Lesley and Iain are the most amazing hosts. Hardly have we ever felt so welcome in an accommodation (and we've had many). Lesley met us when we arrived, the rooms were all prepared and nice and clean, the views from the windows are amazing! We were given very good ideas and hints where to go for a walk and when we returned Iain had cooked the most delicious dinner for us. We were invited to sit in a comfy lounge after our meal and again our hosts were just lovely, offering drinks and simply looking after us. The next morning we found the most delicious breakfast, there was so much on offer, fresh fruit, even watermelon, jams, all sorts of cheese, ham, sausage, freshly warmed bread, croissants and even pecan nut treats, yogurt, cereals etc. There was coffee and more coffee. We could have sat there all they. We felt treated like friends. It's so rare to be treated like that and to be given the feeling to be really and truly welcome as a human being, valued as a guest. It's wonderful.

I stayed here with a friend, in a twin room, whilst cycling to John O’ Groats. We were very well looked after by the owners, who clearly knew the demands of cyclists and served us an exceptional dinner and breakfast, with exactly the quantities you would require when cycling 100 miles a day. The rooms were basic but comfortable. The service, food and warm welcome made the stay.

Room was a little cold, but this was more than made up for by the positive aspects.

The owners were brilliant, very helpful and kind. The breakfast was great. The evening meal was exceptional, home cooked and very reasonably priced. This was great value for money and was the perfect stop off whilst travelling north. Not a lot going on in the village but this hotel made the stay exceptionally good with the food, bar and cheery staff.

The lady who runs the hotel was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed, the room was very comfortable, we had a key to let ourselves in whenever we wanted so we weren't kept to a timetable. We opted for the continental breakfast and it was fantastic I would definitely recommend this place to stay

Nothing it was all good 😊

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, cooked a delicious meal of fresh fish and salad and suggested a mellow local whisky. It’s more a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Lovely view of the sunset from the bedroom window, a great location next to the water.

The bed could have been a bit firmer and the shower seemed to have a mind of its own, but I figured it out eventually

Excellent, quiet and picturesque location, lovely and very helpful hosts. The room was very cosy and cute, quiet and warm. The pub downstairs was super cool and very traditional, exactly what we needed for an easy evening. The fish n chips and the steak were one of the best meals we have eaten and an amazing suprise to our night. Breakfast was wonderful too, and the hosts very attentive to anything we needed. Lovely atmosphere and highly recommended visiting if you want a true heartwarming experience! Thank you!

Everything was excellent!

I was really pleased with our stay at Dunroamin. The couple who own and run it couldn't do enough for us and, as I was setting off on a challenge walk across Scotland the next day, a lot of my demands were out of the ordinary. The beds were super-comfy, the evening meal was excellent (I had the veggie haggis, neeps and tatties) - I didn't have breakfast as I had to set off early so can't comment.

it was all fine
