The cottage was very cozy! It has almost everything we needed (no coffee maker of any kind, although it has coffee in one of the cupboards), we could park very close and the surroundings were very pretty. Big spacious kitchen and living room. Very beautiful bathroom.

The beds were too springy for us, but these are just preferences. Despite having a thermostat, the cottage was a bit cold in the morning. We did not inform the staff because we only stayed for one night, I'm sure they'd help us if we asked. One of us took a bath, one showered, and the next person did not have enough warm water to finish the shower because the hot water ran out, something you should keep in mind.

My sister & I were away for a relaxing couple of days and after a bad experience elsewhere we found The Airds Hotel & we loved it. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful & professional. They were lovely and made the trip realaxing & enjoyable. The views were stunning & our room was very comfortable and had everything needed & more. We will definitely return & highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this area.

There was nothing we didn't like about this place.

The hotel itself is small but comfortable, and is being slowly renovated. The bedrooms are lovely with large bathrooms and beautiful views of the water. The real treat was dinner! The food was outstanding - every dish was a winner and even though we ate a lot, we were still excited to come down for breakfast the next morning (we did get a walk in first to make sure that we were hungry). The staff were helpful and friendly.

The bar was not too well stocked - but that was a minor quibble. The area is best used as a base to explore, with a car, rather than having a lot to do in the immediate surroundings.

We stayed in the hotel bungalow (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen/dining, living room house) on the hotel grounds. It was very well-appointed and very relaxing. Some TVs did not work, but overall it was great. There was a nice walk directly from the hotel around the headland to the Port and back (45-60 mins and flat).

We did not eat at the hotel, it was way too expensive (UK70 each for a 2-course dinner, UK20 breakfast). We found a great restaurant nearby called The Creagan Inn Whisky Bar & Kitchen. We ate there twice and the service, food, value, and view were excellent.

Great Scottish welcome, log fires, really comfortable beds, big cotton white towels and robes. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice served in the dining room with beautiful views across the loch. The staff were brilliant.

Optional dinner, except when roads are closed with flooding, is expensive with small portions. The crab tian was so thin you could hardly taste the crab. I do enjoy more vegetables with dinner. A small spoon of creamy cabbage isn't really enough to count as one of the 1:5 portions needed per day. Shame because the food was delicious. it just needs some common sense and modernisation away from the 80s. The hotel shows a little wear and tear, but this is being addressed. There is a strong smell of carpet deodorant as dogs are allowed. Personally, I prefer the smell of dog haha.

I had dinner (3 courses) on my first night which was delicious and beautifully presented. The whole experience before dinner in one of the comfy lounges was delightful as the decor is so nicely done and comfortable to sit in. I can imagine in winter with the fires on that it feels very cosy. Lovely view from my bedroom overlooking the loch. Breakfast was a treat and a nice selection to choose from. I loved the wee Highland Cow cuddly toy as the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. This is an excellent place to stay if you are exploring the area, and the staff are exceptionally pleasant. There's also an easy c. 30 minutes circular walk from the hotel which I needed after my drive from Edinburgh.

Nothing to fault, I hope to return again.

Relaxed and friendly staff. Use of hotel facilities whilst staying in the cottage in the grounds. Comfortable hotel standard bedrooms in the cottage at a reasonable price. Port Appin a lovely location with great views.

There were some issues needing attention in the cottage eg. in the kitchen the oven shelf didn't fit safely, in the kitchen/ living room area the heating was inadequate, and the front door needs upgraded.

Great boutique hotel in an absolutely unique location with an amazing view of the bay. Very spacious and comfortable room with amenities and excellent bathroom. Great breakfast and dinner and really pleasant and helpful staff. On site parking.

A pity we couldn't spend more time there. Could have benefitted from having earlier breakfast, but not complaining.

All the memebers of staff were lovely, very professional, helpful and atentive. The cooked breakfast was exceptionally good. The hotel is in a beautiful location with a lovely garden with a stunning view. Our room was a good size, well furnished and very comfortable (excellent bed). The public rooms in the hotel are also lovely, clean and nicely furnished.

The evening meal menu was pretty limited and expensive although the food was good I would prefer more choice and some simpler lower cost options given you are pretty reemote from any alternative choice. Although it was good it was rich and not what I would wish to eat day in day out.

Breakfast was good, but nothing special…however, the coffee was outstanding. The views overlooking the garden with chairs, the water and islands, and the lighthouse are very pleasant.

I would have appreciated communication before our stay -recommending a visit to Castle Stalker (which needed prebooking ) and/ or to visit Lismore Island. There was a written sheet in the bedroom which suggested the circuit walk..but again, I think communication before ..with information of what special places are nearby so plans can be made before arrival. The music soundtrack in the dining room was not always needed or enjoyed.
