Friendly staff, very good breakfast and dinner - the best fish and chips had in a long time. The pub area was very welcoming with games and comfy seating. Loved the espresso machine in the room. Generally speaking, the room was very comfortable. The security was very good.

No fridge in the room, fresh milk was provided but the room was quite warm so by the morning it wasn't as fresh as we would have liked. The pillows were quite lumpy. Some areas could have been a bit cleaner, i.e., the top of the espresso machine was dusty, and the toilet pan had a slight crack in it. Could have done with some more hangers in the wardrobe.

Everything was great! The room was comfortable and big. The staff were very kind! The hotel is separated from the pub side and we weren’t hearing any excess noise or anything like that. I did enjoy that we could drop our bags in the room and then go into the pub side and feel like you aren’t in a hotel. It’s different and it was really great! There’s great decor, The staff were helpful and very sweet. I’d highly recommend for short stays if visiting the area!

In the restaurant, the starters and mains were sent out at the same time but the staff was very apologetic and offered to send the mains back as we finished our starters which was kind. The slight disorganisation is the only piece of criticism I would have. Other than that, we had a lovely stay at the property and it was perfect for what we needed🙏

We had room 40 (1st floor) for 2-nights, a spacious double with an extra large bed. There was a small lift to the 1st & 2nd floors - helpful for anyone with luggage or a mobility issue. The 6ft bed and bedding were very nice / good quality and the air con worked extremely well. There was a blind and black-out curtains at the bedroom window, which nicely shielded out the early morning summer light. The room had a small settee, large TV + a kettle, 2 large cups and tea & coffee making facilities. There was a small desk, which was helpful for anyone with work to do. The en-suite bathroom had a large walk-in shower plus a heated towel rail which was on constantly and encouraged the drying and re-use of towels. There are about 20 car parking spaces at The Crown and we were able to get a space during our stay on a Monday & Tuesday night - however, I imagine it would be more difficult to get a space at the weekend. We had a drink and an evening meal at The Crown - fish & chips & mushy peas ! - and found the quality and quantity to be excellent.

The sink in the en-suite bathroom was extremely small, to the extent it was difficult to refill the kettle or water bottles.

I cannot rate the Crown highly enough. 4 of us in two rooms stayed for 2 nights at a very reasonable price inclusive of breakfast. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant the first evening. The menu was very good and food well presented and tasty. All the staff we encountered were professional, polite and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with all the facilities you could need. Thanks to all concerned for a pleasant stay.

Nothing to add here !!

The room was spacious, comfortable, and generally clean. It was easy to locate the room, and although it was attached to a bar, it was lovely and quiet (apart from the odd plane, but was to be expected due to location). Nice and close to Thorpe Park, which was the reason for our booking. There was a decent amount of parking, and checkout was easy. Good value for money, breakfast not included but would only be £12.50 per person at the restaurant.

The bathroom wasn't very clean. The taps in both the sink and bath were built up with limescale and could do with being realigned as the water flow was off. The bath had some hairs in, which were easy enough to wash away. We also found a false eyelash strip stuck to one of the sweetener packets at the coffee station, definitely not mine, as I don't do false lashes. The lamps in the room were not great for throwing light, and we had no main light, so we could only use the lamps. All of this said, I would definitely book again as only minor inconveniences, and it's great for purpose (Thorpe Park).

Very comfortable bed Good quality linens. Large shower. Very nice quality shower gel and shampoo . Well decorated room.

Hotel staff were very good. However, the barman seemed to have a problem with specific requests. Asked for a 'dark and stormy' he said they didn't do them. Explained it was a dark rum and gingerbeer and he said they didn't have the right sort of rum. when asked for a gingerbeer and a separate rum with the rum in a short glass he was clearly not very pleased with that. very odd. The bar was very noisy.

We had breakfast both mornings of the stay. The breakfast on Saturday morning was great, plenty of choice, fast service, breakfast was nicely cooked and served attractively

They were very busy (100 people expected) however it took 3 attempts for the chef to achieve a softly cooked fried egg. When my first two were hard, I sent them back, but 2 more hard ones were served. They had obviously been cooked and kept warm. When I complained, a second member of staff felt the need to clarify with me how exactly I wanted my egg. Im sure this was just because of the volume of traffic, as the previous morning was great, but it spoiled breakfast for me

Great location. We stayed here for the PGA Golf which was only 15 mins away and also visited Windsor, also 15 mins. Comfortable rooms with lovely toiletries supplied.

Room very dark with just bedside lights and standard lamp. No ceiling light or light near the mirror for make up. No hairdryer. Could have been a bit cleaner as skirting boards and under the desk area was very dusty and dirty.

Casual atmosphere in bar & restaurant. Pleasant staff.

Spiders in my room & because my room was on ground floor facing the courtyard, I felt it was a little too noisy during the afternoon/evening & also lacked privacy even with the curtains drawn which I didn't want to do during daylight hours. One more comment was the room lacked sufficient lighting. It was quite dark even with all the lights on

Everything was lovely - the staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating, the room was beautiful and very comfortable, the restaurant was lovely and the food was some of the best I have eaten (I had the lamb shoulder and it was cooked to perfection) - all fantastic.

My only tiny little problems were that there was no 'main' light in my room so it was very dark, even with all the side lights on, and the shower pressure was a little bit low (plus the shower head was unable to point in the right direction) but none of these things were worth complaining about at the time. I feel it's more like helpful feedback.
