Iain and Tom were possibly the most delightful and accommodating hosts I have ever met! The food was absolutely amazing: they provided the best Scottish breakfast I have ever had, and the dinner by candlelight was so delicious. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything one could want or need. I swear they have thought of everything: binoculars to spot wildlife and look at the gorgeous scenery, chocolates on the night tables, homemade shortbread cookies, wonderful body products, a great selection of drinks, etc. They suggested hiking tours for me to do, and they were so helpful in many other ways. I was sad to leave! I would happily come back again, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to others.

Our hosts Tom and Iain couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond expectations to ensure our stay was perfect. We thought we had booked an evening meal but that wasn’t the case however, Iain produced a spectacular steak and mushroom pie and a cottage pie for us at short notice. The breakfast was superb, much thought had gone in to sourcing and supplying local produce and it was cooked to perfection. The accommodation was spotless throughout and we had everything we could possibly need in our room. There were thoughtful personal touches, home made shortbread and fresh fruit. Iain and Tom were the perfect hosts and Castle View was without doubt the best bed and breakfast, in the best location, that we have ever stayed in. We travelled there by motorcycle and the roads and views were second to none. We would highly recommend a stay here and we will certainly be returning.

Very clean and well maintained property in excellent location 5 mins from Mull ferry. Private car parking. Breakfast and Dinners were excellent. Host could not be faulted. went out of his way to be helpful. i.e. early breakfast (6.16am ) when we needed to catch the 7.00am ferry. on-suite shower/toilet room was very spacious. unexpected extras like a fridge in the room stocked with soft drinks and fresh milk, Glass of wine with the dinner, Alexa in room, USB charging ports in bedside lamps.

Nothing I can think of could be improved. Room was a little on the small side but you would not go here to spend time inside. Could maybe do with a tray to stand the kettle / mugs on. Just nit-picking really

Booked an overnight in this lovely B&B. Excellent hosting from Tom & Iain. On arrival we were shown to our room (King Room with seaview), all you could possibly need with some lovely added extras & what a view! Had a glass of wine in the front garden area, time to relax & take in that view. Took a walk round the small village & back for our evening meal which you can pre-book at an additional cost. Good choices on offer & all delicious. Great night's sleep, great shower in the morning followed by breakfast - nice variety of fruit juice, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would like to thank Tom & Iain for their hospitality.

My stay at this property was exceptional in every area. The hosts were positive, helpful and showed me around my room. The room was stocked with high-quality amenities (toiletries, home bakes, fruit, tea coffee machine, mini fridge with milk, juice, chocolate and crisps). This was the comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in; view from the room was beautiful and everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was a real highlight for me, it was restaurant standard with fresh, local produce. Everything during my stay far exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to stay again.

There was nothing that I didn't like about this property.

After a great day on Mull and Iona, my wife and I took the ferry over to Lochaline and the Castle View. We were greeted warmly and offered a cold beer and lounge chairs overlooking the harbor and castle. It was a perfect moment. Even their dog Whiskey hung out with us. We walked down the road to the Whitehouse Restaurant for an unexpectedly exceptional dinner. We were the last ones out so we chatted with the owner for a bit before returning to our room. Breakfast the next morning was great. It was one of my favorite stops on our 3 week journey around the UK. Would stay again. Cheers!

Fantastic location with two very hospitable hosts. I would defy anybody to find something that the boys had forgotten to provide. There was a breakfast of a higher standard than a five star hotel then in the room various bottled water, home made shortbread, crisps, chocolate wafer biscuits, chocolate marshmallows, fresh coffee facilities, and even cans of G and T plus freshly sliced lemon. There were also slippers, bath robes and vegan shampoos, soaps etc. We also had dinner there one night which was better than the local gourmet restaurant the White House. Best B and B ever

The room was fairly small but it cannot be changed as building is heritage listed.

Very pleasant, professional staff. Comfortable room. Iain prepares excellent food, dinner needs to be preordered. We can recommend the fruit pavlova, jummie. Good breakfast, all freshly prepared. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed. Location is nice and quite. We were very lucky with the weather so we could sit outside overlooking the loch. Suggestion for travelers who have difficulties finding accommodation on Mull. Leave your car at Finish ferries and make the crossing as a foot passenger, only a short walk to the accommodation. Dear Tom and Iain, ashame the trip from home to Lochaline is too long for just a weekend trip, otherwise we would visit frequently.

nothing we can think of

Where do I begin? When we arrived we were met at the door by Ian. He made sure we had everything we needed after a very long day of travel. There were fresh tulips in the room. There was an assortment of candies and cookies and even some clementines. The fridge was stocked with different assortments of drinks. We decided to have dinner there and it was by far the best meal we had in Scotland by a mile. Fresh roses were on our table. His attention to detail was phenomenal. Then we met Tom. Both of these guys were amazing. We tried to get a taxi for our trip to the isle of mull to no avail. Tom stepped up and offered to take the ferry with us and brought us where we needed to go for a nominal charge. He definitely saved the day!! Breakfast was so delicious as well. Views were spectacular from our window. The ferry is right there. Don't pass up this gem!!!

Tom and Iain were the most fantastic hosts. The rooms were lovely wwith everything you could possibly want and so much more, lovely little touches like usb points, shower gel, homemade shortbread, mini fridge with milk, juice and water. We had an evening meal there, Iain is a very talented chef, highly recommend having your meal there, you won’t be disappointed!! breakfast was also fantastic, fresh fruit, fresh baked bread and croissants, cereals, fresh juice. The bacon and sausage s were locally sourced and I’m told tasted amazing, egg s and mushrooms too. Highlight of a fantastic stay was meeting the lovely whiskey and Fergus the resident furbabies 🐶🐱can’t wait to go back and soak up those amazing views again

there was nothing I didn’t like!!
