I like that there were plenty of refreshments, bread, jam, cheese, cereals etc. Also there were rules so you know exactly what was expected from you (the customer) and what you can expect from them (the service). I like also the ensuite shower room with toilet. The communal sitting room and kitchen.

I didn't like how I struggled locking my door because the locked was difficult to use. Past 10am (noise curfew time) took me a while to lock it and this was making a little noise because of it; a near neighbor came out and complained wasn't very happy. I was glad we were about to resolve the issue.

Easy to find, good information about entry, lovely room, good facilities, comfortable bed and pillows, spotlessly clean bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Nice scented shower gel, towels good quality. Shared Kitchen and lounge beautifully fitted out and decorated. Ideal spot for us, a little out of the centre so quiet although its on a busy road we were at the back overlooking a bit of a stream/river. Easy to walk into the main area and venue- The Drill.

Not a fan if the rainfall shower head, would be better for me if they'd added a second " normal" shower head but managed for the 1 night. Also the shower head caused an issue for my fella who at 6ft( so average height, and average build), struggled a little in the cubicle

The Tennyson was very clean and my room had all I needed. The other guests observed to quiet times requested in the instructions for the stay. On the positive side, my radiator wasn’t working so an electric one was quickly provided.

I thought there was parking, but there are only a few spaces and none are allocated to the single room I was in. Lucky there was on street parking nearby and I managed to get a space. I’d been to a gig and only arrived back around midnight so was pretty tired. Other people might find the noise of the traffic outside an issue though.

I have stayed twice at Tennyson which indicates that I am happy with the accommodation.

Because contact with the accommodation had to be sent via Booking.com it led to communication problems. I rang rhe telephone number many times to get my security code on the key safe and was told 2 or 3 times that it had been sent. This was true but Booking.com didn 't send it via a new email they attached it to a 9 day old email where I didn't think to look. So I had anxious moments wondering if I would be able to get into the unstaffed accommodation. Then the penny dropped. I wasn't alone here. A couple I met at breakfast also had problems with communications

Clean, decent sized room, good communication about how to get in, and an immediate response when I had a question. plenty of supplies for a light breakfast and hot drinks, communal area was clean and light and modern too. Across from a big park/common for some fresh air or walkable/near bus route into city centre. I didn’t hear any noise from other occupants.

Location does mean some traffic noise but earplugs were provided. Instructions about parking could have been clearer. Some rooms have allocated numbered parking spaces, others don’t have a space. On street parking nearby was easy enough though.

The breakfast provided was fantastic, had a range of options including yoghurt, toast, and beans, as well as some snacks. It had everything I needed for my stay. It operates by lock box which makes it easy to arrive at any time.

I personally had a great stay. There were a few little things that could use maintenance. For example, the bathroom door didn't really work and the bin lid was broken but these in no way diminished my experience. I was also on the bottom floor which had a window overlooking a main road so I had my blinds closed.

Lovely spacious, clean well kept room - bright, very comfy bed - great facilities- fridge in room was super helpful & lovely tea/coffee making station & some food items/biscuits were a lovely touch - plenty of space to store clothes - very comfy room - & also lovely shared kitchen was really handy too - my room came with marked parking bay which was great to get included parking & know I always had a space - easy walk into town so great location too

Only thing was check out was at 10am & hotel cleaning staff arrived at 9:50 just as I was trying to leave & blocked my car in - not sure why they wouldn’t wait to a little after check out (say 10:10am) but only had short wait before they moved van for me so I could leave

The room was spacious and clean, was a lovely surprise to see I had a bath too! The things in the fridge for breakfast were lovely too! Didn’t spend any time in the lounge but it looked like a lovely chill area, the kitchen was fab too

When I arrived the key to my room was not in the key box, after a phone call to the host this was soon rectified within an hour. I was in room 3 which was right on the main road, think some noise cancelling curtains would help block the noise out a little bit more and a keychain on the door into the bedroom would of been nice. I know the hotel was secure with a locked front door but as I was by myself I think it would of put my mind at ease abit more oh and a plug that fit in the bath properly would be nice too.

The ad says free parking but need to phone to book, however, once I had paid for the booking I received an email saying that the room didn’t have a parking space so i phoned up and was told I could park on the street. There’s double yellow lines outside the property so I had to park quite far down the road . Late check in (4pm) and early check out (10am) doesn’t leave much time to explore. I understand that the rooms need to be cleaned but maybe if they split it, top floor early check in and out then bottom floor late check in and out will give them time to clean.

Location was very good for where I had to travel to, also close to train station. Room was clean and comfy. Keys were easy to obtain. Communication via WhatsApp was adequate and speedy. Ensuite was nice. Overall, stay was comfortable.

Charging hotel prices, so expected hotel services. No hair dryer. Breakfast could've had more. There are local air bnbs that are much cheaper with earlier check ins. Check in time at Tennyson should be earlier than 4pm, although I was allowed to check in at 3pm.
