Beautiful location

Room was very hot Not enough water in the room.Such a shame these no room service.

Spotless and good facilities

Noise from the gym under the Hepburn building. Woken up at 6.30 by drum and bass. Bedroom doors banged rather than closed. So banging doors all night

Staff at reception did not seem on top of their role.

Beautiful grounds, quiet area and nice walking trails nearby, town has some nice restaurants as well. Staff is friendly and helpful, bathrooms are modern and clean, and the WiFi is great. While there are several restaurants/bar on site, the food options are few, but it is well prepared and presented. The free parking was plentiful.

Room amenities are a bit lacking: Room had no AC (heat only and a small desk fan for cooling) and was on the small side. it was OK for just 1 person, but when staying with 2 (and 2 suitcases), it may be too cramped. Room didn't have a fridge (which would have been nice for an extended stay). A car/ taxi/access to uber is a must for staying as there are few options for public transit.

The main building is beautiful. I was in a more modern building at the back, that also had the gym in it. I asked for a quiet location for my room. I got it! I had some fab sleeps, for a hotel! There was a wedding on the first night. The music was fab! The bar was next to the wedding venue/disco. The grounds of the hotel are huge, and make for a gorgeous view from the bar and suites. The driveway is impressively long!! They had a couple of charging pods for EV's, which as a newby to the world of EV's were easy to use. The room had an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and kettle. Very comfy bed, fabulous walk in shower in the ensuite.ample space for toiletries, huge mirror. In the bedroom, there was a large TV on the wall.full length mirror with a plug socket next to it!! All in all amazing value.

The food in the bar was quite expensive, I expected that, given the reasonable room rate, but the choice was a bit limited and overly fancy!! You could order the restaurant menu in the bar too. Whilst this is not a bad thing, if I wanted to eat/pay for food like that, I would want to be in the restaurant itself!. I think a simpler menu in the bar works well. Maybe there was a walk around the grounds, but I didn't find one. The grass/ground was sodden after all the rain this winter. A nice pathway would be a great addition.

Set in lovely grounds grand building beautifully decorated smelled and was clean

We were put in another building not the main hotel it was clean but the rooms were very hot as no air con the bed was very uncomfortable gave both of us a sore back & the pillows were too thick I had to resort to using a small decorative Cushion. Although the staff were friendly & polite on several occasions in the bar & At reception had to wait some time for someone to appear to get served & also no reception staff on trying to check out even after finding someone twice who said someone would be there shortly was left waiting around approximately 10 mins such a shame that these simple things let the hotel & stay down .

Our room was beautifully appointed and covered all requirements. This was the stand out element of our brief stay. Less satisfactory were the arrangements at the bar in the early evening where there was a huge wait to be served with the orders from two previous customers taking an age to be completed. We chose not to dine in. We found breakfast to be disappointing. The service was attentive and friendly but the buffet offering felt unimaginative and a little mean. Coffee in a cafetiere rather than delivered in a mug would be a big improvement.

Firstly I didn’t not satisfy the service I was given on my stay as the person who was in charge/manager on duty of the restaurant for breakfast Session was not willing to provide a good service;when I arrived to have breakfast in the morning,the manager/person had crossed my room number saying I had already had my breakfast,additionally I asked for cheddar cheese ,the answer is ,we don’t do cheddar cheese, Sadly they try to charge me claiming that I had dinner the night before,it Might be a lack of communication,nevertheless I had a great time and a pleasant stay

Comfortable bed, beautiful location , very quiet, rooms are lovely , Staff friendly friendly Bar is nice , all over always a pleasant stay

Just for feedback. Having stayed several times, no hook to easily hang coats on in room , fan for bathroom only able to switch off if stand on chair unless you are tall otherwise have to leave off as it doesn’t turn off after few mins Would have eaten (have before) but restaurant not good value so ate off site. Back stairwell is shocking , it really needs repairing, ( I rarely use lifts) I always use and is always that feeling of going from beautiful hotel to fawlty towers (just the stairwell) doesn’t detract from stay but just needs attention.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely inside all round. Really comfortable rooms, clean and good size. Quite and tranquil, as we walked around cleaning staff very polite and respectable with holding doors or opening them. Lovely bathrooms, beautiful products. Very comfortable bed, great nights sleep, had everything we needed.

Arrived early could check in early, lovely... told room was available. I asked at any charge then told £20 a hour, but wasn't going to tell me until I asked. Not greeted due to talking amongst self's was told to go over their. Breakfast was OK unfortunately took away my drink although I stated I wasn't finished.
