Ballifeary House, on Ballifeary Road, was nicely close to the city centre and also close to work I had to see to while in town which was ideal. The B&B was lovely, owner was welcoming and friendly, bedroom tho' small was more than adequate, ensuite was great and roomy, the whole place was exceptionally clean which is, believe it or not, a unique bonus nowadays! Breakfast was fantastic - beautifully cooked. This home is exceptional!
N/A ....well, maybe just the price via Booking.com for was the only off point. I had to be in town at short notice, so despite expense, it was unique to get somewhere as perfect as Ballifeary House!

The breakfast included a mix between hot and cold food. Whilst a full traditional breakfast wasn’t available the hot breakfast food was of good quality and served quickly. The eggs were golden yolked which is a great bonus for me as I love good quality eggs. The buttermilk pancakes were light and fluffy. The breakfast tables, side boards in the hallway and in the dining room were fresh and a welcome addition. Fraser the host was very helpful and welcoming giving good advice on local places of interest.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

I loved how bright and clean the room was, there was a multi plug block which also had USB sockets as well as the same on the wall. The shower was a good pressure and the room lovely and warm. The cold shower in the morning was super cold which i also loved. There was a note at the entrance for when i arrived as it was late evening and there was a lovely personalized letter with initial welcome and info in which was a lovely touch. There was also ample information regarding everything about my stay. I liked the Breakfast sheet as well although i didn't actually make use of the option. I was only there to sleep as i was visiting my son in Buckie so was out most the day but Fraser made the effort to catch me to check everything was ok and see if i needed anything which was lovely, said if i needed anything to not hesitate to let them know. The bed in my room was kind of firm which i loved too. All in all a great experience and i would definitely stay here again, in fact know i will for sure.

The building itself is gorgeous and there's a beautiful garden in front. The room was nice, and the breakfast was great and taken very well care of. The host gave us lots of suggestions on where to go. Also the location is really good. It's quiet, but close enough to the centre to walk.
For me personally, I like to sleep in a darkened room, and the room has beige/yellow curtains, so there's light coming in when the sun rises. Even with a sleeping mask I noticed. But I know I'm being quite specific here. Also, be aware that for breakfast you need to choose a time slot between I think 7:20 and 8:40, so sleeping in isn't really an option if you want breakfast. I guess most people are travelers like us that want to leave early anyways, but if you're not, it's good to know.

Everything was superb! From the moment I walked in I was captivated by the elegance and charm of Ballifeary. The entire place was immaculately clean.. proper.. and inviting- inside & out. Even with a last minute booking, Fraser not only accommodated my request, but made the whole evening easy with dinner recommendations… as well as quite a bit of knowledge and information for my travels going forward while in Scotland. Don’t hesitate to book at this wonderful B&B.. did I mention the breakfast was genuinely amazing!? (You likely won’t need lunch.) I never write reviews, but had to convey how pleasing my stay was. Will be returning the next time I’m in town. Fraser and the guesthouse is simply top tier!
The only thing I regret is that I couldn’t stay awhile longer.

Highly recommend a stay at Ballifeary House. Fraser was lovely and gave us great recommendations for places to eat, how to get around, etc. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The house itself is idyllic, the neighborhood felt safe and it was easily walkable from the Inverness city center.

The breakfast was made every morning with fresh ingredients and was outstanding! Fraser was nothing was helpful. He suggested all of our pubs for the 2 evenings we spent there. The room was SO comfortable and so clean. We got a lovely view of the street and homes across the way. We were an east walk from the city center of Inverness with a beautiful walk along the water. I couldn’t recommend this place more :)
Everything was perfect!

I absolutely loved my stay and hope that I get to return in the future. It was the perfect location from Downtown Inverness (about a 10-15 minute walk), the room I stayed in was perfectly clean, cozy and comfortable. The host gave me great suggestions about things to do. Breakfast was delicious! Having free parking was also a big plus. Loved everything about my stay and felt very safe as a solo, female traveler.
Nothing, it was a perfect stay.

Beautiful place in a quiet street, very close to the city centre. Fraser was an amazing host, he was very welcoming and gave us great tips for things to do in the area that we would have never known about otherwise. The breakfast was delicious and prepared with a lot of care. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a lot of attention to detail. Highly recommend, we would to stay here some time again!
