min walk from one of the bes places for breakfast and endless coffee places all around.

The location comes with a price of suffering a bit when ordering a taxi in dense traffic. Hopefully, the tram/bus station is 5 minutes downhill. Breakfast at the place - I personally would forgo the breakfast in exchange for a small disount in a price, since the area is crawling with top-grade cafes.

Incredible host! We felt so welcome, I can't thank Vedat enough! Stylish rooms, great shower (temperature and pressure), free unlimited water (very much needed on hot humid days), comfortable bed, warm blanket, TV. The location was exceptional too, just off famous Istiklal Street - food, shopping, entertainment all within reach. Galataport and Galata Tower, trains, buses and ferries all within walking distance, beautiful area to explore Istanbul from.

The rooms need more sound insulation, you can hear very clearly when someone goes up the stairs or is talking loudly on the street. However, it is not a very busy area so it wasn't too noisy most of the time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Roya Rooms and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the level of hospitality that was provided. The staff were not only super professional, but also incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible (special Thank to them!). The location of the hotel was also a huge plus point. Being situated near the İstiklal Avenue, Galata Tower and Galataport meant that I was able to easily explore the city and enjoy all that it had to offer. There were also some amazing restaurants in the area, which made dining out a true delight. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a top-notch experience in Istanbul. From the excellent level of service provided by the staff, to the prime location and fantastic dining options nearby, it truly is the perfect place to stay for those looking to explore the city in style.

Nothing to complain about

Fabulous central location and still felt like a very safe district, close to Italian embassy. The landlord was a very polite/courteous person and keen to address any minor issues we had in a prompt manner.

Could’ve possibly offered continental breakfast, but having said that, there were plenty of other options nearby.

From the moment of our arrival to our last minute we were extremely thrilled for the amazing hospitality. The location was great! Roya is situated on the quiet street in the popular area Beyoğlu, near Taksim. There is everything a tourist needs - a beautiful promenade , ancient sights, European architecture, shopping and cafés. All the members of the hotel were so friendly and accommodating. The host can give you a lot of information , help with the luggage and book a transfer to the airport. The room had a unique design. It was really stylish and clean. I was travelling with the toddler :) If you are travelling with the baby, they can offer you a baby crib! The atmosphere was pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast and fresh baked Turkish cookies. Thanks again to the Roya Rooms that made our stay a good time, comforting and secure. Hope when we return to Istanbul, we will go back to the hotel!

Hotel staff are very hospitable. We called Western Union to meet our urgent cash needs. However, this situation proved very difficult at the weekend when the banks were closed. Employees searched many addresses in Istanbul to find a Western Union branch with cash in its safe. It was an emergency for us and thanks to the staff we were able to handle it. Central location of the hotel provided a lot of convenience. We will definitely visit again.

There is no elevator in the building.

This is our 2nd time in Istanbul and our first time at Reu de Hotel. From what we hear, it has been renovated. All I can say is; I'll come again. :) The location is great, the staff is welcoming, the room design is nice and clean. Prices are reasonable. Thank you! :)

Original “loft” design, cleanliness, very friendly personal. Perfect location - Istiklal, Taksim, Galata, Galaport within walking distance. Close to metro. A lot of nice bars and restorans nearby. Terrace on the roof.

The mattress was too soft for me. Despite all ingredients included in breakfast were fresh and tasty, I prefere fried or scrambled eggs instead boiled available only

What a pleasant surprise! Great hotel and location, exceptional value for money. The hotel is close to the most important landmarks and activities. The room was clean and comfortable, we didn't hear any noises from the street. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They cooked breakfast eggs for me because I don't eat cheese and gave us fruit for our trip to the airport. I can definitely recommend Roya Rooms!
