Only stayed the one night, but was very surprised by the ambiance and hospitality. The staff were great, the food was excellent, the room was clean and tidy with great sea views. The location of the Hotel was good and its choice of beers wine and spirits would suit anyone. The breakfast was generous and tasty. All in all a lovely hotel one of the best I have stayed in, and believe me I have stayed in very many over the years.

What was there not to like, room was a little pricey, but then I did have a double room with sea view as a single occupant, so I guess it was an average price.

What a fabulous surprise, far better than expectations.. My room was spotlessly clean, as was the shower room, and all furniture and fittings looked recent as was the carpet. Bed really comfy and room was nice and warm on a less than pleasant evening in late Dec. Heating easily adjusted. Slept well and the rest of the hotel were respectfully quiet. Breakfast served in the downstairs restaurant had ample choices and was lovely. All staff were very attentive and keen to look after all guests. Walked out the front door to be greeted with a bright sunny day as I stepped onto the promenade with my car parked just opposite the front door. What's not to like. Thank you, we will be back..

Clean, comfortable, with exceptional views. The food is excellent- especially the breakfasts- and the staff is so very friendly and accommodating. This is my second visit to The Glengower and it hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Nothing! And I’m very choosy. My only complaint would be that I tried to book this property way back in August for my November visit, but the site indicated that there were no vacancies. When I physically arrived, however, I stopped in to double-check on the off chance and there were, in fact, a few rooms available. Perhaps earlier bookings had been canceled freeing up rooms? Either way, having travelled all the way from Canada, it would have been better to have booked rooms before I left.

the staff were very welcoming and friendly and so polite the bar area was fantastic amazing decor and friendly staff breakfast was spot on could not fault it coffee fresh in the pot and then press orange juice was amazing so fresh ( must say the sausage was stunning) really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again highly recommend as myself I suffer with limited mobility and the staff recommended I use the stairs next to the bar as the were hand rails for support and less steep then the other access also offered to help with luggage 5* service all round

The Glengower is a little jewel in Aber’s crown! Location is perfect and it is so warm and cosy. The rooms are spotless with fabulous sea views which made mum mums weekend. The staff cannot do enough for you and are so friendly and welcoming. We booked for dinner and the food did not disappoint - very good value for money and most of all - delicious! Breakfast had plenty of choice too. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this establishment - topped off with a real fire to welcome you as you come inside - what’s not to like!

The hotel itself is very charming and the location is great. The room and bath were very clean, spacious and very comfortable. The view from the bay window with two chairs and a table was so nice. The window opened to let in the fresh sea air. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was great with a wide variety to choose from. Dinner was also very good, again made more enjoyable by the friendly staff. The pub and outdoor seating was excellent for sunset watching. I would definitely stay here again.

I do not have asigle complaint about the hotel.

The perfect sea front b&b and I’m fussy but as soon as we walked through the door the place just oozed character and charm. Staff attentive and we were checked in promptly and without issue. We would have eaten in the restaurant but sadly we didn’t make it back in time. The bathroom was absolutely immaculate and I have very high standards but this exceeded them on every heading. Stop the search and if you’re reading this review take my word for it book this place and you won’t regret it.

There is nothing that I didn’t like, it was as close to perfect as could be

The Glengower is a lovely old pub that has been tasteful renovated. The only downfall for us was navigating 3 flights of steep stairs - don’t come with a large suitcase! The staff were friendly, informative and welcoming. The evening meal was exceptional. Very well presented and delicious - a step above any of the other meals we have had on this trip. Although the weather wasn’t conducive to a beach stay, the rooms overlooking the seaside and a short walk into the main town were both lovely. Although not in full swing at the moment the town certainly looks like it caters for the summer holiday crowd and I imagine it would get very crowded in summer. Staying at the Glengower, which is a 5-10 minute walk out of the centre, would be a great choice in the busy months for that reason. There is a lot of interesting history associated in and near the town and worth checking out. We would certainly stay there again (but maybe ask for a room on the first floor to avoid a few trips up the stairs!)

The breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked but not as extensive as many. They don’t offer hot chocolate as a drink option.

The best thing about the Glengower was the lovely, friendly staff - they really did make our stay, from the warm welcome from Emily to one of the waitresses drawing our attention to the starling murmuration just beginning outside. The room was lovely and bright and comfortable with nice understated decor that suited the period of the property, and the sea view all we could have wished for. The food was excellent, so much so that we nearly ate in both nights but then decided to have an Indian one night as we don't have one at home. I loved the gin menu.

A couple of additional shelves and hooks in the bathroom would be good, especially for two people (though I appreciated the hook on the door of the room, which is not common these days but so useful for wet coats). Although all the food was nice, some of it wasn't piping hot, notably the mushy peas with my fish and chips and the muffin with my eggs benedict. I would have liked a desk lamp.

The breakfast every morning was excellent. Lots of variety and the staff in the restaurant were very good,always smiling which makes a great difference. Also we ate in the restaurant inthe evening. The food was very very good and the presentation was brilliant. The staff in the bar were very knowledgeable and very helpful too. The room was large and comfortable and the view over Cardigan Bay was amazing. Unfortunately we did not see any dolphins. All in all a very relaxing break and we would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone
