The food here was amazing. We hadn't planned to eat an evening meal but as our day hadn't worked out as expected we thought it would be a good idea. Boy was that a great idea. The steak and ale pie was amazing, the team were brilliant making us feel at home. For breakfast I was treated to a very impressive interpretation of poached egg and avocado and it too was lovely. The bar and restaurant area are very homely/country style and made for a great time spent in them. We are very likely to stay here again.
There were a couple of little snags with the room which have been shared with the management and I feel sure that they will sort them out as otherwise this would have been a ridiculously excellent 10/10 stay.

We stayed here around the same time last year and found it to be super noisy during the night with people leaving for early flights. Despite the noise, we enjoyed our stay so thought we’d try it again this year - our room was on a similar floor to the one previous but we weren’t woken at all and found it to be very quiet and peaceful. It’s a great location if you’re travelling to Gatwick Airport and the room was clean and cosy with everything you could need for a short stay. We’ll certainly be coming back next time we have an early morning flight.
There’s quite a few stairs - not ideal if you have a lot of luggage - but that’s pretty standard for an older property and didn’t really bother us.

Friendly staff. Very nice unique room which I liked. I booked last minute as I was let down by another Company and the young lady there was excellent and went above and beyond to help me sort out a room on the ground floor and a letter invoice to give the other company even though she didn't have to as it was booked via booking. Com. First rate service
No aircon ( they did have a fan and that combined with opening the window worked ok ). And whilst it didn't particularly bother me the dust on the fan and table leg was unexpected as the rest of the room was so clean.

I did like the friendly atmosphere, the comfort of the room, the good food and the vicinity to LGW. As a Cabin Manager who lives in London and sometimes has to stay in the vicinity of the airport when the M25 is partially closed, being in the countryside but at only 12 mins from the North Terminal was fantastic. It is a pity that it is not possible to check out a bit later if the flight is in the afternoon. But I do understand that this accommodation is not in partnership with any airline. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it!

Our ground floor room and en suite was easily accessed from the large carpark. The hotel had a very good restaurant & bar for our evening meal. The bed linen and towels were crisp and white. The staff could not have been nicer.
There unfortunately was a drainy smell from the bathroom needing the door to be kept closed but this was our only issue.

Lovely room and bathroom and a really convenient spot if you’re looking to travel to Gatwick Airport. We arrived on a Sunday evening and the roast in the pub downstairs was delicious!!
As can be expected from an older building, there wasn’t much internal noise insulation. It’s obviously a popular spot with travellers heading to and from the airport at all times of the night so we were woken a couple of times by doors slamming and people dragging their luggage down the stairs. Still a great spot though and would certainly consider staying again - just bring ear plugs!

Lovely place - so cute - staff are utterly amazing!!! If you get stranded at Gatwick - come here it’s 10 mins away and you won’t be disappointed. Food also lovely!
The rooms need re painting. I never understood hotels like this, it costs 50 quid for a lick of paint and you can raise prices by 20 quid. But aside that very small detail - all is extremely good.

Room was comfortable. Hotel situated close to Wakehurst Palace where we visited. Staff were friedly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent both the Veggie and the Continental.
One small criticism We stayed in a ground floor room overlookedby the car park and rear gardens. The windows only had draw back cutains with no blinds or nets so for privacy they had to be almost drawn all the time.

The staff at The Curious Pig in the Parlour are among the best staff of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. This was my second stay after having stayed in January 2023 and both times the staff have been attentive, helpful, and friendly - to the extent that having a chat after dinner for almost three hours felt like I was catching up with friends.
Literally nothing to be honest, the stay was exactly what I expected it would be. Comfortable bed, great room - no complaints at all!

The Curious Pig in the Parlour was an ideal little find for us needing to find somewhere to stay close to the airport before an early morning flight. Room was lovely and clean with a view of the back garden / patio area. Had dinner there too which was great for quality and price.
The day / night we stayed was a lovely hot day, however this meant our room was like an oven even with windows open and fan on. Couldn’t be helped, but did make it difficult to sleep as fan just moved the warm air around than cooling us down.
