The only thing I did not like about my stay on Onomo was that, the Taxi Driver around didn't like other drivers from outside to park front the hotel to drop off or pick up guest who are staying in the hotel. And I found that very disgusting, I reckon the hotel authority must do something about it as soon as possible.

Perfect location for us as we were working at the Sandton Convention Centre. We were able to walk safely to and from work. Conveniently close to Sandton City. Staff very helpful and perfect for work travel.

The biggest issue for me was their TV offering. They only have SABC and eTV. Most of the programming was not in English which I suspect may be an issue for the volume of international people staying there. Signal was erratic and 2 channels were showing the school tutoring channel. For people traveling on business a little tv viewing in the evenings when you are away from home is comforting but here we couldn’t even use the tv to log into Netflix.

Great location. Literally a few steps away from the mall. Friendly staff Clean Showers are great Breakfast was good for the price (it is buffet and no longer order off the menu) Good wifi

There needs to be a sign to say uber cannot collect you infront of the hotel and can only be collected and dropped int he main road. There are taxi guys that tax the Ubers if they stop at that road because its taxi territory. They get quite violent from our experience. Rooms are super tiny. Wish they had a bar/room service that opened later but this is not a deal breaker. No room service was offered. If there was an option, it was not indication that this was an option JHB is very dry. They should include bottle water in the room. Most 4star hotels offer this.

Room Size: the rooms are on the smaller side. 2. Noise: Due to its central location, theres some noise from the surrounding area. 3. Limited Dining Options: While the on-site restaurant is appreciated, the dining options could be more varied.

I loved the convenience and proximity to Mandela Square. The security of the hotel is also very good. Breakfast was super good. Next time if I visit Sandton, I will surely sleep at the same hotel.

May be improve on communication. You may consider ground lines if they will not compromise your security. Also on Laundry, make sure you should have it at the hotel so that customers are helped in good time. You may also consider talking with the taxi guys close to the hotel as they don't allow their colleagues to drop customers near the hotel, like those on Bolt. One day this may endanger your customers. Please mediate on these so that there is a good relationship with fellow taxi drivers

I arrived early and they had me in a room by 11:00 am. The rooms were small, but very clean and modern. Loved the rainfall shower and free wifi. I did not experience loadshedding while there.

That the main dining space shared an entrance to the garage, and you could smell the car fumes because the doors were left open. I skipped breakfast after day one because of this. Also, there was a feud going on with taxis adjacent to the hotel and Nelson Mandela Square and the taxes bullied Uber drivers and forced customers to meet the Uber driver away from the hotel up the street. That was very disturbing. I think the hotel should ask the City to do something about this. I am 72 and I didn't appreciate this. Today, the Uber driver parked on a main street and came for my luggage and pushed my bags up the street to his car to get me to the airport . I trailed along. Fortunately, I am in good health and could make that walk.

The location of the hotel and the receptionist were easy to approach and very nice especially the morning staffs. Also, i felt comfortable in the room and serene and clean atmosphere.To conclude, i felt like am home ,everyone was nice not excluding the staffs at the restaurant.Thumbs up to you Onomo, will recommend to anyone coming for a visit/vacation to book this very hotel.

The weather was very cozy that i was not comfortable to sleep. Wish there could be a warmer as there is an Air conditioner. Also, i starve a bit since i couldnt eat the dishes they have except breakfast which was provided for us as buffet . My suggestion is the restaurant to blend some Africans food at least if the person order it can be prepared for him/her. With this we can fully enjoy our stay. Thank you.

This was my third stay in this hotel. The quality has clearly improved compared to my first stay 5 years ago. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is ideally located just next to Nelson Mandela Square. The area is safe. The room is quite small for 2 people but large enough if you stay alone. My room was equipped with a new safe which this time worked and in which I could store my laptop. The LED strips have been replaced by a more functional lightning. The bathroom and the shower were great. A kettle was available. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk were restocked every day; but unfortunately now drinking water provided. Wifi was reliable.

TV was not working (no signal) but honestly I didn't need it. Some small improvements would be nice; for instance: A bottle of water at disposal to use with the kettle (tap water tastes really bad). A shower cap in the bathroom would be nice to have.

Really friendly staff, clean room, good wifi, nice buffet breakfast, right opposite an entrance to nelson Mandela square so brilliant location, easy check-in (got SOOOO many whatsapp messages & emails in the lead up to the stay about prepping for the stay/checking in remotely etc - it was a bit ott, and in person check in was fine)! Plug next to one side of the bed, hairdryer included, nice big sink/counter in bathroom, felt secure/safe in area n building

Shower pressure was really low, pillows weren't great, paid for a late checkout & put the do not disturb sign on but door was knocked 3 times to tell us to check out at the normal time - front desk/whoever knocks should communicate better!

It is a fantastic location with easy access to Sandton shops. Rooms were very comfortable and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Staff were always on hand to assist and approachable. Breakfast was OK but not fantastic. A short walk to the gautrain and the red bus pick up point.

Attempted to get laundry done and gave up after three days. Charged heavily for late checkout with no recognition of loyalty membership.
