Did not have a breakfast, but evening meal was good. Staff are friendly, have a laugh and will do anything they can to help. If you are looking for a budget price and Hilton environment then don't book it as you might be dissapointed. The rooms and sheets are clean, the showers are hot and the heating works. This is salt-of -the-earth Birmingham, and you will meet people that will give you all they have on offer including respect. Respect them back and you have made a friend for life. That's Aston.

Beer is plentiful, however a bit weak and boring if you don't drink lager.

The location of this place is brilliant. We came to see the Aston Villa match, and the hotel is just a short walk away from Villa Park. They also served breakfast in the bar, which was good value for money and very handy since there are not too many places nearby to dine. Bar has a great vibe for any Aston Villa supporter, and we'd definitely pick this place again if coming to the match.

The rooms are very basic, but clean. I wish there were more pillows (we had only one per person and very flat). Also, it would be great to have a kettle in the room. We also didn't have wifi, so we couldn't log in to Netflix in the evening and watch a movie with our kid since bar was too busy and crowded after the match to hang around with under 18.

I don't know why other reviews have slated the mattresses. It felt like sleeping in a big fluffy cloud. I had a wonderful sleep. In fact, I was so comfy I didn't go and get any dinner. Nice and quiet, felt very private. The room was really, very clean, felt, and smelled like a new carpet. If not, then a very well maintained one. The bathroom floor was a tad hairy, but the cleanliness everywhere else made up for it. Staff were friendly and allowed me to check out by leaving my keys as I needed to leave at 7 am. Best possible location for Villa Park and aston Station. As a lone female, i felt very safe, which is important to me when travelling alone. Will definitely be staying again.

The only downside is no kettle or glass for water, which I read before I came so stocked up on redbull because I had a 6am start, so I couldn't get one from the bar. WiFi would have been a nice touch to take full advantage of the smart tv.

One of the few locations at the time that actually has onsite parking which was one of the main reason I booked. Also close to Villa Park, 5 minute walk and my main reason for staying was going to the game so that was perfect. As a Villa fan it's great to have a location so close by. Witton and Ason stations are close by and only cost £3 to get into New Street station which you will want to because aside from Villa Park there is nothing else nearby to do

Standard room nothing that goes above and beyond any other, my only real complaint was and this is probably room specific (I was in room 6) for a good deal of the evening there is a loud drone outside from perhaps the air con unit, maybe something else, not sure what it is but it does stop later in the evening when it's turned off. An early night if you wanted one would be difficult unless you can sleep through such noise. One small addition to the room could be a microwave perhaps, that could be requested upon booking. I get that there may be a concern about messy guests, but there is a holding deposit left and not all of us are filthy animals.

Breakfast was lovely and a reasonable price. The staff here are always lovely. They are so friendly. I like that you can get free tea and coffee if you have a room. Parking is free as long as you don’t stay on a match day.

There are no towel rails in the bathroom . There isn’t a toilet roll holder either. The pillows are too flat and uncomfortable. We were in room 6 and the noise of the generator kept me awake most of the night. Very basic but clean. I have stayed here several times and would definitely stay again but not in room 6.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They allowed me to leave my car in the car park free of charge, and I could buy late check out. Clean room, nice hot shower. We were given fresh towels, toiletries and extra pillows when asked. Heating worked well so we were snug. Good location for driving to and from.

The beds were very lumpy. Quite noisy at night and a few people hanging around the back smoking where you enter at night so but there were security cameras.

Location if you are going to Villa park is excellent. Also for an extra £8 you can park your car there. Also pretty close to Aston train station, easy to hop on a train and go to the city centre. Decent sized bar area and the beer is pretty cheap when you are used to London prices

They weren't serving breakfast because of the football which was a shame. I got woken up at 3am by a humming noise which was either the heating or air con system and couldn't understand why it suddenly came on on its own and it stayed on for a while before randomly stopping.

As it was only a 15 min walk to Villa Park, this hotel was perfect. Amazing staff that made us feel very welcome from the start. Food and the bar prices were very reasonable, and there was a nice snooker and pool table available to use. If there is a game on Friday or Saturday, the place is buzzing in the evening. The villa fans were great, and as West Ham fans, we had a great time.

There wasn't really anything that I could say was bad.

We had a fantastic stay. very last minute as we were let down by another accommodation through bookings.com who double booked our original venue. Joanne and her team were very welcoming the room was exactly what we needed. Very informative, safe relaxing and very friendly atmosphere. Food and drink right at the door step. Again spot on cannot recommend the place and staff enough

Uber taxis were expensive but we were pre warned not the venues fault

I brought my son over to his 1st Villa match and I couldn't have picked a better place. Stayed 2 nights. Staff were accommodating from the minute we arrived, by taking our luggage early so could do VP Tour. Had evening meal which was really good. Room was spotless and warm, comfortable beds. Breakfast on both mornings was excellent. Staff are so friendly and owners are very hands on which is always lovely to see. Couldn't recommend it higher.
