Evening meal (salmon steak) was delicious and well presented. Breakfast was generous and top quality with plenty of choice. All the staff were attentive and efficient. The bedroom and dining room was warm and cosy. A lovely peaceful location handy for bus stop and beach.

My first view of the side of the hotel (possibly an annexe) as I came from the bus stop was a bit off-putting, with peeling paint on the window frames, and it made me anticipate that the hotel would be a bit shabby and run down. But this couldn't have been further from the truth once I walked round to the front entrance: everything about my stay exceeded all expectations!

Room, breakfast, staff, location

No mirror over the dressing table. Had to use the one where kettle was, deep into an alcove, Booked table in the conservatory in the restaurant on the Monday night but it was closed. We were crammed into the small bar with enough other people to have made the conservatory full. It was cramped, too bright and little atmosphere. The waitress said she had sent the staff home as they were busy the night before with a coach party and another was booked for the following evening. We were left with inferior service in an unsuitable bar. What made us second class to the coach party? I bet we paid a lot more than them! In the service industry the customer comes first and you staff up correctly. Not good enough.

Lovely old building with modern touches throughout and very cosy. Breakfast was amazing and made to order as well as all the extras you can go help yourself to. Had dinner at the mariner next door which is also a lovely good old fashioned proper pub with an open fire and restaurant at the side. Food was great, drinks are reasonably priced and just a really nice atmosphere. Definitely staying again.

Thought we were getting a bath in the ensuite but just had a shower, so know to request a room with a bath specifically next time. That being said the shower was also really great.

It felt luxurious, a real treat. We stayed in a suite, it was lovely to have extra space and a dressing room! We had a sea view. It was a very relaxing stay. The grounds are beautiful, we loved walking down to the summer house in the morning and watching the sea and the birds living in the vegetation of the dunes, the weather also made it idyllic. You can walk directly onto the beach from the hotel grounds and the beach is huge and sandy, perfect. We walked into Hunstanton, it's a fair distance but lovely in good weather. The hotel has a good restaurant, and there's a pub right next door for a change of venue. The hotel staff were lovely. We are definitely coming again, and even thinking of booking a self-catering garden apartment for a family get together. We recommend Le Strange Hotel.

The room was very hot, (the day temp had been in the 20's, so maybe understandable) though a fan was provided, it was noisy. In the early morning, with the windows open, the sounds of people talking was amplified beneath our room, because the acoustics of the building was such. Nothing can be done about that, other than making delivery people and staff aware.

At breakfast we were just told to find a table with breakfast for two and no information about anything. It was other guests who pointed out hot water came to you and toast and they would take your order for cooked breakfast !! Considering a lot of staff on and three around the breakfast check in point was a little impersonal and other guests told us they were given information about what was brought to the table ! I have stayed at many hotels and if it’s not obvious it’s always explained … staff at breakfast could have been more welcoming and informative.

The place was amazing, Christmas decorations were beautiful, staff were very professional and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Facilities were impeccable, clean and nest and everything you could think of. Beds were amazing, such comfort. Seaview was marvelous, even in the winter. And the food in the restaurant was divine and just really cool.

Nothing, everything was great! Simply fantastic.

Hotel was good value for money. Very easy to get to, and staff were lovely on checking in. Room was very clean with a lovely sea view. Comfortable bed and well stocked with teas and coffees. Noticed it was very quiet. Bathroom was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was amazing with everyone catered for from continental and full English severed. A lovely beach to walk along, within easy reach the other side of the carpark. This is a lovely hotel, and very quiet and comfortable. On my visit I never seen any children, just the older generation, which was a plus point. The decor is a bit dated, but it actually suits the hotel age, vibe and ambience. I will definitely stay again.

On my visit, there was nothing I didn't like.

Very quiet and comfortable room. The staff were really helpful, especially when I got lost trying to find my room like an idiot! Rooms very spacious for the price. Wi-fi excellent. Plenty of parking (don't be put off or frightened by the signs threatening parking fees and 'no overnight parking' in the hotel car park... apparently they do not apply to residents, even though the signs don't say that!)

The net curtains on the window cannot be pulled back, as they are attached to poles on which they cannot slide... even though there are perfectly good curtain rails to attach them to about 2 inches away from those poles which for some reason they are not on! My advice is to roll them up and tie a knot if you actually want some air! Be aware that the lift does not go to all second floor rooms.

Had a sea view in the original part of the hotel. Really nice clean room: not huge but big enough. This was obviously one large room which had been split into two some years ago as the nicely-decorated stud partition wasn't particularly good at stopping sound from the neighbouring room (if you know what I mean...) Food was great and the breakfast plentiful. Plenty of free guest parking and the beach is about a 2 minute walk down the path to the dunes. Can't wait to go back.. a lovely place to stay and relax

My first ever stay at the hotel and it was a pleasant experience. The staff at the reception and dining hall were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for me throughout my stay. Room was very large and immaculately clean. The bed was super comfortable and very cozy, I almost didn't want to get up the next day. Lots of parking onsite and a really amazing positioned hotel with uninterrupted views over the sea.

My only complaint was the bathroom. I stayed on a night where the temperature was freezing outside. The air vent was blowing cold air in and made the bathroom very cold.
