This is the second time I have stayed here when I arrive from overseas. The location to public transport, restaurants other fun areas is excellent. Price point reasonable for London. Room was small with shared bathroom, I never saw anyone else use it, everything was clean and it is what I booked.
It just felt tired. My pillow was paper thin and I had to ask for a second one. Toilet brush was disgusting, it sounds petty but we all have to occasionally use it and seriously they don't cost alot to replace. Look to the details Kip. I had booked a third a third stay but cancelled as there are lots of other choices.

Simple convenience, friendly and helpful staff.
The withdrawal of free fresh coffee and substitution with powder when rooms don’t have kettles so you can’t make your own. A false economy and brand wrecker.

Okay so, based on reading other reviews, I was nervous on arrival that the hotel would be awful. But it was much better than expected and I was really pleasantly surprised. All the staff I dealt with were lovely and approachable. I stayed in the small room with single bed, shared bathroom and it was nice and clean. Luckily I got one of the rooms with a window so I think that made my stay easier as I was there 4 nights in total (not sure how I would have felt without the window). The rooms were really warm and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly by staff. Only downside to the shared bathroom is the other guests and their cleanliness (no fault of the hotel itself). Location is brilliant for transport and I felt safe in the building - there's a few doors you have to get through with your key card to get to your room.
Only negative comment is what others have mentioned about the freight trains at night. It's super loud.

I had a double room with a window which was perfect for me on my own. My friends are a couple and they said the room was a bit cramped for two. The room was clean with nice decor and a smart TV which was a nice touch. Also a massive mirror and a lovely shower. Towels were included and the room was nice and clean. Comfortable bed! It's close to the train station, literally right outside and there is a costa next door.
I would recommend requesting a room with a window as my room was super stuffy even with the window open so I dread to think what the windowless ones are like. There was a fan/air con but it wasn't very powerful. I would have liked tea making facilities in the room. They were available but you have to request it from reception. Not a huge issue but I would have liked it already there. If you can't handle noise from passing trains then this won't be for you.

I recently stayed at this rental, and overall, the experience was decent. The location is very convenient, with easy access to buses and supermarkets nearby. However, I was disappointed with certain aspects of the stay. The rooms were not very clean, and the kitchen equipment, such as pots and pans, was in a terrible state—completely unusable. Additionally, there was no heating in the room, and despite reporting the issue, no one came to fix it. We were given a small portable heater, but it was insufficient, and we were very cold during our stay.

Spotlessly clean. Nice and helpful staff. The hotel itself was very quiet which was great. Bed was very comfortable. Its location is really convenient, right next to Hackney Central Station - so close that its building pretty much serves as the outside wall of the station, with the entrance via the station's car park. Despite this, there is no sound whatsoever from the trains at all, which was great. It's also than 30 minutes to central London. Very well served by public transport.
Room painted black with no window which gave it the feel of an existentialist novel. The lack of even the most basic of hotel room facilities - it's literally a bed, desk and TV - was just about doable for one night but after two it was starting to feel dystopian. No sink in the room and having to queue to use the shared bathroom just to brush your teeth was a bit irritating. No tea/coffee-making facilities. Having said that, I was on a tight budget and was so busy with work in central London that I only used it to shower and sleep so it suited my purposes. The fact that it was clean, quiet, and really well-managed, definitely helped.

Stayed here before in one of the tiny cabin rooms, and after staying in a larger room - it’s really worth it to have your own bathroom and significantly more space. The bed was really comfortable, the room was clean, it’s right next to Hackney Central station so good connections. Great food options and shops surrounding the hotel.
The area is a bit rough at night and if you’re a light sleeper, the train’s are noisy and so is the hotel (lots of slamming doors and you can hear voices throughout the night). Also, the room doesn’t have loads of storage which is a bit of a pain. Also the Roku tv doesn’t seem to work properly.

I needed somewhere to stay for the weekend between my long 14-hour shifts. I wanted something local, cheap and clean. Kip offered this, plus easy check-in, they allowed me to bring my bike to my room. The room is small but practical, with a bedside lamp, TV, plug sockets and a desk. The bed and pillow were comfortable. I don't know how many people were staying in the 6 single units I was in but the bathroom was always clean and free when I needed it. Some noise from the street but I expect that in London
It was what I needed and expected so I was not disappointed.

Very central location in Hackney, right next to the overground train station and bus stops. There are pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores within a two-minute walking distance. 24 hours reception with friendly staff, and free luggage storage on our check-out day.
Most things were good, we just have some minor complaints... Our room included a toilet, but the sliding door does not lock, or muffle any sound. Not a huge problem for intimate couples, but if you're sharing a room with a friend, this lack of privacy might be disturbing. There are toilets in the corridors, though. The shower floor felt a little slippery. There were no hooks on the wall inside the door, so you have to hang your coats all the way across the room.
