The place was in a very convenient neighborhood to commute to all the sights and eat good food! It’s literally around the corner of the Galata tower! The room was extremely clean and beautifully equipped! All the staff was incredibly nice and helpful! Especially the owner took the time to talk to us or help us out. She was very warm and authentically welcoming! We received a WiFi device for free to carry around for the whole trip. This way we didn’t have to buy SIM card, which was very thoughtful! The breakfast was very big and delicious. One night we were hanging out at the bar talking to the bar tender and he was really excited to show us the roof top for the incredible view. We loved staying at the Walton Galata and felt very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff. We are looking forward to coming back!

Hotel is conveniently located for exploring Istanbul. Easy access to all major tourist attractions. In the vicinity of Galata tower in a very vibrant area with lots of restaurants , bars shops. Few minutes walk to Istiklal . Short walking distance to Galata bridge, piers of Hasimpasha or Karakoy thus for ferry transport which we would recommend as favorable mean of transport for exploring wider Istanbul. Great hospitality approach starting from reception and particularly from owner Zejnep who really paid attention on our needs during our stay. Rooftop restaurant where good breakfast is served is additional plus to overall impression. Rooms spacious clean and comfortable.

The hotel is at great location, very close to Galata. The owner and staff were really nice and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel gave us an Istanbul card and small wifi modem upon arrival, free of charge. That way we were able to have internet all time while exploring the city. Our room was the same as in photos, only bathroom need some renovation due to moisture and mold. Overall we enjoyed staying at this hotel and their hospitality is above all.

The breakfast was Turkish style, but with cheap salami and sausages and lots of jams and cheeses. You can order eggs and cornflakes but they really need to work on this as this is not something what would you expect from a hotel with this rating on the booking. Maybe a small buffet would be apropriate because one can choose what to eat and some quality food instead of cheap one.

The best thing is the staff. From reception team 24hrs available to the owner Zeynep. Everyone since the arrival wants to make sure you feel welcomed. Also the super nice lady of the breakfast service! The location is amazing, next to Galata Tower. The room facilities are super! Best hair dryer I ever had in a hotel hahaha They also give you a transport card to use during the stay and a free welcome cocktail!

At first they gave us a small room (perfect for one person I might say) next to the elevator which was a little noisy but without asking, the change us automatically to a bigger and not noisy one. Amazing service!

The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Galata tower and the location was very convinient. The room was quite large and according to the description. It was also a small balcony. The breakfast is served on the top floor where you can also have dinner and some drinks. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. They also gave us an Istanbul Kard to be charged for public transportation and a small wifi box that was really useful when discovering the city as we could be connected all the time without extra charge

The bathroom was big, but would need some renovation as it is quite old. The breakfast was Turkish style, which is not bad, but after 4 days it started to be a bit boring. I would have preferred to have a small buffet. For the price of the room, the fact hat coffee (except filter and Turkish) has to be paid in the morning.

The hotel met our expectations at all levels. The location is perfect. A five minute walk from the Galata Tower. Another 10 minutes from Istiklal, and 10 minutes from the tram station to Sultanahmet. We even walked from Galata Port at night and it was just about 15 minutes away. The area is safe and we never felt uncomfortable walking around even during nighttime. The hotel is very nice and exactly as shown on the pictures. The top floor with glass roof and windows where breakfast and meals are served is ideal. You can see the Galata tower while enjoying a cup of coffee... The staff is the best. Especially the receptionists who were extremely helpful at all times and helped us with directions, reservations for restaurants and other activities. We are so grateful to the three of them. A special thanks to the hotel owner, Zeynep, who contacted us on the day of our arrival to ensure that everything was fine. She was very nice and, every morning, welcomed us with a large smile at the restaurant for breakfast. The areas is very quiet at night.

The bathroom in our room was rather small and did not match the pictures shown, and needed a bit of fixing. But that's not a big problem and it did not affect our stay neither our good opinion about this hotel. We definitely recommend the Waltons hotel Galata for anyone who wishes to spend a few days in Istanbul and be close to most of the relevant places in the city.

Maybe the opportunity to log into a Netflix account Maybe an extra mirror/light at the desk Although I have these points here, this is only recommendations for improvement. The owner, Zeynep, was the perfect hostess, greeting us each morning in the rooftop terrace, where a delicious and plentiful breakfast was served. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was nicely appointed and spacious. The location is quite central and the area is walkable, with restaurants, shops and Galata Tower nearby. Any time we had the slightest need, we got kind assistance. We felt we couldn't have found a better choice for a comfortable stay in Istanbul.

- The team was very responsive beforehand and assisted us as best as they could with an early check in - The team was generally very responsive and was willing to help whenever we needed assistance - Zeynep (owner) was so attentive and communicative during the stay and we felt so welcome at our stay - Any issue (lift not working, minor roof leak) was communicated clearly, resolved very quickly and the team let us know at all times what was happening - They had an excellent breakfast spread

No complaints from my side

We (3 couples) stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from Sept 23 to 27. This hotel is very close to Galata Tower and with 10 mins of nearest tram station. The old city where major attractions such as Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace are located are within 10 mins of the nearest tram station. The breakfast was served on the rooftop restaurant and bar which also has a very nice view of the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque especially during the night. The rooms are quite large with a very nice bathroom. The owner, Zeynep was really nice as she helped serve the breakfast and helped with everything from Transit card, mini Wifi modem to take along and recommending the attractions to see. She was very friendly and genuinely interested to help. Other staff at the hotel including Salim were also great. The hotel has a very small lobby area but it didn’t bother us at all. The closeness to major attractions, the Bosphorus river, nice rooms and friendly staff would make us recommend this hotel.
