Comfortable bed and good room soundproofing from the road

No instructions provided ahead of time where to park, this would be useful for any first time visitors. We arrived shortly after 6pm to check in and the building was locked up with the lights off for the evening. Breakfast served only until 8.45am with check out by 10am at a weekend. We personally felt this was too early compared to most average check outs to be at least 11am nowadays. Whilst we would have liked to sample breakfast, the time was just too much of an early start for us on our holiday.

Location was perfect for accessing a restaurant on the evening for something to eat. Near to the job which was helpful too. Comfortable rooms.

It's not a case of didn't like, on the evening we were asked to request certain items for breakfasr the next morning, however, some items that were requested were missing from the breakfast. This was fine though, we didn't mind, it may bother others more.

Hosts, Ian and Jo were welcoming, helpful and served an excellent breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and had tea/coffee. I was travelling by bike and they offered secure bike storage in a locked shed. The hotel is directly on Nation Cycle Route #8 (goes past the front door) so a great option on a trip through Wales. The hotel is within a minutes walk of pub and restaurant options. Recommended.

Characterful property, in the centre of town. Friendly, welcoming & hospitable hosts. Room size was quite reasonable. Plenty of safe, on-site parking at the rear. Lovely breakfast. Walking distance to riverside park and local eating options.

Slope of floor in room. Lots of levels and stairs to the room. Certainly not for people with mobility issues. Could do with a drawer beside the bed.

Location is good, bedroom was clean and compact. Ideal for one, but a bit small for 2. Breakfast was good, and could have ordered extra if I wanted more. Hosts were very friendly.

Only a minor point is that with the small shower, a shelf for shampoo / soap would be a useful addition as bending down in the confined space was a bit difficult with a stiff back.

Amazing entry from the car park, lovely little walkway. Lovely greeting upon arrival from the owners who added lots of personal touches. Such a quirky place with lots of hidden gems throughout the building. Bedroom was spacious, beautifully designed and bathroom lovely and fresh. Lovely extras such as blankets to keep warm if it was cold, luckily the heating kept us snuggly. Powerful hot shower both lastnight and this morning. Breakfast was delicious and made exactly as we ordered 😋 Carpark easy to find just around the back of the building. Good sized spaces, as a new driver i needed this. Definitely will be returning

Quirky and interesting building in the centre of a lovely little town. Close to shops, restaurants and pubs. We were on a cycling tour and the owners provided us with a locked cycle store in the car park - with power so that one of our guys could charge his electric bike. The breakfast was lovely - fresh fruit, yoghurt and home made granola for me was just right. My bed was one of the most comfortable ever :)

The room (Double Deluxe) was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and good quality. Breakfast is pre-ordered the evening before so was promptly served, but unrushed. Hosts are a very pleasant couple. Information provided pre-arrival is very good.

As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs, depending which floor you are sleeping on, but you are warned about this pre-arrival

Very friendly welcome from Jo & Ian. As they said their B&B is quirky, but it suited us completely. On site private parking at rear of building. The breakfast was great - local produce and excellent homemade Welsh cakes!

Can't think of anything on our part! Wouldn't suit people with mobility problems - stairs.

If you ever want a hotel that treats you like royalty, the owl is the best place to stay in Wales. The breakfast was absolutely incredible, the bed was super comfy and don’t even get me started on the shower pressure. The hosts were more than amazing, it’s 11/10 for me and my partner.
