Amazing atmosphere, food was amazing and cheap for what you got especially kids meals amazing portions. Christmas bedding on for kids in family room was a lovley idea. Staff we lovley to the kids and us made our experience here amazing. Such a cosy place and very christmassy ❤️

Its not a dislike just a personal preference, maybe a little background music in the bar/restaurant, when we first arrive it was quite quiet and with our 3 children any noise they made sounded loud lol so i do think some background noise would be good. Once other families came though it was fine x

Was very surprised at the hotel very nice looking well looked after. On entering the hotel I was early the staff were very helpful my room was ready 10 minutes after my early arrival nothing was too much trouble very helpful and happy staff. The rooms are clean and modern and same with the bathrooms very pleasant. Had evening meal the food is of a very high standard. Again the staff are very helpful and happy service was 10/10. Highly recommended hotel.

The only fault was the view from my hotel window at the back not the best but not the worst 🤣🤣🤣

Quite interesting property, decent size room, opened with a card, clean bathroom with all it was needed, bar with very nice staff, considerable size car park. Place resemble a bit of a hotel rather than just a B&B. Although I may not be experienced enough. Arrived quite late and was admitted without impression it was something not appropriate.

It is hard to say, breakfast could be served with a bit of a variety instead of Full English every day, but really it was not all that bad. Black pudding was very nice so no prob's.

The room was exceptionally clean, staff went above and beyond to ensure we could check in early prior to a wedding we were attending which took the stress out of it all. We didn't stay for breakfast but that was our choice but it was a bonus it was also included.

We had a ground floor room, my only feedback would be the blind on the door needs to be blackout/ out a curtain over the door as the room was light from around 5am. This wouldn't put me off staying again though.

Newly built / refurbished. Room clean and fully equiped. A very good evening meal in the bar downstairs and same for breakfast. Staff very friendly. Room was at the back so no road noise.

Breakfast started at 7.30am. I could have done with it a bit earlier as I was staying for work. They offer a packed breakfast for those needing to leave earlier and several were in the fridge ready, so others may have the same issue. The view from my room was of a builders yard with 12 shipping containers. Not a problem for me as I arrived late and left early - but check with the hotel if you enjoy looking out of the bedroom window for long periods while on holiday.

Nice breakfast, really friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds with lovely sheets. The hotel isn't set in beautiful surroundings but is a great place from which to explore the area or for a particularly nice overnight stop on a long journey. The staff deserve a special mention for their kindness and thoughtfulness especially with my husband who has Alzheimers.

Disappointed not to be able to order a meal after 7.50pm.

Did masons gin distillery tour and stopped at reubens where Everything was no trouble to the staff . We put all food and drinks on a tab for two nights with two full evening meals n several drinks and under £100 . Great value. We will be back again for a cocktail mixing trip at masons again with Reubens top of list to stop at. Well done. Photos of food included and breakfasts are great.

No issues.

The staff were lovely, the choice of gin was impressive, the food menu in the pub was good. Breakfast was hot and served quickly. Large free car park.

Our room was very small with barely any space to get round the bed. Bed was very soft with a strange bit that stuck out (think it was the handles on the side of the mattress). No bedside cabinet on one side of the bed but we used the chair as we had to move it out the way to enable us to find space to put the case. No fridge or safe in the room, could hear TV in room next door which was annoying,

the staff here are so friendly, this is an excellent place to stay. breakfast is great and although I haven’t tried it yet, there is a full menu of options for evening dining in the bar. the whole place is immaculately presented, it’s clean and pristine, the upkeep and cleaning that goes into it really pays off, it’s a nice feeling as you walk in the door. the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are immaculate. both the rooms and bathrooms are modern and sleekly decorated. the power shower is great and with hot water on demand, great if you have been on the road travelling. the property feels very safe, comfortable and you are well looked after by staff, great for solo or accompanied travellers. there is railway attraction in the immediate location and other attractions nearby, I haven’t had a chance to experience these but have been informed the Reubens is situated in a good location to explore the many options on offer. there is a large shop in close walking distance with a good selection. this is a great stopping point from the south to north, or vice versa and I would highly recommend it and it is great value for money.

this time I stayed at a room at the front of the hotel above the bar which is a bit noisy until around 11pm as patrons were using the front door and chatting outside. it’s a shame as I paid extra for a larger bed this time but got less rest/sleep. the room was also bright in the morning so would benefit from a curtain in addition to the blinds. the bedroom doors have quite a bang when people are coming and going, could do with a soft close addition. will bring ear plugs next time.

This was our first time staying at The Reubens and we would recommend it to all. The most impressive thing was the staff who were absolutely fantastic and very friendly. Very comfortable and tidy rooms and good evening meals and breakfast. Great location to explore North Yorkshire.

Neither of our rooms had a wardrobe which would be fine for a short stay but we had a 6 night stay so had extra clothes. The're was a clothes storage shelf with hangers but only 2 of them.
