Staff very friendly. We choose to stay for location when visiting family.

Noisy guests; understandable as you host weddings, however, perhaps more could be done to avoid non wedding guests being near lots of wedding guests, who shout along the corridors until we'll after midnight. Sound proofing improvements another option. Room decor dated & tired. Parking; In front of annexe, not enough disability parking, seemed to be taken by non disabled guests &/or staff.

The hotel is in a great location which is really pretty and the rooms are spacious, the breakfast was lovely, really good quality produce and wide choice of fresh cooked foods. The restaurant served a brilliant range of starters, mains and desserts, the food was always piping hot and portions were really generous the quality of product used was of a very high standard. I had a treatment in the Spa onsite and it was of very relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel staff were also really helpful and pleasant to chat too.

Lighting in room for working on laptop, only a table lamp and two bedside lights giving off very little light. Air conditioning would have been good, as didn't want to open the windows at night due to being on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. That wouldn't deter me from booking another stay here in the future.

Was near to where we needed to be, the room was average, bed comfy, bathroom nice, nice carpeting and clean

The price, the breakfast was not as expected, the pot of tea was.luke warm, couldn't get colour to it, disappointed with scrambled egg on toast was cold, egg looked like it had been stood, such a shame, my husbands full English was ok was warm, toast if you wanted it set the smoke off in the toaster, was a long walk into the room from entering the building, shame it was so expensive

Amazing wedding venue. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Great shower. Superb gym and spa on site. Great breakfast.

No air con in the function room. Breakfast was good but when croissants had run out, no more were brought out. For those paying £20+ for breakfast, this is unacceptable. Check-in and checkout was slow and disorganised. £20 to use spa each day was a bit steep. Would have been nice to have weekend access option and a reduced rate.

Hotel was lovely, and the staff were fantastic and friendly. Room was nice and comfortable.

Although booking.com include this hotel in a search with a pool, if you book through booking.com, you ONLY get the room..... no pool access and no breakfast. Booking direct gets breakfast and pool access for £5 more! Book direct, hotel was great.

Hotel was lovely & quiet, easy access to main roads, comfortable beds, & food in pub restaurant next door to the hotel was excellent, expecially the Sunday roast! Breakfast was tasty, & they supplied gluten free bread on request. Nice to have access to the Leisure centre facilities.

The en-suite had quite a small shower cubicle, a bigger one could easily have been accommodated. There were odd bits of stray confetti in the corridors & dining room, obviously from a very recent wedding. I thought the £20 charge for the Leisure facilities use Thurs -Sunday was a bit steep, although I used it Mon morning (when it was 15 mins late opening and steam room wasn't operative) and Tues morning which was free.

It was clean, well equipped and warm the food was excellent and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. I would certainly highly recommend this venue to anyone for any event.

Everything, we went with an open mind to enjoy a well earned weekend and it was exactly what we got.

No room service because of covid'? I had stayed in 4 other hotels in the past 2 weeks, which all had room service. Attitude of reception lady with purple hair was poor when I came to find out about as she didn't tell me when I arrived. She said i could use the bar ( I travel alone for business and never do this). I hadn't stayed before and wasn't told anything about where things were. I would of happily paid to use gym but wasn't offered it. So it left my feeling flat and I was staying for 2 days. I drove to Tesco for food. The best moment was when I left and lovely lady cleaning the floor said Good morning with a nice cheery smile.

Room was fine

Fabulous venue for the YFC event we attended with excellent silver service dinner. Hot, plentiful and excellent service.

We were not allowed to purchase just side orders in the bar with our drinks both times. First order was no problem, second order we were told no. we had travelled and required a snack before the event in the function suite. This was disappointing and didn’t meet our needs and was the only issue all weekend.

Looked a lovely hotel We didn’t manage to use the facility their full potential as this was an over night stay for us to head out to a concert locally Staff on reception and in bar area and main restaurant very friendly

Unfortunately we only had one set of towels and didn’t realise until hubby was in the shower so a bit late to request extras Bed was comfortable but only a small double …. The room could have taken a larger bed Also worried a little about security being in the annex which was all ground floor and although the main doors were secure …… all windows along the corridor were left open and easily accessible Breakfast was ok - nicely cooked. Limited choice
