We managed to get a family room and it was lovely and spacious with a good view. It's really hot and so we were very glad to be able to open both sides of the window. The breakfast was amazing. There were cereals and juices on the bar but you could get a full English, cooked to order. We had dinner in the restaurant and the chef actually came out to hear our thoughts on the minted lamb chops. I've never had such a big piece of lamb before. Parking was free and plentiful. There was a lot of outdoor seating, which is great when the weather is hot. The pub has a lot of old features. I especially like the wooden fireplace in the dining area, which was hidden away behind boards and only discovered when they added the high ceilinged conservatory. It's 10 mins away from the NEC and very easy to find, which was great for us.

Easy to find after a day at the NEC. The food was top class. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. The landlord, landlady, and their staff were lovely and went over and above to make our stay a good one. It's a very old, very well run pub... keep that in mind, and you won't be disappointed with a stay here.

There were a few maintenance issues in our room, but nothing major, and the landlord took it on board with good humour.

Good location situated 5 minutes from the M6 and 20 minutes from the airport. The room was clean and warm with tea & coffee facilities the bed was comfy, bathroom was good size with a nice shower. The breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of it (full english). Selection of juices & cereals available also. All good and would stay again.

I havnt anything to say as I found it was spot on for my 2 night stay.

The walls were quite thin and we could hear people in the next room talking and laughing til about 3-4am also there was a weird humming noise that we could hear as well that gave me a headache. I took a shower whilst I was there and it didn't drain very well ending up standing in what felt like a bath and almost slipped but luckily didn't

Breakfast and Evening meal was very good and value for money and the rooms were clean.

Only comments I would make is that certain parts of the pub and accommodation are looking there age, it would be great to come back and see this pub modernised and looking fresh as I believe it is in a great location, especially to the NEC show ground in Birmingham.

Location great for the NEC. Staff all friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and clean with all the usual facilities. Ample free parking. Early closing at restaurant so didnt eat, evening meal there but full english breakfast, freshly cooked to order was delicious and set me up for the day. A venue with character, great staff, helpful and friendly. A truly good find that I would definitely return too. Great value for money

The breakfast was lovely, and the staff very friendly. The room was great, with a lovely view, and the bed very comfortable.

My only small issue was that, twice, I messaged the property through the Booking site with a couple of questions but I receive a reply to either message. In the end I had to ring to get answers to my questions but this was my only issue and really something for the property to look into.

Clean, food was good and the staff were really lovely and helpful. We were going to an event at the BEC and this property was only a 9 minute drive from there- perfect

The only thing that we had a bit of a problem with was the internet signal. We were in a room at the top of the property and the internet signal was dropping in and out.

Huge car park at the rear plus a very nice outside dining area. The bar area was clean, fresh, modern but traditional too & dog friendly. Our room was at the top & had a double & a single bed - big spacious clean room. Very impressed with the whole place, definitely value for money. We had food in the bar which was awesome & also had a full cooked English breakfast in the morning - spot on & plenty too. Excellent 😁

We didn’t find anything wrong with the place really. The shower wasn’t very powerful but it was ok to freshen up with.

Location was good. Close to the Arena. Food was good in restaurant and breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Although didn’t need to use the back door entrance due to getting back before pub closed, was a little confusing due to using the entrance near the kitchen and it being dark.slight damp smell in the bathroom.
