My stay at the bull exceeded all expectations! The amenities were simply perfect, with every little detail thoughtfully provided. I especially loved the lotion it was of great quality. The hot shower was rejuvenating, with excellent water pressure, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable for a great night’s sleep. The staff were so lovely and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. The restaurant downstairs was a gem, serving delicious meals in a cozy atmosphere. I also appreciated the well-stocked mini bar, which added so much convenience to my stay. This hotel has everything you need for a flawless getaway. I can’t wait to return!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Bull while for work, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into my double deluxe bedroom, I knew I was in for a treat. The bed was sumptuous, and the pillows were so comfortable that I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The decor of the pub/hotel was full of character, blending modern elegance with a classic charm. The shower room was incredibly modern and impeccably clean, making it a delight to freshen up. I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful scented toiletries provided, which meant I didn't even need to bring my own! Dinner was amazing .I started with the scallops, which were cooked to perfection, followed by the fish and chips served with a delightful curry sauce and the sweetest, tastiest mushy peas I’ve ever had. Each bite was a testament to the chef's talent and attention to detail. Breakfast the next morning was equally fabulous. The freshly baked bread was a treat, and the Full English breakfast was hearty and delicious—exactly what I needed to kickstart my day. The setting of the dining area was charming, with a real fireplace that added a warm ambiance to the quaint English pub atmosphere, making it feel rich with history. Overall, my stay at The Bull exceeded all expectations. The combination of luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made it a truly special experience. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired, and I can’t wait to return, hopefully for leisure next time rather than work! Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

The staff were very busy but they tried to be helpful and attentive. The rooms were beautiful and very well equipped they had provided everything one might need. The food was excellent. The village of Ditchling is very pretty.

It was super busy when we arrived and the staff were run off their feet. The place was heaving. There was no where quiet where hotel guests could relax except on the beds in their rooms. Everywhere downstairs we tried to sit we were moved off because it was going to be used until eventually our booked table for dinner was ready. It was not cheap and I expected to have somewhere downstairs I could sit and relax in a comfortable chair.

The room had excellent facilities and was very clean. Large comfortable beds, well-stocked mini bar and snacks. The room was not air conditioned as may be expected in an historic inn, yet a fan was provided in the room to keep us cool on a warm summer's day/evening. Breakfast was also good.

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding in the village and the location was perfect. The room rates are however in my opinion expensive for a room above a pub; on would pay less in some 5* hotels, but I imagine they justify the cost on the convenience.

Quirky but luxurious. Lots of individuality and lovely touches. Having an actual radio was a great surprise. Big comfy bed, nice big towels (hate it when towels are too small) and robes Liked that the toiletries were refillable, so sustainable but still quality products Very indulgent mini bar and snack offering. And a Nespresso coffee machine…always a winner! All the staff were excellent, every interaction was friendly and welcoming

I personally have no complaints, but it is a pub, so noisy until just after 11pm

The double room was well laid out and comfortable. A kettle and Nespresso coffee machine were provided with a small bottle of real milk which was a nice thought. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast and all the staff we spoke to on check-in, at dinner, and for breakfast were very friendly.

There was a tray of goodies in the room (crisps, drinks, nuts etc.) but no indication of whether these were complimentary, or the individual costs. It would have been nice to know!

Everything was great and stylishly furnished, a lot of snacks and a bar full of drinks. Our windows looked out on a quiet street. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

I wish windows could be opened wider. It was hot during the night and the provided portable aircon only circulated hot air inside the room, the aircon wouldn't be needed if windows could be opened for more than 10cm.

Such wonderful staff. Gorgeous pub area with sharing tables and a huge fire. Room was beautiful with a selection of goodies to make anyone smile. Dinner amazing. Local and seasonal and breakfast the best I’ve ever had.

Only thing was the road noise which started early. If you had the window shut I’m Sure it would have been fine but I have to have the window open so that’s my failing really.

A fantastic pub, packed with character and atmosphere and rooms that were luxurious, spacious, immaculate and comfortable. I travel a lot for work and this was hands down the best place I have stayed in the UK & Ireland. I will absolutely be staying again.

Nothing... a perfect stay!
