Spacious, comfortable, stylish refurbishment. Lots of soft furnishings including lovely carpets instead of the usual hard flooring that seems to be everywhere nowadays and makes for a noisy ambiance. Plenty of parking. Good value and well located for our visit. Bedrooms well equipped, warm and in very good condition.

Very little. Staff were a bit disengaged when we arrived and we waited for a while to be checked in. Breakfast was good although there was no yoghurt or honey as advertised to accompany the fruit platter - apparently the had run out! Our standard bedrooms were in the small side and it’s while since we’ve slept in standard size double bed.

I booked three rooms for five guests and each room was absolutely beautiful, they were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order, the choice of cereals, fruit juice very good. We booked a table for each night of our stay for our evening dinner, the menu on offer was very good and the food was tasty, well presented and good value.

I cannot think of a single thing any of us didn’t like, we asked a staff member about places to visit and they went out of their way with suggestions and even gave us directions, we were really happy with all aspects of our stay

It was vert nice place, on arriving we met lovely ladies who were very helpful. First impression was that it was very pleasant place to stay. There were nice clean very warm room, fantastic shower room. Tea, coffee available with a beautiful kettle. Relaxing atmosphere. Thank you very much to all staff for doing the good job

Unfortunately we couldn't find out how to turn on a coffee machine. The other think it would be nice to have filter coffee morning time , not instant one, but it is very small things, they didn't spoil the pleasant relaxing atmosphere.

The mixture of traditional and contemporary décor. Modern mirrors with touch facilities were a nice feature in the both the bathroom and bedroom. The large walk-in shower. The general decoration of the hotel gave a good atmosphere to the hotel. Very friendly staff at breakfast.

The bathroom was too hot and the temperature could not be controlled. Slightly overcooked 'Full English'. The staff in the restaurant in the evening need more training to improve customer service. The service wasn't bad but could be greatly improved.

A lovely coaching inn, restored to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food is superb and very generous. It is within walking distance of Sherwood Forest. An excellent base for exploring the area.

Our room wasn't very large and the bed was a small double. I should have booked one of the larger rooms.

Location was perfect for attending a wedding at Inkershill Grange Farm (£12 taxi - 10mins). Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was really nice - cereal, yogurts, juice tea & coffee self service, hot breakfast cooked to order. Evening meal in the pub was lovely & reasonably priced. Room spacious, tea & coffee station, good long wardrobe. Decor a little tired but okay. Bathroom functional but basic. All round good for the price!

Room a little tired (No full length mirror anywhere - not something I'd usually look out for but when getting ready for a wedding, would have been useful in room or guest corridors.)

A warm welcome. Nice clean room and good clean shower, which looks recently refurbished. Well stocked tea, coffee etc. Quiet and restful inside the room. Not disturbed by other residents. Large car park. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Ideal location for our evening event. Fascinating building. Love the history. Very pretty village.

The hotel is on a busy road so a little noisy late and early. However, the hotel can’t help that and we chose it for the location. It was not a problem for us but there are a lot of stairs which might pose a problem for a some guests.

The lady who booked us in the morning of our arrival was very helpful as we‘d travelled from Germany she kindly allowed us to book in early, which was was very grateful for 🙏🏽 We loved everything about our stay at here from the location, to the staff, the food & our room.

Nothing we throughly enjoyed our stay here.

The Manager, John, was very accommodating when we realized that the bed in room 7, was very uncomfortable for my partner, who has a bad back. John, moved us to room 14 which had the most comfortable bed in the hotel according to him. Though the bathroom was just down the hall from our room, the bed was super comfy, which made up for this fact. The staff were all very friendly, we ate dinner at the restaurant, simple fare but yummy! Served very quickly too. The included Breakfast was extensive and delicious and served with a smile ! Thanks Dukeries :)

Make all beds the same quality so that everyone can sleep as well as we did .

The place is absolutely lovely. Recently refurbished and the attention to detail is impressive. There's even a little motion sensor night light in the bathroom that comes on so you don't have to put the light on if you get up in the night. Beautiful decor, very tastefully done. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

Absolutely nothing. 😄
