If you’re looking for a comfy and clean hotel in the old part of the town, with charming streets and some of the main attractions at walking distance, look no further than Efzen. The hotel’s location is just perfect, and the rooms are comfortable and super clean, equipped with all the little things you might need: cosmetics, tea, every day fresh towels and linen, and even umbrellas for rainy days. The best part is the concierges and hotel staff. The guys were always helpful, whether we needed a taxi, hammam recommendations, or a friendly chat on Turkish cultural norms.

The hotel has very good location, many main sights (e.g. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar) are within walkable distance, the place is clean and decent and has the basic facilities for a few nights' stay.

My room was rather small but that was OK for me since I only spent the nights there; otherwise it was very good value for money.

Perfect location near Sultan Ahmet mosk (200m). Very pleasant owner. Just a little bit smaller room but enough for 3 of us. Very clean with all you need. Nice new bathroom. Everyday woman cleaned room when we were out. 24 hours someone is on reception. 6 or 7 minutes from tram T1, but you have to go up the street. Quite street, there is no traffic, only from time to time you here on a few seconds metro train in the street down the hotel, which is nothing according to trafic jam in 15 million town in lot of streets. If you like an old emvoirment and historical part of the city this will be just ok for a few days vacation. Not expensive and worth every Euro.

This is a great hotel with a great location. All the necessary places were nearby. The hotel room was very clean, cozy and the service was high quality. Everything is good

The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to help with transportation directions. The location was good, within a 10 minute walk to the Old City's main attractions. I would classify it as a "boutique" hotel as it does not have features one would expect from a hotel, such as a lobby or meal facilities for breakfast (unavailable).

No restaurant, some rooms are small with no closet to speak of to conveniently hang clothes (the area for hanging clothes consisted of a rod that was very high and difficult to reach the hangars. We changed rooms and the new one had lumpy mattresses.

My stay at this hotel was simply excellent. The level of cleanliness was outstanding, with daily cleaning and fresh towels ensuring a comfortable environment. Despite its proximity to trains, the atmosphere remained quiet, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Situated in a vibrant tourist quarter with numerous restaurants, the location was perfect for exploring. The staff were polite and always willing to help, adding to the overall positive experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the spacious balcony offering a stunning view of the sea. With all these amenities at a very reasonable price, I couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. A special thanks to Manager Abdullah, whose assistance was invaluable; he promptly addressed every question and need we had. The location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk to the iconic Hagia Sophia, making it incredibly convenient for exploring this historic area. Efzen Hotel provides clean rooms and a nice room service. You get some hygene products and are always nicely greeted at the entrance. The 24h reception is very helpful.

The hotel is located in die Walking distance to the Sultanahmet Mosque and the Ayasophia wich might be nice for some visitors. We found the very touristy area to be a little annoying and the prices for restaurants especially high. But it is relatively near to the center and the tram or Bus to reach Emiönü are in 10 minutes walking distance. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but maybe be wary about the recommendations if you are travelling on a budget, you should be able to find much cheaper alternatives.

The view and friendly, helpful staff. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room, but they also had a coffee machine in reception that you could use. Very close to all the mosques.

The room needs a little tlc. Some fittings in the bathroom were loose and the counter in the room hadn’t been wiped down properly. However I am sure if we had said something (which we didn’t) it would have been dealt with immediately. I am not marking them down for this and would happily stay again!

Sergei and the staff were charming and friendly, and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was very clean, and we were grateful that there was a room that could accommodate the five of us. The Efzen Hotel is very conveniently located for everything one might want to see in Sultanahmet. It represented excellent value for four nights. And we appreciated the fact that the hotel was able to arrange hassle free airport transfers for us. The children loved the hot chocolate!

Haven’t really got anything negative to say (!) - we struggled a bit with the door to our room, but somebody was always around to help us!
