The room (a different room to the one I stayed in previously) was lovely, cool, and spacious. Once again the breakfast package was a delight. The huge, separate (a great element actually) bathroom was amazing, and the huge bath was very welcome.

There were a couple of lights not working properly, and while the signs do mention the low beams, I feel some padding or a more obvious colour on the beams would be useful (I'm aware I'm tall, but this didn't stop me from smacking my head on it a couple of times).

We stayed on a Thursday night No food was available which was not said on website or as advertised was informed the brassiere down the road which was the sister company would serve food unfortunately was closed and didn’t look like it had been open in a while , also email morning of visit that it was karaoke night and singing till 12 , Not the peaceful break we had anticipated as luck would have it was cancelled thankfully Room and facilities where great muffins cereal tea and coffee etc unfortunately the yogurt’s in fridge had been half ate so just a reminder for staff to check in future bed was comfy although it was not the superking plus as advertised x beautiful church next door x

The room was absolutely stunning, plenty of space in both bedroom and bathroom and they were both sparkling clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the complimentary breakfast hamper was perfect. The lady who checked us in was lovely and extremely helpful, both with our early check in, explaining everything and went above and beyond trying to help sort a taxi for us to get to the wedding we were attending.

The only frustration we had was trying to sort a taxi to a wedding which was only a 5 minute drive away. While this absolutely was not the fault of the Woolpack Inn, it was frustrating that there wasn’t a local taxi service available, something to be aware of if you’re need to travel outside the immediate area.

The continental breakfast was already prepared and placed in our hotel room was just right for us and plenty of it. Thank you. Room great, plenty of character which one might expect in Coggeshall Essex and good prior notice of nights when a band would be playing. This is an Inn after ll! No question was too much to answer for Mel and her bar staff - very impressed! Food - two salads were fantastic in spite of the chef having to work like lightening having just been informed that 38 guests were about to arrive without any prior notice or pre-booking!

The decor, cosy feel of the room and the location.

Smaller room than expected for the cost, the lady that checked us in mentioned that only 2 rooms were occupied so would have been nice to have a bigger room and one on the front as was very noisy at the back. We were advised of an event being on so we expected noise but could have possibly been located away from it...

The room I stayed in was stunning, with high ceilings and period features but still has modern features and facilities. The bathroom was beautiful and a great shower. A great touch is the breakfast hamper and a fridge with juice, yogurt, water, fruit and a cheeky chocolate! I would love to stay again. The staff were lovely too. Karaoke on a Thursday night may also be something to consider.

On entering the pub there is no obvious check in/reception area so felt a bit awkward. The pub itself is not representative of the lovely rooms upstairs - hopefully that will change with time as think owners are new & they have obviously spent time/money on the accommodation. It’s really well done upstairs.

The Woolpack Inn is an historic 15th century half timbered building. Just staying in such an old inn was an experience.The room I had was really big with a huge bathroom. The ceiling beams made the room special. The bed was big and super comfortable. A picnic hamper breakfast was provided which had lots of choice. There's plentiful parking which is a bonus. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay.

The room was so clean and tidy, perfect for a short stay over. We have been to the pub before seeing family and really enjoyed the busy atmosphere, so thought we’d stay over this time. We were gutted to miss karaoke as it so so much fun last time but will 100% be coming back. The bed was so comfortable especially after having a long soak in the bath.

Breakfast ok, we were aware that a conventional breakfast was unavailable. Quite sufficient available. Coffee making machine a challenge at first, looked up directions on our smart phone.

The short staircase a challenge for Mary (elderly), could have done with a stair rail or rope. Noticed that the banisters at the top marked by many other hands.... Concerned that the shower tray did not fully contain the water, it was seeping readily onto the floor outside the tray. We put down a towel to catch the wet.
