The staff at this hotel were excellent. They spoke very good english and were happy to engage in conversation with us. They would offer coffee or tea when you sat in the common areas. The location was a quick walk to the main tourist attractions and there were restaurants close by. Our favourite was Doy Doy.

The rooms are quirky and dated, however sufficient when you are only sleeping there and out of the hotel most of the time. The internet was not always consistent downstairs and much better if you went up to the reception area.

Location

The street is noisy from cars and pedestrians. The windows insulation is not enough. The breakfast was very generic.

It was in a fantastic location, very near to the historical attractions of Sultanahmet - indeed it almost backed onto the Blue Mosque. At the same time, it felt very local and homely, and the street was quiet (apart from the regular calls to prayer, which are obviously part of the atmosphere). The breakfast was excellent - varied, tasty and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we moved into was lovely and airy with enough space to relax, and I like how it was decorated (with a nice painted ceiling too).

The original room we were originally placed in was far too small, with barely enough room to move. And it was a bit dark with a view only of next doors washing being hung up! I thought we had booked a larger room, but the owner said it was standard. He was able to move us into a larger room which was really nice, light, roomy and with a better view. We had to pay 15 Euros / night extra for the new room, but it was definitely worth it. I think if we had stayed in the original room our experience would have been very different. As it was, we had a lovely stay.

The staff were fantastic! The breakfast was a bit boring, and the noise from outside was a lot (but they couldn't really help that, could they) – overall, though, the staff made it worth coming back again. The terrace on the top of the building was BEAUTIFUL, and made the place very worthwhile.

The rooms were a bit pokey, but we weren't in Istanbul to stay in our rooms, so all good! ;-) There's not much more to say about what we didn't like; most of it was unavoidable / would be the same everywhere, such as noisy building works nearby, with the smell of workers' cigarettes coming in, etc – not specific to this place at all! We're happy we stayed here.

The location of the property was great, the staff was very welcoming, and the interior decor was also quite pleasing to the eye.

Everything was to our liking.

The property was nice and clean and they listened to our request of giving us the ground floor room. The staff were exceptional and were very warm and welcoming. The location was 4 mins to the blue mosque which was great. The breakfast was good which we enjoyed daily. Room cleaning was always available when needed! I would deffo stay there again if I went to Istanbul.

We had booked a triple room which I do feel was a bit small as we couldn’t even open our 2 suitcases.

The hotel is very close to all the main attractions so Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia, Basilica cistern is like 5 min away which is very convenient. The hotel is very cosy and the staff was very helpful. Our room was clean, the beds very comfortable and it was very quiet. From the terrace you could see the sunrise and sunset and it was great. I would happily stay again and I would highly recommend it.

the location was amazing, the best place in Istanbul, with amazing traditional restaurants nearby, amazing staff, beautiful location, and access to public transportation,

the rooms are not well noise canceling, our room was on the 3rd floor which is right under the terrace, one night we were sleeping right from 2:00 Pm till the early morning there were some people who are walking on the terrace and moving the chairs and talked too much, it was awful I used my noise canceling earbuds that night to sleep, besides our room was little small, we booked an economic stay, but we didn't expect that kind of, but it doesn't affect all the other possible sides of that hotel..

Asked for 2 cups of tea and the young man charged me 20 TL each - on checking the prices I found out the hotel sold you tea for 8 TL when the hotel manager actually gave them to me for free on the last day before we left the hotel ! So I was a bit upset as to why this had happened .
