Really great stay at this hotel. Very clean, nicely presented place and great atmosphere. We had a meal on the Friday evening for 8 of us and the service was first class. Food itself was very enjoyable and cooked well. Saturday evening threre was a live band on and the place was packed. Beer is also good by the way :-) Will be staying here again when we visit Barton upon Humber - thank you Vicky and staff ps: There was'nt provision for breakfast but no big deal - would be good to incolude this going forward though

Loved the breakfast box service and if I wanted something more substantial then the Post Office cafe offered a good breakfast menu. very good menu in the evenings with friendly customer service.- oh yes and they play a good selection on the music system- Sunday lunches are highly recommended.

There was nothing during my stay that I could complain about.

Quality of our steaks was questionable and the room had slight steps, making it a potential concern for the visually inpaired; my father is blind and would have not expected the positioning of some steps. I'd hope there are better/flatter rooms if he were to stay? Apart from these points, our stay was amazing, thank you very much. We loved the idea that the pub is owned by the people!

Breakfast was a bit rough and ready, but we survived! The location was handy for exploring the area: less than three miles to the centre of Barton-on-Humber and the motorway network.

Similar establishments offer a more impressive breakfast choice. South Ferriby itself is of little interest, so you'd need access to a car to explore the area.

Nelthorpe is a place my colleagues and I have had the pleasure of doing a job near that has required us to search for accomodation around Saxilby. The dinners and pub atmosphere keeps us coming back! The rooms are all very modern and, though basic, are faultless and definitely worth more than you'd think you'd get for the price!

Located in a small village. Nice surroundings very rural.

Bed squeaked every time you moved, loud enough to wake me throughout the night. Beds metal framed, would be better as divans. No taxi service comes to the village. So if going out be careful of the lovely libations, and like us make the most of them when you return.

The rooms in this village inn are recently refurbished to a good standard. Very fair rate, breakfast option was provided as a choice for delivery the evening before which worked well for me. The landlord also has a microbrewery and serves his own beer. Food was hearty and good. It was Burn's Night so there was a piper for the folk who had bought tickets.

My room was really hot - I turned down the room radiator but I couldn't shut down the bathroom rad. It was only one night so I didn't mention. Everything else was very good.

Room very clean and bed comfortable. Quiet location in small village. Staff friendly. Note: cooked breakfast is not provided on site although a continental style breakfast can be ordered and left outside your door. The local post office/grocery store however do sell a good cooked breakfast to eat in or take away, only a short walk away. Would recommend.

Room very warm during recent hot weather, no fan provided. No hairdryer in room. Ceiling spot lighting was very bright, no bedside lamps or subdued lighting provided. We booked for 2 nights, approximately 9.30am on the first morning the cleaner unlocked and opened our door, we were still in bed. She apologised when she realised.

Lovely Pub/Hotel in a quiet village. Rooms were very comfortable, clean with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The food in the restaurant was delicious and great value. The singing landlord was really nice and friendly and would sing to almost every song playing in the background which was good fun and made us giggle. The price for the rooms was great value for money, you wont get a hot cooked breakfast. We knew this before we booked so it was not an issue for us. The pub itself is lovely and the locals were nice and friendly too.

Not a lot it was lovely, If I had to say what I didn't like it would be that there isn't a lot to do around the pub/hotel as its a small pretty village.

No Breakfast option for a Coeliac. Continental Breakfast available. Cafe at a location nearby Mon-Sat I believe if you prefer a cooked option. Aware when booking, so not a problem as brought something with me
