Convenient central location in Castleton, quiet and peaceful as set well back from the road. Good views, spacious room, luxurious bathroom, big comfy bed, great for our overnight stay.

There are several rooms in the Mews, all ‘dog friendly’, so I recommend one room should be kept ‘dog free’ to make the Mews non discriminatory and inclusive for those with dog allergies etcetera.

Nice, comfortable, good communication and good location.

It was a little noisy in the nights, this is due to the fact that the roof is currently being repaired from a previous storm. The weather happened to be very windy, which was why it rattled, but we were advised about the scaffolding and what had happened. Thus, nothing could be helped (no one plans the weather).. It wasn't their fault at all. So we had a lovely time, regardless. If it weren't for that, it would have been a 10/10. I'm sure that will be fixed in no time and it would be perfect.

The modern and clean presentation of the accommodation. Excellent shower room.

Returning from an evening out to find a very dangerous looking set of indoor extension cables across the threshold of our unit so that the neighbours could recharge their electric car batteries. Not just a trip hazard but real possibility of getting a shock as exposed cables were drenched in rainwater. Photos attached below. We had trouble getting the heating to come on long enough to dry our towels and a welcome/information card would have been helpful. All guidance was perhaps included in the tranche of booking confirmation emails received, but some sort of welcome would have been nice.

The cottage was fantastic Excellent location pubs/cafe’s/restaurants within an easy 5 min walk Spotlessly clean Massive comfy king size bed Even had a diffuser to the hairdryer which I’ve never seen in any stay away I’ve had massive plus for me with having curly hair as I usually have to take my own hairdryer Stacey was an exceptional host any questions I had replied straight away and gave good recommendations We will be back again nxt year Hopefully no storm babet joining us either 🙈

A little close to a walk way outside the main bedroom window as I felt ppl could look in but wouldn’t stop us staying again

Location could not have been better. Clean, tidy, warm, stunning views. Nice shower and towels. Plenty of tea and coffee!

Only minor things because on the whole it was great - really great. Good for a few days but not so easy if you were staying too long. We would have liked the ability to maybe prepare our sandwiches on a suitable surface for a day's walking. We bought out so not an issue.

The location was great and we were able to leave our car there from 12pm on the day of check-in. Even though check-out was at 10am we were still able to leave our car whilst we walked and got breakfast. Communication with the hosts was really good, all information was given to us prior to our stay for a smooth check-in and when we asked a question they responded quickly. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfy! Would definitely stay again!

The only minor thing would be the fridge in the room was quite noisy however, I am a light sleeper and this was only a very, very slight inconvenience.

We loved every part of our stay!! Central location, great for our dog a home from home. Clean, tidy and comfortable. The perfect location for anyone wanting to have a walk around the village or even a walk into hope for the day. Local pubs & food were great, allowed dogs in most places too which was handy for us. Definitely will be booking to stay again at Cheshire Mews thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing it was perfect.

Very cute, clean, and modern room. The bathroom was lovely, great shower. Bed very comfortable. Loved the view from the room! Nice touch to have complimentary tea and coffee. We found it suited our needs for a few days in Castleton. Location is perfect, short walk to all of Castleton pubs etc. and a great base for walks.

The only improvement for me would have been for a hairdryer in the room as I didn't check whether there would be one and didn't pack one.

the room was so spacious and cosy. it was really nice to have somewhere to relax after a long days walking. the fridge was really useful and the bed really comfy and huge! luxurious feel with a great budget. and it was spotless. Staff were really helpful and even when we left something behind they offered to post it back to us. 👌

Nothing!!!! I literally have nothing bad to say. My only suggestion would be to add a local info pack with some suggestions of things to do and places to eat. But in Castleton you would be blind not to find these for yourself so it’s not needed but always nice to have local ideas and recommendations.

check in was easy. Early check in was brilliant thank you, enabling us to park early and explore. First impressions were good nice sunny view over to Lose Hill and Back Tor after a field of horses. Great views. Bed was comfy, tv large and ideal for the night. sofa was comfortable on the morning. Wet room was great, well finished and quality finish. Only gripe was a surface. Room is huge and worth the extra. Gas Stove was nice, didn’t use as too warm but can imagine in winter. Entrance lobby was big, coat hooks and boot tray to keep clean. Really enjoyed the suite. Ideal with parking. Easy to find. Very central location with pubs and shops local. There’s food and drink shops local on the same road. Thank you.

Bathroom could do with a surface as above, a shelf, tall boy or the like to put your wash bags onto and and any products out for use. No issue for an overnight but longer term I’d miss that and using the cistern wasn’t the best. There’s certainly ample room. Also a few hooks maybe again there’s the wall space or door. Just an observation to make the suite more in keeping… I’d put the fridge into a unit or under a counter with the tea and coffee tray on, just more aesthetically pleasing when you’ve made such a beautiful effort. Neither would stop us staying again but the only way is up for this place.
