Everything about the property is beautiful. It has a real homely feel and the decor is delightful. St Leonards Farmhouse is ideally situated and only a few minutes walk from Blandford Forum town. The owners, Tanya and John are the best hosts you could ask for. They are wonderful people and nothing is too much bother for them. We felt like part of a family and didnât want to leave. We will return though and canât wait. The bedroom was so comfortable and a very good size. The bed itself gave a wonderful nights sleep. The bathroom was gorgeous with a proper bath on legs and a rainfall shower that was perfect. Breakfast was perhaps the best breakfast weâve had anywhere. John cooks it all fresh. My wife opted for salmon and scrambled eggs whereas I had to have the full English every morning. The bacon was from the local butchers and was some of the best I have ever eaten, along with the sausage. I woke up every morning craving the breakfast, it was so good. If youâre staying in the Blandford area, please donât hesitate to stay here. Itâs by far the best there is. Thank you Tanya and John for the best experience. Canât wait to return.

What's not to like?! Probably one of the nicest places I've stayed! From start to finish, everything was perfect! Amazing hosts Tania and Jon could not have been more welcoming and eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The whole house was beautiful with such attention to detail in every room and the garden. The bedroom was gorgeous (twin room), very homely with everything you could need, very comfy beds, kettle, hairdryer, heater, fans (which were needed) and a fabulous shower and even bath robes and nice big bath towels! The breakfasts were 100% the best I've had in a hotel, I tried the full english and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, both cooked to perfection đ Thank you so much for looking after us so well, I can't recommend this place enough! Stay there! It will be the best decision you make!! đ

The room was small but well-equipped. Breakfast was excellent. The host, Tania, went out of her way to facilitate a slightly-earlier check-in which was appreciated. There was even a well-behaved squirrel in the room, adding to the rustic ambience, although it was somewhat larger than the real thing and carried a shopping bag... whilst the name suggests a rural location, it's actually at the far end of Blandford's main street so the shopping bag made sense.
Nothing at all, and I'd be very happy to stay there again.

Beautiful property, well placed on quiet main road so easily accessible and within walking distance to town, shops, and numerous eateries. Tania and Jin were the perfect hosts. The room was immaculate, well presented, comfy bed and pillows, great en-suite and could not fault the cleanliness. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice for everyone. Parking available, on site, electric car chargers within minutes drive. A must to boom if you are in the area.
Loved everything!

I drove to St Leonards straight from the airport where, unfortunately, someone had smashed my car window, and it being the weekend I couldnt get it fixed. But the owners of St Leonards were so helpful, they taped the window up so i could drive the next morning. So kind and thoughtful of them. St Leonards is a gorgeous place to stay. The room and bathroom were spotless. Everything is modern, and there was so much attention to detail. Breakfast was fantastic too! Recommend highly.

Excellent breakfast, including very good provision for a vegan. Friendly hosts. Very clean and well looked after. Good location, an easy distance from the centre of town, river walks etc.
No natural light in the bathroom. The TV was quite a long way from head of the bed, but it was difficult to manoeuvre the heavy chair into a nearer position for watching, and then it restricted access at the side if the bed.

Jon and Tania are great hosts who make you feel so welcome and that nothing is too much trouble, my room was superb , immaculately clean, comfy bed, great shower and a well lit bathroom. Breakfast was fabulous, plenty of it, well cooked and served with a bit of style. I will definitely book again.
If I was to be picky and have to pick something, my only observation was that parking was a bit tight. But other than that there was nothing I didn't like.

This is the top of the premier league of guest houses. It was welcoming, immaculately furnished in the rooms to a very high standard. Every kind of extra you might need was provided. The breakfast was a good as it gets with plenty of choice (smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for me). It was easy to get to. The hosts were brilliant and it was walking distance from the main town. Perfect!
Nothing. The place is perfect.

I don't have enough room to write about all of the things I like so I'll try and keep it brief: The hosts were very welcoming and incredibly friendly. The room itself was homely, comfortable and I was sorry to leave to be honest. The facilities were immaculately clean and nothing was left to want for. I enjoyed a beautiful home-cooked breakfast and fascinating conversation with the owners. It felt like I was staying at a friends house rather than paid accommodation.

The location was good. It was a few minutes walk to Marks and Spencers for any shopping needed and a few more minutes further on was the High Street.
I was disappointed that my 'Private Bathroom' was actually down the corridor rather than in my room as it didn't state on the website that it was separate, which may be my fault for misunderstanding as it would probably have said 'Ensuite' but the double rooms stated 'Private Bathroom' but were actually 'Ensuite'. It was supposed to be only for my use but was used by another guest which was quite annoying as they didn't pull the chain when they left. It would probably be better if the bathroom could either be locked or a sign on the door to say it was not for communal use.
