Set within a lovely quiet area of Inverness, short drive from City centre, on arrival we were instantly made to feel so welcome with wonderful friendly, attentive staff. We had 2 suites in the annexe, rooms were extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast in conservatory was excellent on all 3 mornings. Christmas Day lunch was amazing, the food was plentiful and of exceptional quality, again all the staff were so friendly and attentive. With hotel being quite small it had a very intimate feeling, felt at ‘home’ throughout whole trip. Staff were the most efficient I’ve ever seen, for a very busy festive period nothing was an effort to them. Special thanks to Michelle & Caleb who’s friendly demeanour and efficiency enhanced our memorable family Christmas. Would not hesitate to return in future.

Requires some minor paint touch ups / carpets cleaned in places.

Inverness Lochardil House was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Scotland. We stayed in a family room in the adjacent house. We liked the castle, historic feel and appreciated that it as clean, comfortable and charming. There was a tub and a shower in a spacious bathroom. The beds were comfortable. There were blackout curtains that helped since the sun set so late and rose so early. The service was excellent. We were out touring late one day and the restaurant was closed but they made us the most delicious soup and bread that they brought up to our room to enjoy. It was reasonably close to the airport and train station but far enough away to feel very relaxed. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning in the restaurant. We would definitely recommended anyone stay here. Thank you!

If I had to pick something, the dinner at the restaurant was a little pricey, but for the convenience it was worth it.

Staff were very smiley, friendly, welcoming. My room was comfortable, bed was great, slept well. Tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, bath, nice toiletries, ironing board and iron in the cupboard in room, t.v. Nice view. Peaceful area. Breakfast was tasty. Lots of variety. Lovely old building. Lots of parking, if you are driving. It's a nice walk into town, if you are on foot.

For breakfast, I had eggs benedict on both mornings, one day I got 2 eggs and muffins, the next I got 1. Not sure if they were running out?! I was just a bit confused. No problem, I ate a few pancakes to make up for it. :)

Location is about 5 minutes from city center. It’s also close to many sights near Inverness. Staff went over and above in service: Michelle & Molly ( reception), Andrew, Sam, Margo & Ruaridh (dining). Huge, nicely furnished King room in the newer building (not in the historic part). Very comfortable bed, large attractive bathroom. Quiet, peaceful property in an upscale, residential neighborhood. We opted to enjoy the cozy bar followed by dinner in the glass enclosed restaurant all three nights we were at the hotel. Food was outstanding!

Liked everything.

The main house and grounds are beautiful. We made a last minute booking and were able to get the last room available in the Garden Wing. This was set up for guests with mobility requirements so the room was very spacious. It was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was enormous. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The dinner (extra) and cooked breakfast ( included) were delicious.

It was on the more expensive side, for hotels of the same high quality.

The location is very nice, in a residential area with lots of greenery. Breakfast was great with the warm food served individually.

The key cards don't work properly and we had to go down to the reception twice to get them fixed. Check-in was not smooth even though we had already checked in online. We had to wait 20 minutes at the unmanned reception desk as the (only)receptionist had to show each guest to his room, had a group of 6 before us. Probably considered as an extra touch to the service but not to the guests waiting in the queue.

Excellent breakfast in sky-filled greenhouse dining area. Enjoyable 20 minute walk along river into town. Helpful staff and overall nice amenities in modest but nice room. Appreciated the option to bring in take-out for dinner and have place setting provided in lounge. They provided maps of downtown Inverness useful for walking around (You can't really drive/park downtown.) An ideal location for taking day-trips all around the area!

Minor suggestions: Need to enhance decor details and add pillows for seating comfort in common areas. They also need to put a little effort into the very plain garden area so the view can be appreciated from the delightful greenhouse restaurant.

The location was great. Breakfast was amazing. The staff during breakfast was great.

The Internet in the annex, where our room was located, was almost unusable. When we talked with the staff twice about it, they said that we should connect while in the main building first, then it would work fine. We tried that, it didn’t work. We received the same response the next day when we asked about it again. They never tried to fix it or address the issue.

I stayed about a week at this lovely hotel located in a residential area outside of Inverness. The fact that it was not downtown and I did not have a car made me walk to and from town each day which meant I saw leafy, quiet areas I would not have otherwise seen and strolled along the river each day which was just beautiful. Staff was incredibly nice. Changed me from the external house to the main building which was much cozier. And breakfast was just outstanding - think eggs and salmon, fruit and clotted cream, porridge with honey and cream, among other options!

Could vacuum the stairs a bit more.

The hotel is ideally situated, making it easy to access key attractions. The staff is exceptionally friendly, ensuring a welcoming stay. The breakfast is delicious and offers a good variety to start the day right. Overall, a pleasant and convenient choice for travelers.

While the location and service were excellent, the room felt a bit dated, and the entire building could use some refreshing. The décor and facilities show signs of wear, which detracts from the overall experience.
