Helpful and friendly staff, clean room, good sized telly, bed was firm but comfortable, decent ale and regulars in the bar, good parking, great location and short walk to shops and cafe

Nicely designed and really beautiful at Xmas/new year. 2nd time stayed here and will continue to, when I'm in the area. Very local to everything around the area. M56 etc. The most important thing is the staff we're super friendly and helpful, especially when i booked that day to arrive in found the room to far and changed it no problem. Having a Hidden disability/mobility. The 2nd visit. When I visited in 2018 I didn't have any real health issues. So its nice seeing both sides of being treated with compassion. The hotel/pub is actually responsible cheap and great value food,drinks,accommodation and free parking especially on the high Street of Alderley Edge. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone who wants to be based in a quite area but within good distance to different locations. Mostly via car but the train station is 5mins from there and I saw a bus stop right by it.

I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with my time there for 2days or the time before. They have everything thought out really well. I can't wait to return again in the future

We have stayed here a number of times and are always made very welcome. It's very reasonably priced and ideal for the area. All the staff are excellent, special mention to Lady H ( Helen) and Freya who always look after us very well. The food is very good as well, plenry of options for breakfast,the Sunday Roast was amazing and the whole menu is great value. We look forward to visiting again soon in 2025

It wasn't really a problem for us, but you could say that the bedrooms could do with a little updating. It could also do with some plugs by the beds for phone charging etc.

The fact that the hotel had a lift as not all do. I didn’t have the breakfast included in the price as I don’t eat breakfast. I asked the manager or owner could I just pay for my orange juice and coffee when I was finished he said yes that was fine. Went to pay and the man said no. So thank you for that it was extremely kind of him.

Ok as I’m disabled there was only two issue the room I had it had a bath with a shower in the bath. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to shower as I’ve mobility problems. The other one was the heated towel rack was to close to the toilet and I burnt my leg twice. Besides those issues everything else was fantastic

Breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was a decent size and clean. We were visiting friends and the location of the hotel was ideal for us.

The problem with having a room with a step up to the bathroom is that despite the warning signs it is always going to catch you out at sometime, especially as pensioners. My husband while visiting the bathroom during the night, forgot about the step and fell out of the bathroom. He fell heavily and cut his back and bruised his elbow. Also there was no handrail on the wall for holding on to to get out of the shower. It would help, especially for older guests

Close to visiting family in the area for the weekend . Large carpark but remember to book in on arrival and the stay can be extended without having to put details in every time . Good choice at breakfast . Meals freshly cooked Despite being on the main road we did not have any problems with background traffic noise . Good value for money

Our first night was in a room which was tired and badly repaired in places . Following a chat with Emma we were moved to another room which was far superior. Emma did acknowledge some rooms needed some tlc … which she was looking into .

Quiet and comfortable Hotel in the village of Alderley Edge. Excellent on-site parking - free of charge but don't forget to register your car at the Reception desk. Evening meal was of excellent quality and service. Breakfast was even better! Veyr well cooked, presented and served. The log fires in the bar and restaurant were inviting and cosy on a cold night; the bar is popular with locals, who were very friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean with all the facilities you need for a few nights stay.

The hotel was in a convenient location for me, the room was comfortable and the perfect size for what I needed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, all the amenities I needed were provided. I also ate at the restaurant downstairs on my first night as part of a larger group and the food was delicious and well priced, the staff were very accommodating and friendly :)

Nothing really - the walls were fairly thin so I was woken up around 3am one of the nights due to other guests coming back late and noisily, but this was no fault of the hotel.

The staff make this place! Friendly, efficient and courteous from start to finish! The car park is SO useful if you're spending the day/night with them as Lucy (Star of Reception) allowed us to check-in 2-3hrs before the official 4pm. Result! And you step straight onto the High Street for shops/cafés/high-end charity shops. We've dined here before and the food is 'above average' for Brit pub grub. Breakfast had a couple of decent alternatives from the standard 'full' and if they could just find a way making toast for the guests, I'd give them a '9'.

A lot of reviews mention the rooms looking a little tired but they are clean and the bathroom essentials 'work'. There is a lingering scent of 'plug-ins' in the corridors/rooms but I slowly got used to it..and that's why I mention it..the staff are probably very used to it and are nose blind. Bleugh!

The staff are wonderfully welcoming, friendly and professional. The food for the evening was innovative well presented and tasty. Breakfast was again very well presented and tasty. The bed was comfortable, but it would’ve been nice to have a choice of pillows. The bathroom was small but worked fine. !

There was nothing not to like just a few things that could do with refinement such as a choice of pillows. The bathroom could do with being a bit bigger.
