The Millers Arms is such a great find in Canterbury. As a woman staying solo for a work trip I really valued how warm a welcome I received from staff. The service at all meals was so quick and the quality excellent - to get a breakfast of this high standard included included in the room rate is a steal! This was my second visit and my experience was consistently good. I stayed in a twin the first time which had a lovely view of the weir and a bath, and the second time because I stayed Inna quiet night I was upgraded to the best room which has lots of lovely features - a huge bed, roll-top bath and robes. Thank you to the team at The Millers Arms, I will be back!
The only negative I can think of is that the carpets on the stairs up to the rooms are worn, and made me nervous for what to expect in the room, but I needn't have worried. The pub is clearly committed to reinvesting in its upkeep because it's currently undergoing a refresh of the exterior paintwork so the carpet is no doubt part of the schedule of intended works.

As 2 Muslim females and a getaway that was booked last minute I really didn’t know what to expect! I was exceptionally impressed with the welcome we received and the way we were treated. The staff especially Jenny were extremely nice and accommodating. My daughter ordered breakfast and it was prepared with a lot of thought for our diet which made us both very happy. The beds and pillows were so very comfortable the bed linen was crispy clean I had the best sleep Iv ever had away from home. Paul was so very nice it was a pleasure to have met such lovely people. We will be returning for a longer stay 😊A highly recommended place to stay.

Lovely location, staff engaging, friendly and welcoming. Food was gorgeous. Thank you to all the staff and a special thanks to George and Grace and the lovely girl who served my breakfast this morning. She was equally lovely but forgot to get her name
The only two minor things was I think there should be a sign into the bathroom to say mind the step as not on same level. And the only thing was being woken up by the deliveries and people talking outside but as I said these are 2 minor points

Paul and all of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We decided to eat our evening meal at the pub, and they were happy for us to move tables when it got a bit noisy due to a work Christmas party, so we moved to a quieter section of the pub. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the breakfast, which offered a superb choice. Our room was warm, clean and quiet, and the pub is brilliantly placed for either a river walk, or exploring the city centre with the cathedral and the shops. We absolutely loved our stay and plan to return.
We would have preferred a bath to a shower, but we hadn't stipulated that, and chose not to raise it as we were only there one night.

The location is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really nice, we didn’t have dinner there so cannot comment.
The bed was much smaller than we expected and the bedroom was really tiny making it difficult to get in and out of the room as the bedroom door and the fire door had to both be open in order to squeeze through the space. We then had the wardrobe and bottom of the bed to manoeuvre around.

The hotel is in an excellent location being just a few minutes walk into the old town centre and all the major historical buildings. The staff are so helpful and pleasant and will go the extra mile to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
There was a very limited choice on offer if you didn't want a cooked breakfast. Just two different cereals and toast. Our room was at the back of the hotel and so very noisy until late evening and again in the morning. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Room service did try to help by putting a blanket on top.

Great location in a quieter area but still close to the centre of town. Lovely setting beside a park and the remains of an ancient mill. Excellent staff who were very welcoming, kind and helpful. We enjoyed just hanging out at the pub and eating there in the evenings. There is a lovely outdoor area to have drinks and relax. Our room had a view of the cathedral which was wonderful.
There were a few issues with the room that were troublesome. The TV cable connection was damaged so we had an erratic TV reception and also the toilet had a very feeble flush. A net curtain in the bedroom would have been much appreciated to allow a sense of privacy and curtains rather than a blind to block out the light at night.

The location was perfect for exploring Canterbury, the staff were lovely and accommodating nothing was too much trouble, was given a room upgrade and moved to feature room. The food and service was excellent
The rolltop bath was a lovely feature in the bathroom. However, the shower needs a rethink as it doesn't work over the bath. The shower curtains stick to you, The decor is tired and could do with a refresh

Excellent location - within 10 minutes walk from Canterbury West station and 10 minutes to Christchurch Cathedral. Food was excellent, though it was a change from a stay a few years earlier - I guess it was due to Covid-19. The staff was friendly and quick dealing with the check-in, check-out and service at breakfast. Room had a nice view of the cathedral and was well appointed with plenty of towels. The heater kept the room nice and warm during the cold nights.
My room this time was opposite what seemed to be an office, which was a bit noisy at 6-6:30 am in the morning, with the door banging noisly. However otherwise the room was quiet despite the accommodation being over a pub.

The Inn was lovely and staff were very kind, friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed our breakfat every morning in the pub - it was always fresh and very tasty! The room came with a lovely en suite and large tub, which was well enjoyed, too. Would definitely recommend if visiting Canterbury for a couple of days.
Everything in the room was lovely, except one side of the bed was definitely a bit more used/worn feeling and was less comfortable for one of us, unfortunately.
