Nice small size hotel, with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very tastefully decorated with Turkish paintings, good sized rooms (we had a room overlooking the street - worked out very well). Sparkling clean bathrooms. Water bottles in the room at no cost …little things that make a difference 😊. Elaborate lovely Turkish breakfast set us up well for the days! The best part was an absolutely amazing location in the heart of Sultanahmet, which made it walkable to the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque. We even walked across town to the Galata tower.

there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

As the other hotel I stayed at was full, I booked at Royan Suites at the last minute, and boy I was not disappointed and wished I has stayed her the entire 4 days I was in Istanbul. The hotel staff (Gem, Ayesha and the rest) really made us feel comfortable. The hotel/rooms are modern, Internet is fast and the corridors smell fresh, the beds are comfortable and the basket of fruit in the room/coffee machine are perfect - this is surely going to be my hotel of choice when I visit next, and surely going to recommend to Family and Friends. Breakfast prepared by Ayesha is yummy and the presentation and freshness of the ingredients gets you perked to tackle the day ahead of you. The Location is central and walking distance to the main tourist attractions, the area is safe and even walking back at 1am was comfortable. A BIG THANK YOU to Royan Suites Team.

I stayed for 9 nights at the Royan Suites, I was greeted with kindness, helpfulness and a big smile! They exceeded in everything, always on hand to help. The man who works nights, he was so friendly, on the first night we arrived he took the time to show us the maps of things too do..he was most welcoming. It’s a small hotel, intimate, and you feel like you’re at home! The hotel cat kept me company a lot which I adored! Netflix was a bonus!

Wifi kept disconnecting sometimes. The street the hotel is on, you get continuously harassed by neighbouring restaurants (maybe if you’re not a man this wouldn’t apply) it can get quite uncomfortable sometimes and I deliberately used to sneak past them because of it.

Location is awesome. The 2 main attractions are literally 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. Good variety of choices for food around the area. Be it restaurants or a small convenience stores or even a bakery.

My only issue was heating wasn't working as well as I had hoped but that's probably my fault for not asking how to use it properly. Other than I couldn't fault the place.

Friendly staff, welcomed us like we were family. We met the owner and his son (Jem) who were so lovely. They were very accommodating and willing to help. The breakfast was phenomenal and room was in a prime location, 5 min walking distance to Haga Sophia, Basilica Cistern etc and close to the tram that takes you to Eminounu. Restaurants and shops right outside yet the rooms sound proofed well so no late night noise.

Excellent location. Very close to major attractions and the tram line. Lots of options for food and shopping near by. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The locality is lively and there are lots of resturants and shopping close by. The hotel is around 10 mins walk from major attractions like the Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand bazaar and Topkapi palace. It is also very close to the tram line which you can take to visit a lot of other places in Istanbul.

It’s a small cute hotel right in the heart of the old town. The location is awesome - it takes you just a few minutes to walk to Sultanahmet Square, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, Basilica Cistern and Caferaga Medresesi (a local school of art), as well as to the nearest tram stop. The transport system and logistics are super convenient, one just need to get the hang of it. There are just 7 rooms in the hotel, but they are quite spacious, modern and clean, the rooms’ sound insulation is very good (the windows do contribute too) - despite a crowded location, lots of restaurants in the street, and muezzins’ calls to prayer one can sleep very well (at least so in winter when one doesn’t open the windows often). There are a couple of small “supermarkets” in the street where all sorts of the most necessary stuff can be bought. The hotel personnel is very friendly, helpful and mostly English-speaking. The traditional Turkish breakfast is very tasty and includes eggs cooked or fried up to your taste, some fruit and vegetables, olives, butter, jams, juice and coffee or tea. It is served in the hotel lobby. The beds are really king-size though the mattresses are too soft which is a matter of taste. The room is very light but the curtains allow a sound, undisturbed sleep.

Please add bathrobes and remove plastic flowers or change them for natural ones, so the hotel is yet a better choice.

The staff were amazing right from welcoming us in till departure. The location is unbelievably nice. The house cat was a thorough delight! Amazing breakfast spread. Çem & Ayesha are so helpful with every little detail.

The only dining option was the amazing breakfast spread. We so badly wish we could have had an option to eat food for other meals ( lunch or dinner) as well!

‏ they have the best customer service and the energy of the place and the workers just amazing. I highly recommend the location of this property. It is so close to everything and very convenience. Also, they have the best breakfast overall excellent and highly recommended.

I like everything

Perfect location in Sultanahmet, very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and well connected with the rest of the city. The hotel and room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was great as well. I recommend this hotel to stay in Istanbul.
