All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Ashley, in particular was a ray of sunshine on the rainy/gusty day we arrived. She answered questions enthusiastically and so warmly greeted us each time we walked back in. I had no idea just how close we were to Hampton Court--literally across the street! Yet we felt we were in a small village, just walking distance to some wonderful shops/restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, & the service great. We had fun such eating our breakfast on the banks of the Thames River, imagining what it must have been like sitting at the same location, centuries ago, watching all the activities of Henry the VIII's court.

At some point there could be a bit sprucing up here or there (but then again, this is the charm of older buildings). Living in an 18th century house, ourselves we loved the quirkiness of imperfect floors that occasionally creaked. Only mentioning this since not everyone appreciates the joy of older homes. However, I could imagine that nearly everyone who comes to this historic area already has an appreciation of history.

The atmosphere, the room features, the river flowing beneath were magical. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. I liked the multiple lamps around the room. I also got a top floor room as per my request, which I appreciated. It is a really nice small guesthouse brimming with its history. Ideal for a few days out of Central London, but still close. The semi-circular breakfast room was particularly enjoyable.

The staff attempted to charge a sort of deposit at check-in without first informing me, which I though was a cheap thing to do....I'm not sure if it is normal practice for these type of establishments in this part of the world to do. Check-out was a very slow process...probably the slowest I've had in years!

The attitude of the staff-excellent. so helpful whatever we asked. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel "special". - The food was very good.

very quiet bur hot room .we had a classic at the back of the hotel. Strangely, for a hotel of this quality, my pillows were so uncomfortable. I have never experienced this before in a hotel. The room was so dark that we had to have all the lights on whatever time of day. The room did not have a full length mirror which was disappointing as I was going to a wedding.

The reception staff were amazing…and I would like to make a special mention of the gentlemen looking after the parking and carrying bags to our room. He was very friendly and assisted us with our wheel chair. On hearing I might need assistance the reception warned us of the steps within the hotel and also gave us an upgrade which was amazing and much appreciated. Reduced tickets to Hampton Court were appreciated

Parking not guaranteed was a little worrying before we arrived but staff went out if their way to reassure us that we could always unload in front of the hotel if we needed to park elsewhere.

The room was very nice, cosy and clean. A wonderful place to get back to after a long day.

The breakfast was expensive and could've been better. The Brasserie also did not meet our expectations... maybe because we went on a Saturday night and it was packed with big groups of people but we felt like one of the waiters was not paying attention to our dietary requirements and was a bit distracted. 2 of the younger waiters were very good, attentive and friendly.

Lovely old property and it’s in a brilliant location. Our room opened onto a terrace which was nice as the rooms got quite warm but shame it’s used a a bit of storage area in parts.

Our room was clean but a little shabby which was disappointing for the price. Other rooms we saw ( as other family members were staying) were a lot better. Stained bathroom flooring in our room , shower was great though. Could get quite noisy from the room above but to be expected with the age of the property.

Beautiful decoration and style. Bed very comfortable.

No coffee machine in the room. Offered coffee pods but no machine which was unhelpful. Asked if they could just bring 2 Americano coffees instead which they did but then charged me for them. Completely unacceptable. The water pressure is very low so the shower dribbles on you. The room does not have a coffee table infront the sofa or side tables so no where to place drinks etc. Incredibly expensive for the size and quality of the room.

The location is within easy walking of the train station which is a quick 37 minutes to London Waterloo Station and directly across from Hampton Court Palace. Many good restaurant options and shops including vintage stores near by. Hotel staff were friendly. The decor and common areas are lovely and comfortable and garden courtyard right outside our room was a nice bonus space for coffee in the morning! Soaps and lotions were divine! We look forward to visiting again!

Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food on offer. However I am very disappointed that breakfast was not included in our booking. I have paid £25 on top of the room cost of £238.

As we we’re meeting with relatives for an engagement party at the hotel we found that complimentary tickets for Hampton Crt and brekfast was included in the room price of £238, so with the breakfast and entry tickets to Hampton Court it cost me an extra £65. Although I have used booking.com up until now I shall always now book direct.

Excellent location. Well maintained and very clean. Good heating.

Parking was a bit of a pain! Assured double parking by guests was “sorted”. Came out at 6.30am on Sunday to drive 250 miles and was just given keys to the car blocking me in. Night concierge couldn’t drive so I either moved the car myself or would have to wait until 9,00am for other staff. Driving a strange expensive car in the dark and rain is not pleasant!
