Staff were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble even though they were very busy with Christmas events. The food was excellent - not a huge menu but the vegetarian choices were well thought out and tasty. The bed was comfy and the room a good size. A good selection at breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast that was filling enough to set us up for the day! The traditional pub was cosy and lively with a great atmosphere.

There are no staff on the premises overnight, just an emergency number if there is a problem. If there was an emergency - for example, an assault, anti-social behaviour or a fire, I'm not sure it would be easy or even possible to find the emergency number in good time. We did find it on a card in our room but tucked in with the menus and other info. As a minimum this should be on the wall next to the emergency escape information where it can be found easily and will always be in the same place.

The staff were superb, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant food was excellent-we ate here both nights of our stay. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm. The reason our rooms weren't together was because we had also asked for a ground floor room if possible and this was provided but in the annexe across the road whilst our friends were in the main building up a short flight of stairs. This did not inconvenience us at all. Proximity to NEC, we will definitely stay here again when we visit the NEC.

The choice of wines and liqueuers available from the bar. The second night (Friday) was very noisy into the small hours. The venue had a disco which should have finished at 11:30pm but went on until midnight. The guests were also noisy when leaving. The assistant manager has informed us that they are due a refurb and will not be doing the Friday discos once this is completed. Our friends room was directly above the disco and they might as well have been in the party it was so loud. Our sleep was also disturbed by rowdy people in the Main Street but they came from another venue and eventually the Police arrived to clear them away. None of this was the fault of the Coleshill Hotel and the assistant manager apologised as she had also been disturbed by the noise outside.

Room and approachability of desk staff. Moved us to a quieter room due to young children. Room was a nice size and nice decor. Beds comfy. Sofa bed set up as requested. Good location.

Breakfast wasn't amazing. Staff member wasn't ready and still setting up Continental wasn't great variety or quality for the price. Things weren't labelled. Was a couple of flies in the breakfast room and not sure how long food had been uncovered.

From speaking with Debbie on the phone to being checked in by Cat, the staff really were standout and clearly go above and beyond. We had the perfectly quiet night that we needed (thank you both so much), and our room, across in the annexe, really was simply perfect. We could have been anywhere with the beautiful flowers out of our window, and birdsong - but right in the heart of Coleshill! There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property.

Very central - close to the local shops etc. Good parking availability on site. Staff were all very friendly and happy to help despite being very busy this weekend with lots going on. Ate here too and the food was very nice.

There were three of us staying in the room and it was booked accordingly, but this information didn't seem to have been noted. There was no bedding for the sofa bed and this had to be requested and took a little time to get, although staff were very obliging. The main bedroom was lovely but the bathroom looked a little tired.

Nothing about the hotel or staff. I just think for £75 a night a continental breakfast should be included.it was £7.50 each for that or £12.50 for a cooked breakfast which we paid for and had and it was delicious

We were going to a wedding reception in Coleshill which was only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Excellent location and breakfast.

We had room 10 which was nice but 2 things that disturbed our sleep was... The very creaky bed everytime you moved The curtains didn't cover the window so unfortunately the light streamed in early hours walking us up.

Spacious room and bathroom, very helpful staff, good car parking facility.

Nothing really. An old coaching building, nice bar area, spacious dining area (our son had breakfast, rated it highly). Well positioned for a family visit and we got a decent rate over the festive period. So all GOOD!

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very powerful. The staff at reception and bar were very helpful and friendly.

We were in room two which was very tired. Dated old furniture and bathroom. The bath had one of those horrible, grabby shower curtains. Paper hanging down from the ceiling in the bedroom. There was nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom, a hook on the back of the door would have been useful. Felt pads on the bottom of the chairs in the bar as we could hear every time someone moved a chair. I emailed asking if there was any availability in the restaurant on Saturday night as no times were available at all. I never got a reply. I emailed yesterday as I'd left something in the room but haven't had a reply back yet almost 24 hours later. The car park can be used by anyone so we had to park on the street Saturday night.

Comfortable room. Window didn't close fully which caused a slight whistle on a very windy evening but closing the curtains solved the issue. Unfortunately there was a slight mix up with the breakfast order of one ofmour group.

While the standard of the hotel is generally high I felt the decor was just a liitle tired in places, but this is a minor issue and did not detract from our stay.
