Nice clean and quiet bedroom, hot shower and general vibe was nice. Helpful staff on front desk. Good facilities, would have liked to have tried the gym. Overall very modern and imaginative decor. Liked it a lot.

The breakfast was as best mediocre, poor quality food, unfilled dishes and instant scrambled egg , rubbery and greasy haggis , all rather poor. Lack of other choice except syrupy fuit and yoghurt. and uninspired cereal, toast etc. I was attending a conference . The mid morning coffee ran out before getting any, no refill , no biscuits. Very dry lunch which was commented on by all and generally very lacklustre catering.

The location is spot on for going to anything at the Ovo! Literally a wee toddle over the water and you're there! Bus stop right outside that take you into the city or can taxi it super easily. Parking was great and huge car park so no drama in arriving! The vibe of the place is great. We were going to see Slipknot and lots of other metal heads but mixed with football supporters and Christmas shoppers. Was so friendly and chill! The facilities were great, the pool especially! We stayed in the Club room and absolutely kicked the arse out of the use of the pool, sauna and steam room. All the staff were lovely and the night security/ porters were absolute banter!

The rooms were sooooo hot. Even with the heating down as low as we could go and window open. The noise was unbelievable from down stairs. What we didn't know is that the hotel has a "bring a party" events on and the place was wild over the time we stayed. We're all for a party but a cheeky heads up would have been nice. The walls of the room are like paper but that's to be expected. Through the wall to us had a very lovely stay 🤣 The restaurant is pretty dear for what it is, as is the bar but we're probably used to old manny pubs where we are!

We've stayed in Village Hotels over many years mainly in Manchester area and loved them do when we had the chance to stay in Glasgow it was a no-brainer. We were huge impressed from the minute we came in, from decor and Reception to the rooms and leisure facilities. However the slight downside was the Buffet breakfast we tad to look for someone at the desk and we found the layout of the food a bit haphazard and unfortunate the food itself although good quality and plenty of it, was a bit on the cold side. Overall however this would in no way prevent us from returning 👍

As above the breakfast was the only letdown- the dining room was not busy so could have perhaps expected a little more...

1st time staying at Villiage as we were going to a show in the Armedillo, and it was perfect! Super busy place , we had booked a Double room but upon check in we were kindly given an upgrade to a room with 2 beds and free access to the leisure facilities. Room was large and very very comfortable, beds comfy, room was nice and warm on arrival, huge tv on the wall and lovely bathroom. We had some drinks in the bar before going out, again busy but lovely atmosphere. We did not get a chance to go for a swim but we can't wait too return and spend more time in the hotel. There is also a starbucks across from reception. See you again soon 😊

I really liked the feel of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff both at reception and at the gym/pool. It was nice having a bar on site though the food options were not very healthy. The pool was a really nice facility to have, and I enjoyed doing some lengths, the staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean and really nicely thought out with excellent amenities and everything in good working order. I would stay again and recommend it.

I would like to have seen some alternative egg options and more variety of yoghurts and granola or other varied healthy breakfast options. The meat was of poor quality and spoiled it a bit, especially with our responsibility towards climate change. There was, however plenty of good standard cereals, nice juice, fried mushrooms/haggis/beans. average/poor toast. It would have made the stay feel even more worth it for a better quality breakfast. Breakfast was not worth the extra money in my opinion

Room was good, comfortable bed and clean, great location and liked the Starbucks on site. Didn't have breakfast. Staff were mainly really good too.

Could not get a receipt for my stay, when I checked out I was offered it to be emailed which i accepted and after about 40 mins, it had not come through, I went back to reception and was told it comes from Booking.com. I have looked on the app and Booking.com say it should have come from the hotel (which has been the case for all of my stays) I have messaged the property and hoping to get it sorted today

Ease of check-In Lovely staff members at reception, the bar, and breakfast host Blanche and other workers were very pleasant. Nothing was any trouble for them . Called us a taxi, etc very informative,. Very approachable, and friendly. Hearing pipers and drummers outside as they rehearsed, I know that was a one off haha. But really enjoyed it. Rooms clean smelled lovely. Love the ESPA toiletries Breakfast was outstanding Pillows very good and comfortable bed had a great sleep. Room temperature was great, nice and cool for me perfect.

I forgot my swimsuit. No biscuits in room

This hotel is in a fab location, just a 5 minute walk across the river from the Hydro/SECC. It is very accessible by bus or taxi, with a bus stop for both directions right outside the hotel. We chose to walk from the city centre along the river, it was a nice 20-30 minute walk with plenty to look at along the way. There is a Starbucks inside which was great to have so handy. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and down to earth. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar/restaurant area looks really nice. We didn't use the health club facilities in the hotel but if we were back for a longer stay, we definitely would. The room itself was comfortable, you could adjust the temperature and there were plenty of USB and electric sockets available. The lighting would be better if it could be made brighter but it didn't impact on us that much.

There is only one lift (that we saw), which meant there were delays at times in the lift arriving. Also if the lift door starts closing as you enter it, the door will hit you before opening again. Another guest commented on having the same experience when this happened to me. The iron in the room was covered in dust. The shower looked a bit dirty around the drain. There were some wall-juddering bangs from the next door room. Other than that it was a great stay.

Staff in all areas we used were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff were so friendly to our 3 year old grandchild and accommodated her needs with generosity.

The breakfast was disappointing and expensive for what was on offer. The cooked breakfast did not have vegan options available. There were no fried eggs available and the scrambled eggs had obviously been in the warm serving dish for too long and was not very appetizing. There were few options if you did not want to eat a cooked breakfast. The fruit salad was the poorest I have experienced.

Room a good size and very quiet - didn't hear any other guests at all and had an excellent nights sleep. Great selection of foods for breakfast. All staff very polite and helpful. Excellent location to stay and attend concert at the Ovo hydro. Easy to drive to and plenty of parking.

minor quibbles - would have liked someone on reception when I arrived but I did message for help and they arrived quickly and were very helpful - I'll know what to do next time... and only other minor thing was the shower wasn't very powerful - it was a good temperature though and did the job!
