Beautiful property, dog friendly and parking in front. Thoughtfully designed and furnished cottage, with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. High quality fixtures and fittings. Extremely comfortable beds and great shower. Only a short stroll to lovely recently reopened village pub, that is also dog friendly. Very quiet location next to farm. Easily accessible village, perfect stopover on long journey to Scotland. Would definitely return and recommend. After long journey lovely to arrive to lamps on music playing and heating on, very cosy warm cottage, didn’t notice the freezing temperatures outside.

A STUNNING cottage in a lovely location, tucked away and so peaceful. We were off to a local wedding and wanted a boujee alternative to a hotel, what I will say is that it wasn’t far off the price of a hotel but was absolutely gorgeous so we hit the jackpot! Super comfy beds, refreshments perfect (fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee etc), very very clean, classy decor. We had a lovely evening in the lounge with cocktails. This may sound strange but.. the shower water pressure was SO GOOD and there were loads of fluffy towels. Makes a big difference when someone pays attention to the little details. Thank you very much!

Beautiful and well-equipped, with some really interesting books to read. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Not really their fault, but there are no shops in the village (the CostCutter shown on Google maps doesn’t exist, and Google have been told but not changed their records). Hence if you don’t have a car with you (we were walking) the nearest place to eat is 20 minutes away.

Clean and well equipped property. All facilities were in good condition and a pleasure to use. Great that there was the option of bath and shower as our preference differs in that respect. Bedrooms are welcoming and comfortable. The property is tastefully decorated to a high standard.

In the evenings it was quite cool to sit in the lounge, even though it was summer.

The decor was gorgeous, the area was so peaceful and the fact is was pet friendly was the cherry on top. All the little added touches such as the basic amenities for food and drink was great to walk into. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

The only slight is that we needed a full length mirror as we were going to wedding and needed to check ourselves out haha. But it’s not at all a criticism of the property!

The cottage was excellent. Extremely well kept and with all the facilities you need. The location was so quiet with off road parking for two cars.The bedrooms were an excellent size and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge spacious.You will not find a better cottage to stay in.

Beautiful property in quiet location. Very pretty garden. Central to be able to do lots of walking penne way and perfect stop on the way further into the Lake District.

Would be even better when the pub that is being refurbished is open so you could walk to a pub.

Amazing cottage, such a real treat to spend Christmas here. Harry and the team were amazingly helpful and dressed the house for Christmas for us which was a lovely touch. Cottage is 5 star, modern, clean and inviting. I would not hesitate to visit again in a heartbeat. Wanted to come back for Christmas 2023 but they are fully booked!

We have stayed in a good number of places in this country and this is by far the best! Location, presentation, cleanliness and overall an absolutely fabulous cottage to stay. I would have no hesitation with recommending to anyone who wanted to stay in this area. Fantastic!!

We absolutely loved everything. The cottage is so beautiful both inside and out. Tastefully decorated, so much thought and consideration of the potential needs of visitors. Exceedingly comfortable beds, spotlessly clean throughout. Delightful garden and seating both at the back and front of the cottage for enjoying total relaxation. We didn’t meet the owner personally however instructions were provided for use of kitchen appliances etc., and a telephone number should assistance be needed by visitors during their stay - with the exception of those for the microwave which was a different make to that for which the instruction book was provided). I hasten to add that this is not a complaint at all - just an observation which may be of importance to any future visitors but did not impact on our stay at all. We would love to visit Wybergh Cottage again in the future and would not hesitate to highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.
