The late check out at 11:00am was very useful. Breakfast was very good and more than we needed. Check in, payment and check out was all automated so arrival and departure were very easy. Good sized bathroom with plenty of bench space. Parking was plentiful and easy access. The hosts recommended a local restaurant which also had good parking and was fantastic quality. The bed was a good size and comfortable. WiFi was reasonably fast and very reliable.

The room was a bit small but fine for our overnight stay. There was a little road noise but not enough to be a serious problem. The room had some outside security lighting which wasn't totally blocked out by the curtains.

There was very little not to like. The property was very well decorated, equipped and laid out, with helpful information about places to eat and drink. The online app for booking breakfast was a great idea as was the retaining of paper booking sheets for those who chose to.

The only issue we had with the property was the road outside being closed during the day for resurfacing. It was not clear how well access would be maintained but the owners advised that they hadn’t been told so couldn’t pass this on but that they had been assured that there would be access when required (there was)

Loved this place ! Location was superb for visiting somerset ! Great having the paddock to walk dog in morning and last thing at night Breakfast was lovely and having it at your door each morning was a brilliant idea ! Loved the table and chairs outside our door Carol very helpful

Bed & pillows could be a bit more comfortable

Absolutely everything I needed on this particular evening. I wanted a peaceful, relaxing location to spend the night in between bookings in the area so this was perfect. A warm, friendly welcome and a comfortable room that gave me one of the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel or B&B. Capped off with the sheer luxury of having breakfast in my room in the morning. Cannot recommend enough.

Lovely location set in country side. We were in cottage no 1 which was surrounded by beautiful garden. Good breakfast and ample parking. Easy to locate and constant updates by email with Carol and her daughter . Only downside was no where to walk as on a busy road (if thats what your looking for )but Carol was open about that.

It suited us as was just an overnight stay.

The Golden Fleece is perfectly situated in a quiet village as an overnight stop en route to Cornwall from the South East. Easy parking, large room, comfortable bed, and a choice of local dining for dinner. Good selection of freshly prepared breakfasts can be served in your room if required. Attentive, warm hosts.

Just liked being out of town in a quiet location. Everything is personal from checking in to ordering breakfast etc nothing seems to much trouble. Breakfast far too much choice for me but yummy. Local shop and pubs in easy distance walking if weather is on your side. Have booked again and will in the future if in the area.

Excellent room, very well equipped and comfortable. Patio tables outside the room to enjoy the outdoors too. The breakfast was outstanding, plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. Friendly and helpful owners. We hadn't realised when we booked, the location isn't close to Chard itself and a few miles from anywhere. You certainly need a car to make the most of it. There are pubs within a few miles and take aways/deliveries are permitted and plates etc provided in the room.

Perfect for our friends 70th birthday celebration. Comfortable adjoining room we could eat and drink together. Food delivered for us to enjoy. Finished of with an excellent full English this morning.

We couldn't sit and enjoy outside because of the rain. No fault of Golden Fleece obviously.
