Dog-friendly accommodation in a village conveniently placed for Dundee and Perth. The room was large, but fairly basic. We had a ground-floor room opening directly into the courtyard - ideal for our dog. We purchased a picnic supper from the local shop. The outstanding part of the visit was Sam. He checked us in on Sat afternoon (in between manning two bars), and he checked us out the following morning (in between dealing with emptying rooms) - smiling, courteous and helpful. He is a credit to the hotel.
As mentioned above, the room was basic - but suitable for an overnight stay.

The location is good, only a short drive out of Dundee. I was probably the last guest to arrive and had no problem parking a large van. The room was quite large with a very comfortable bed - I had a great night's sleep. Would have been happy to stay for longer.
Longforgan is a small village so there aren't many facilities nearby. The room was perhaps a little on the chilly side, but the outdoor temperature had dropped quite sharply.

Large spacious room on the ground floor with enough room for the several bike be brought with us to participate in the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships nearby in Perth. The Coaching Inn also had a secure storage space for bikes which we saw other guests using, but we just kept ours in our room. The Inn has a restaurant with some excellent food (had chefs specials on the first night) and on our last day we also experience the full Scottish breakfast, which fortified us for the long drive home. The staff and owner were very friendly and made a great effort to welcome us and make us feel at home. The local area is great for cycling and I was able to have several good rest days before participating in the World Championships. Overall a good experience at a great price.
The decor in the room is a little dated and the light above the bathroom sink/mirror did not work. On the first night there was quite a bit of noise outside (not from fellow guest).

Very kind and supportive host. Very good Scottish breakfast. The atmosphere is friendly and homely. Thanks so much for making my stay comfortable. There is free car park with easy access. There is calm village Longforgan, very peaceful and quiet place.
Need to have your own car or rental car or taxi because it's village very near Dundee.

I was greeted by the landlord when I arrived, super friendly and I felt at ease as I was on my own. (Well I had my dog with me) The food was absolutely delicious 😋 I had the ribeye, and it was cooked to perfection 👌 Room was clean and tidy and a very comfy bed Nice friendly staff all round, well done guys you made me feel at home, I will definitely stay with you again, and next time I might bring the hubby 😀
I can't find fault at all!

Just loved my room. So clean and comfortable. Had dogs with me. Staff could not have been friendlier towards them. (Could even work the radiators!) The small touches meant much - Elephant folded towels, folded toilet paper(!), plenty tea & coffee & toiletries. (Forgot to tell staff hairdryer not working. Room 116 - not a catastrophe!!)
Wee bit disappointed with evening meal but would not stop us coming back and ordering something different.

I loved the atmosphere, the charm of the old building. The reception is right at the bar. My room was upstairs the pub. Loved the old stairs and floors noises. It has seen some years and everything is oldfashioned. Even the bathroom, but it was clean. Spent a calm night. Had delicious dinner, a nice breakfast and the staff was very friendly. I felt welcomed. Its a calm city and you have a nice landscape surrounding.

they gave us a disabled person room as my wife could not manage up the stairs, the room was perfect for us ,i suppose it could do with a coat of paint and a general tidy up and a wee bit of TLC,but covid has hit these hotels very hard and they have come through the other side , the food and drink prices were very reasonable, the outside area could do with a tidy up , mainly caused by customers discarding fag ends rather than putting them in the bins
a general tidy ,and a coat of paint , and the toilet was not secured to the wall

The friendly and homely atmosphere. The convenience, ground floor so no stairs for me, as a smoker there were ashtrays provided and a covered area. Restaurant and bar available. It was good value for money. The staff and owners were very helpful
A bit rustic however for such an old building not too bàd, a bit of outside maintenance is needed
