Located in a beautiful village but centrally situated, allowing easy exploration of Cambridge and surrounding area. Very peaceful surroundings to stay in and it allows you to just get away from it all. Breakfast, delivered to the door, each morning, was excellent. Really good quality produce and it was a generous portion. Also, breakfast was always delivered with a welcoming smile. Alex was a extremely helpful and caring host. Provided heaps of information about local public transport into Cambridge. We would definitely recommend visitors to use the guided busway into Cambridge. Fantastic service. We had a wonderful stay.

Cosy accommodation, has everything you need for a nights stay near Cambridge. Complete mini house with bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen. Quiet location with beautiful surroundings for walking/pub. Driveway to park car, felt very safe. Friendly host who saw us out in the morning and checked on our stay.

As this place is 20 min drive out of Cambridge and not near a train station had to get a taxi however I’m aware there is a bus stop a little walk away. Would have been nice to have had some milk for a coffee in the morning, didn’t think to bring this, no shop nearby.

I almost didn't want to do a review on the Thorn B&B because it was so perfect I wanted to keep it a secret 🤫 Gorgeous, quiet location. Great to have a whole little house all to ourselves. Lovely cooked breakfast hand delivered each morning. The lovely host, Alex, likes to deliver breakfast by 8am so if you want a lie in take some cereal or bread for toast and make your own in the little kitchen where a microwave, small fridge with chiller slot (not freezer), coffee machine, toaster and kettle are provided. There's also tea, coffee pods, condiments, jam and a big barrel of biscuits provided. Small living room with smart TV, cupboard that doubled up as a wardrobe and ironing board and iron home and dining table. Walk in shower was efficient and toiletries are provided. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was equipped with fans, electric blanket, hairdryer and straighteners! There wasn't a garden view in our lodge but there was a private drive that allowed us to take the car right up to the front door of the property which made unpacking a breeze. Away from the property there is a local pub 'The Three Tuns' which does a very nice meal. Not the cheapest place for food but if it is only a night or two then it's great. There is no shop of any kind in the village so stock up before you get there. Alex gave us a fabulous welcome with a little treat (I won't spoil the surprise) and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. If you want a relaxed, private experience then this is definitely the place for you.

Just back from a stay in this lovely b&b. We stayed in the cottage and it was so lovely and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed an evening meal in the local pub which was very enjoyable. The cottage was really nice, soft towels and all very clean. The host Alex was really lovely, he gave us such a nice warm welcome and was such a kind, friendly and pleasant person. The breakfast provided was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere a little different. Much nicer than staying in a normal generic hotel and easily accessible to local attractions.

We were only at Thorn House for 1 night but it had everything we needed - plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, a separate seating area with a TV and a very comfortable bed. After a lovely meal at the pub round the corner it was a great place to relax. We appreciated the off-street parking and very quiet location, and we really enjoyed the delicious full English breakfast freshly cooked by the owner and delivered to our door.

omg !!! what a fantastic stay, Alex, the host is lovely and can’t do enough for you, so friendly.. the accommodation is really well equipped, Alex has though of everything. The decor is lovely and makes for a relaxing atmosphere and it is warm and cosy, the bed is super comfortable and with the bonus of a second room with large tv and comfy sofa it makes the accommodation exceptional value The cooked breakfast was of high quality , locally sourced produce and cooked to perfection we dined at the local pub, The three tuns where there was a really lovely atmosphere and amazing food , bonus point , had a really fire .. would highly recommend a visit there … the property has off road parking

The full-cooked breakfast is amazing. There's always fresh milk left in the fridge so I can have a cuppa when I arrive. The huge jar of biscuits is a lovely touch, and the Tassimo coffee machine makes for a great start in the morning. There's also a large Tesco close by, so if you want to buy a microwave dinner and head back to Thorn House for dinner, that's a good option. However, there's also a great pub just around the corner. Thorn House is in a quiet location, so you'll get a peaceful night's sleep.

Great private place. Comfortable bed with luxury sheets. Bathroom with large towels and toiletries. Small lounge perfect for 2 people. Fridge, microwave and kettle. TV in both rooms. A coffee maker. Fab breakfast bought to us the following morning by the host. Parking right outside on the driveway. Friendly kind host.

Only used for a night stop over mid journey, but would be happy to use again or recommend to others. Made welcome on arrival and provided with a good breakfast in the morning. The facilities outweighed our needs and expectations for just one night, and you could easily spend a good few days without going stir crazy. Would've liked to have explored the area and the local pub but we were only passing through.

What a find!! We stayed here for one night after spending the day at a local festival. We were slightly concerned that requesting a late check in may be an issue.... But the host was so accommodating. Great communication throughout. The accommodation was beautiful... So clean and cosy. And stocked with everything you need. Will definitely be returning next year! 5*
