The hotel is right beside the train station, although you could not hear these. It is within walking distance to the main shopping areas and local bars and restaurants. The welcome at reception was great. No fuss to get checked in. The room was light and airy. Really spacious. I particularly liked that there was no mirror facing the bed. The bed was really comfortable, room at a decent temperature and the toilet was bigger than expected. When we came back in the evening staff let us get on and do our own thing. Checking out was easy. Staff there to take our key. We were able to leave our heavy bags there while we went shopping. Fantastic.

Breakfast. Yes they had cereals, continental and a selection of hot foods. But. By the time you get your hot food and then the toast (when you find the toaster) your hot food is cold. I had to ask for breakfast teabags, again with hot food going cold this was disappointing. Staff were not so helpful. I watched other clients have difficulty in finding everything they wanted, a person in that area would be beneficial ( as there were four at the reception part one could have been assigned the breakfast area.)

We loved the Glasgow themed decor, laid back feel and friendly staff. The choice of seating areas around the bar and pool table was excellent. The attention to detail in the bar area and fun decor kept us entertained as we were constantly spotting new pictures or items. Even a row of umbrellas at the door for guests to use was a perfect touch for a Glasgow visit! Our room had everything we needed and was clean & comfortable. The stay was quiet and restful. Breakfast was leisurely with great coffee and a good selection of food and drink. The free lockers allowed us to leave luggage after check-out so we could hit the shops. The location was good with just a 10min walk to the heart of the shopping area via George Square. It was only a 7min walk into the bars and restaurants in the Merchant City area.

Lovely hotel with a comfortable room and nice bathroom. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good location; a 10 minute walk from Queen Street Station and Buchanan Street subway station. There is a multi story car park a 5 minute walk away which charged us £6 per 24 hours (Duke Street Car Park). There was also an area near the hotel entrance where we were able to stop in the car to unload our bags.

The coffee available at breakfast wasn't good - but there are many cafes near the university!

There was a house gin cocktail on arrival, which was an unexpected nice touch. It was a modern, clean place with a chilled out mood with table football, pool table and board games available for the kids. Definitely a more exciting place to stay with kids than the usual 'formal' hotels. The car park was a short walk away also which was ideal.

The shower was broken but maybe it happened just before we visited and staff were not aware. The bathroom door slider was also broken. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the car park, with electric charging. This has little to do with Moxy but worth noting for other electric car drivers. The charging bays were on the 2nd basement level and I could not get any mobile signal. So it was a matter of running upstairs and then down to check it all was fine. But at 40p / kwh for slow charging you may want to consider other options.

The decor downstairs and in the room was great, staff very friendly and parking close by 'Duke Street Car Park' for £5 for 24 hours is a great deal. The Hotel is only a 15-minute walk (or you can grab a train from High Street 30 sec walk) from Buchanan Street and has an Aldi, Spar(near the car park) and Tesco Express close by. The location was perfect from the Great Scottish Run - Half Marathon, will be back next year for sure. The checkout time for 12 is great, and the food was great, also had a decent pint of St mungo's lager for after the run!

Lack of places to put my clothes, could do with some storage or more hanging room/space.

We booked The Moxy as it looked the best hotel for a night in Glasgow as we were going to the Barrowlands so the location seemed perfect and the Hotel looked right up our street. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, had a complimentary cocktail and went to our room to get ready. The room was perfect for a night's stay, the size was fab, the shower was great and there was plenty of space to put your luggage etc. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy, we both slept well. We played Foosball, had a game of pool and ate pizza which was delicious, the decor was funky and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Next time we stay in Glasgow we will be staying at Moxy Merchant City for sure.

There was nothing we didn't like. We couldn't fault the staff, the room or the food. We were really happy with the whole experience. 5🌟 Well done and thanks for the memories.

loved the sassy/retro decoration. Shower was awesome and was very clean.

The fact that I could not make Cash payments for drinks etc, Its absolutely terrible that we are forced to use our debit/credit cards etc. I had already taken cash out my bank for purchases over the couple of days away from home, if they had allowed cash payments I probably would have bought more drinks at the bar. It is discriminating against certain people, forcing people like myself into using our cards when we can't/don't want to work that way.

The Moxy is quirky and fun! Loved the decor. The room was superb and modern. The shower OMG amazing pressure. Please can you tell me about the pillows you have. I have had a bad neck and can’t get comfy normally to sleep but your pillows supported my neck so well. I slept good. Staff friendly, the complimentary drink was a nice touch too. Very friendly feel good vibe.

Walking up the road and seeing the exterior I stopped in my tracks! The scaffolding. I did read the message notifying me of that. But I didn’t expect it to be so extensive. But it was fine. The interior made up for what’s going on and I know essentially maintenance has to take place.

Staff were very attentive, chatty and welcoming. The overall shared spaces were excellent and the welcome cocktail was a great touch. Had a great chat with the bartender on Saturday night who made a brilliant raspberry espresso martini. The location is perfect for getting around the city and the £5 all day parking round the corner was amazing and so handy for us. The hotel wasn’t too busy so breakfast was nice and chilled.

Room was clean and as described however there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke, possibly from the previous guest. This wasn’t enough to distract from the overall standard of the room and we maybe noticed it more as we are non-smokers. The room also got very hot in the middle of the night and we couldn’t quite work out how to turn down the heating or turn up the air con however we were able to open the window in the room.

- Bed sheets were quite scratchy - Booking stated parking available but no parking available and had to go to a nearby carpark costing £6 per day - Heating positioned to 21 degrees - only option to cool was to turn off and open slither of window so didn’t cool down very well - Breakfast expensive for the options that were available
