I absolutely love the quirkiness of this hotel. It was so clean, and fantastic location to the NEC. 90% of the staff I met couldn't do enough to help you and was super friendly.

Unfortunately 1 of the members of staff was super grumpy couldn't be bothered and she was rather rude. Luckily the rest of the team made up for her. The other thing would be the parking. They dont say that you have to still pay for parking. We arrived on check in day at 9am and left the next day at 3pm and paid £25 and the car park is quite far for someone who struggles walking.

I booked this hotel because I was going to see Falling in Reverse at the Arena (which is a 2 minute walk away, I could see it from my hotel room!) [Unfortunately, as some of you might know the concert got cancelled but as the room was already paid for (and train tickets), I went.] I'm not familiar with this area of Birmingham, so I actually walked the wrong way from the train station the first time. But after a bit of wandering around the hotel was easy to spot, it's really close to Birmingham International. I really liked the vibe of the place, when I arrived loads of people were sitting near the entrance working and chatting. The lady who checked me in was lovely and told me I had a free drink to use whenever I was ready. (I ended up getting a mocha.) The room was a generous size for a solo traveller like me, the bed was comfy, and I really appreciated that I could open the window. I couldn't make the TV work but that wasn't really an issue as I had my laptop with me. Shower had decent pressure; I'm a bath person but it was refreshing to shower for a change. I'm a shy loner AND a picky vegetarian but I ventured down for breakfast. I had fruits, beans, some pastries, and hash browns. I believe I could have requested veggie sausages but once again, I'm shy. Stayed downstairs for a bit, watched people coming and going, had a coffee. Thursday morning was quiet, but Friday was busy. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, the floor I was on was really quiet, didn't hear anything!

We stayed as a family of 4, 2 boys aged 8 and 13. Room 202 was really spacious with seperate lounge area with sofa bed made up on arrival. Facilities in the room where great, TV in each room, coffee pods, teas, ironing room up the corridor. Great location for an event at BP live or NEC, parking was easy at £12.00 overnight (make sure reception validate your token). Breakfast is by far the best I've had at any hotel, loads of choice, jams, pastries, meat, cheese, fruits, yogurts, about 15 cereals, jams, spreads, full English, even overnight oats. Check in/out super easy. Rooms have aircon and heating, very clean. Staff lovely and friendly. Would definitely rec3and stay again.

Nothing, it was fab.

The location of the hotel is directly opposite the entrance to the NEC, so perfect if visiting there. The staff were all really friendly, and actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs (quite rare nowadays!). The room we had was on the 6th floor and clean, well decorated and comfortable. There was no wardrobe, but enough hanging space on the funky exposed rail. Bathroom was small but with a big shower and very clean. It was quiet at night, but I think being on a high floor probably contributed to that. This is clearly a brand that is trying to liven up the hotel experience and it is working, from the funky neon lighting, and with little touches like the low level lighting that comes on below the bed when you get up in the middle of the night for the loo being quite innovative. The bar was lively in the evening, with a nice atmosphere and plenty of seating. The stand out for me though, was the breakfast. We paid £12 upon check-in and were not disappointed. I think it is the biggest selection of options for breakfast I have ever come across in a UK hotel, from cooked, to continental, to overnight oats, smoothies, yoghurt and everything in between. It's worth bearing in mind there is no parking at the hotel itself, but this is the same for all NEC hotels.

Can't think of anything at all.

I liked the closeness it had to the NEC which was very convenient. I also faced out onto the lake which was beautiful. Everything was spotless clean and I had sufficient towels, toilet rolls and space for my entire 4 day stay. What I also really appreciated was the ironing room at the end of the hall as my clothes were in desperate need of some ironing after my travels!

I was allocated a room on the 7th floor which meant waiting for the elevator took some time occasionally when everyone else was also wanting to use it but that’s an uncontrollable element as I booked fairly late, so no points deducted!

The hotel vibe felt very modern, the entrance to the lobby felt very homely with amazing setup for friendly get togethers with friends. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided all the help that we needed. The rooms were of a great size, the beds were comfy and the bathrooms were spotless. The rooms were also adorned with an A/C unit so any heat wave that comes your way had no impact on my stay.

Not much I could say about what I didn't like about MOXY itself, other than there were no nearby grocery stores that were open late. Other than the Resort World which had a few a shop that closes at 6pm.

I have diet needs never eat hotels due to past issues, Gareth, head chef came and arranged a meal i could safely eat and prepared it separately for me both evening's I was blown away. James, greeter server and super star assisted us with absolutely everything from room requirements due to special needs, assistance with sorting seating bringing food drinks and payment machine, James stood and chatted to understand all our individual requirements and did an outstanding job on remembering everything. We don't stay twice at hotels often but we are booking again very soon. The other staff were all lovely the hotel is clean and offers random games for entertainment ect in the rear of the bar, my friends joined us before we all went home and they were also treated like customers with respect 🙏 Cath, manager met us as we were leaving she also was very approachable and it was lovely to be able to thank all the staff for making our weekend perfect.

We had to leave.

Staff were lovely, rooms were modern, location was ideal for the convention we were attending. Breakfast had a good selection

Not much storage in the rooms, so we didn't have much space to hang up clothes etc. we booked for 4 nights if you have a shorter stay though it would be better. Breakfast only available until 10AM, usually hotels have breakfast available a bit later, especially on the weekends. Our room was on the first floor facing the NEC and there was quite a bit of hubbub outside all weekend, so both me and my partner struggled to sleep well during our stay there.

Location. Very relaxed. Room was very clean. Very quiet. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows.

Parking not next to the hotel. There is parking for offloading your bags for 10 minutes, not sure if there is any fine or charge levied if you overstay this time limit but as it was raining which then turned to snow I left my vehicle there overnight with no charge or parking ticket issued. I would have also struggled as I had a knee issue but there was disabled parking available, I did let the check in know so maybe they waived any charge as a goodwill. Very happy with the hotel, the room, the staff and the food.

Great location close to the piazza entrance of NEC. Friendly helpful staff and a really fun vibe in the hotel. Lots of communal seating in the foyer. Happy to store bags when I was leaving late after checking out. Great airconditioning in the room that you could leave on when you went out - not what I would usually do for environmental reasons - but when it was in a sunny south facing room and it was 30C outside, it was very much appreciated

Lack of parking at the hotel itself. I was warned about this, and the location of the hotel offset the inconvenience of this, but it was still a pity. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the designated car park and you cannot take your car in and out without incurring extra charges
