Everything! Convenient location. Very modern and clean. Bar and restaurant also convenient and great! Staff are amazing, polite and friendly.

Nothing. May sound contradictory but there was one incident that made me mark down on staff. My partner asked if we could buy drink from the bar and take it to the room. The evening receptionist responded “yes please”. My partner thought that was strange and mentioned it to me but we ignored it. Anyway went to bar I carried the drinks and on the way to the lift, the receptionist said she thought the drink was for her. While she was working??? Also we felt this was inappropriate. But that was 1 person. Everyone else was very professional and friendly.

i left my expensive face wash at the hotel, called back the next day expecting to be told it was found and thrown out or it was found and left for me at the reception- called reception back and i was told housekeeping didn't find it but i'm sure i left it there it was only about 5-6 hrs after i checked out i realised it was missing. so either housekeeping didn't clean the bathroom and didn't see it which i'm hoping is not the case or house keeping threw it out. either ways not happy i couldn't have it back

The hotel was very centrally located for our needs. Our room and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff here were wonderful... we were attending a funeral and they couldn't do enough for us. We arrived to meet family at around 10am in the morning and although breakfast had officially finished, they kept the restaurant open for us and didn't clear anything away until after 11am when we had finished. We also had a young child in our family part y and they made separate food and snacks for him - absolutely nothing was too much trouble! ALL the restaurant / bar staff were BRILLIANT!

Very close to center, staff were always pleasant during interactions. Although parking isn't free its relatively cheap in comparison with plenty of spaces. Clean & spacious. Little shop type area with drinks, snacks, pot noodles, manicure set and condoms etc all reasonably priced again in comparison to other places. Also there is a bar open until 11pm. £50 for a night so all in all I'm happy with my stay

The coffee in the room is pretty bad, my coffee loving partner couldn't even get 3 mouthfuls down for chucking it down the sink. But we always carry spares so wasn't too much of an issue

When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Sam who looked after us the whole weekend anything we asked her she was more than happy to help (teabags 🙈). Joel at the bar was also great!! Very attentive and again nothing was too much trouble. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was so good, great selection and you could eat as much as you liked. Everything was freshly cooked and well-stocked!!! The girl who was working in the morning had the place spotless. (sorry I didn't get her name). We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room had a few scuff marks on the bathroom door. I would recommend fitting a USB-C connection on the wall as we had forgotten our iPhone plug but reception were able to charge our phones until we bought a plug. I had read in previous reviews when I was looking at this hotel that the lift was broken and it was still broken during our stay. We didn't mind but it would be tough if you were on a higher floor and had heavy suitcases. We were on level 3.

I was greeted by Sam who had the biggest smile and was an absolute gem. The hotel room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. We were on the second floor and had a view over the canal. The hotel is located near the university campuses which makes it a safe area to walk even at night. It’s a 10-15min walk into the centre of Birmingham.

It is located next to a road which gets quite busy in the early hours and during the day. You can’t hear anything at all if you keep your windows closed. We had our windows open at night and it was very quiet, we just closed them in the morning when the cars started coming. There is no AC in the rooms.

Communication prior to the stay, we enquired via email regarding early check in and we're told tp call back a few days before, which I did, I was then told to call the evening before, which, again, I did. Then I was told there was no way of them knowing until the morning of our stay. I feel this should have been relayed to us at the initial contact as I booked the room as it stated early check in available. Thankfully, it was sorted but not without a lot of stress prior to my daughters graduation on the evening of our stay.

The aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful, the hotel was very clean, the staff were extremely helpful polite and smartly dressed. The bed was very comfortable, the room was also clean and the toilet and bathroom were too. Our stay here was comfortable. There's also free parking which was a bonus for us. Our room had the view of the lock which was pleasant to see especially when the sun was shining. I can imagine the view in the summer time. Location is ok as its on the edge of Aston Close to the City Centre, Newton and Nechells. Bus routes are in walking distance too.

The pillows were to soft for me!! I wouldn't say this hotel is a romantic place to stay (not in my opinion) however someone else may think it is.

Fantastic value for money. Coffee machines in bar area you can help yourself to. Chilled vibes Snack station where you can buy crisps, chocolate, sandwiches etc 24 hours also available to buy were essentials such as Toothbrushes, Sanitary products etc Not far from town centre (taxi ordered by reception) Basic room but with everything you need. Onsite free parking

There were some long black hairs in the base of the shower and on the bedding which I think would be from the cleaning staff as hubby and I are blonde. We didn't complain but something we didn't like...we were literally there to sleep only so we got on with it.

The rooms were very hot despite the radiator being switched off. There’s no air conditioning so you can open the window, but due to location is a bit noisy. Worth offering a fan in the room to help keep people cool. Lift out of order, signs say temporarily but from previous comments it seems this has been going on a while. Being on first floor wasn’t too bad though. Walls are very thin, woken in the night by other guests on floor above…
