Great friendly staff with a smile at check-in...nice. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the a late check-out at noon was welcome. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the rail and bus stations, so convenient if you are using public transport.

Our room on the first floor was next to or above a neighbouring gym. Generally this wasn't a problem...until a class got going and then the thumping music and amplified instructions from the trainer were quite intrusive. We were going to ask to change rooms, but after about 45 minutes it was quite again so we didn't bother.

Location was perfect for our needs.

Morning traffic Noise when window was open for fresh air when sleeping. Maybe better air on would help.

It is the second time we come to this hotel, we like that it is located in the city center, a stone's throw from the port and 5 minutes from Unions Square. The room was cleaned every day, nothing to complain about . Very kind staff, Many thanks 😊

The only thing I didn't like the first time and the second time is the kettle. I stayed in room 215 the last time, I had an old kettle, which also smells very bad (but it was my bad luck because my brother stayed in room 226 where he had a new kettle and in addition the window had a double, I can he says it was much warmer than in my room) I hope that the next visit I will be lucky to get a new kettle.

Location excellent, staff very friendly & helpful, cleaning staff were superb. Room was fine, great bathroom, memory foam mattress got too hot at night for a good sleep. Soundproofing is an issue: virtually non-existent between the room door & hallway, & street noise & traffic was very audible from the window side. The TV in the room was rubbish: small (22 inch screen),fixed in place so you can’t use USB ports & no access to Netflix or other streaming services. Fairly basic furnishings & quite dated & worn. But with those caveats, the location & price made it good value for a couple of nights stay; if staying longer, there are better options. Overall, it did the job, just about…but bring good earplugs!!

The poor soundproofing between the door & hallway & between the window & street below. The TV: rubbish. Get new bigger ones with smart TV capabilities. The bed mattress: gets too hot, disrupted sleep - memory foam ones need a cooling layer.

It's a classic Ibis hotel, but the rooms on upper floors have a nice view. There is also a large car park attached. The toiletries were nice, I liked the scent. If any hotel staff are reading this, I would actually like to know the brand of hand wash you use as it was excellent. The receptionist was very helpful when I checked in. I needed a toothbrush and a banana for some electrolytes – he engaged the problem and pointed us to some stores that could have these items. There is a 24/7 menu.

The reception did not sell toothbrush kits and the bed was quite hard. There was some darkening around the mirror edges in the bathroom – it could use a little bleach if it's what I think it is. All in all, not too bad.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Ibis Aberdeen. The location could not be any closer to the centre and our needs. For instance we attended a show at the theatre which is only 2 minutes away on foot. I like the simplicity of the hotel. It is very practical and functional. It has everything you could wish for a short stay. I really appreciated the friendliness of two members of staff: Miguel and Indre.

The breakfast could definitely be improved. Not so much in terms of quantity but in terms of quality. E.g. the coffee isn't great. Also the food offered didn't look very fresh. When we first arrived there were few members of staff who seemed not interest on greeting us and checking us in.

accommodation was exactly as described and would stay again

car park next door seemed to be good until i tried to exit the car park the following morning. Extremely difficult in trying to get my car out of the car park with the large yellow bumpers. On one hand this may because the car i had was quite large so made trying to manoeuvre around the corners tight.( parking sensor was full red at front left while wheels on right side were hitting the yellow bumpers. Due to the larger car, only the tyres were making contact with the bumpers, whereas if this was my smaller car this would have damaged the alloy wheels.

Very clean, central, comfortable beds and tasty breakfast.

I have stayed at this Ibis many times and always enjoy being there, but on this occasion we had a very long wait to check in. Had already checked in online yet it took from 4pm to 4.25 standing queuing at the desk to get our key. The member of staff was, as always, very pleasant and helpful but he really needed another person to help him, no point asking us to check in online for a quicker check in and then have us standing in a queue (two separate check ins in front of us, plus one customer being served and two people queuing behind us).

Located few minutes walking from train station. Big and warm room, big and modern bathroom. Tee and coffee available in the room. Comfortable bed, we slept well. Good price for Scotland. We also enjoyed late checkout at 12 am. We enjoyed everything except check in.

Check in: I received more emails the days before my journey, one of those asking to check in online. So we did. Having no idea what to do after the check in online, once arrived at ibis we queued at the desk and we were asked to show a credit-debit card. (as informed at the end of one of the many mails). The lady at the desk took my card to write down the details somewhere. I don't like this and retain it is not correct. If you need to check my card is "real" you test a fake transaction, like 1 cent, as done for example when you rent a car. I paid via booking one month ago, what do you need to check?!? This is not serious. I don't want my credit card details to be around. Then: why should I check in online if still I have to stop at the front desk?

Breakfast was very good. I would have liked a little more fresh food...the cut tomato and cucumber were delicious. I really liked the obvious layout, no hassle, having to ask staff to help me, at all. ....but they were nearby, if needed. Alexander was especially helpful to me, he sorted me a ferry- view room ( at short notice, at my request), which made my visit special; fascinating to watch the supply boats come and go, and get a good spin on Aberdeen! Kudos to Alexander....take note, IBIS !

Noisy fan/ air con /air vent in the bathroom, but I just shut the bathroom door tight. Might be worth looking at though, if someone has the career desires in mind?
